These drums are seriously the most "polished" tech death drums I've heard. Maybe not the most insanely technical ones(but still insanely technical), but everything about this song is just well-used and classy. It definitely was the stand out song off of this album for me.

The fact his Alex popularity came first from playing parts of other drummers, like in this video, and the HAARP Machine ones, where he plays the parts written by Craig Reynolds (who also is extremelly creative).

Interesting to have such a symmetrical kit, 2 toms, 2 floor toms, 2 rides, 2 hi hats, 2 splashes (ones a stack, but whatever), 2 crashes & 2 chinas. Must be really cool to play once you get used to it, and must improve your ability a lot to be ambidextrous & play open handed. I think if i were to have a kit like that, id want to put two bell chimes on top of the crashes, & a cowbell on each hi-hat stand
Love the symmetrical setup. Trying to do something similar, but I have my only hi hat directly in front on my snare (a remote hi hat) Would like to get a rack Tom on the right side, and place my kick front and center as well. Perhaps I can Jerry rig a remote kick pedal, using a double kick pedal, but sawing down the drive shaft to reduce its length? (Standard drive shaft is too long to place kick drum front and center, I’d need one about half the length)
