- JAPANESE HOT DOG RECIPE - 焼きそばパン - COOKING WITH CHEF DAI
Yakisoba is traditionally prepared by frying ramen-style wheat noodles with bite-sized pork, vegetables (usually cabbage, onions or carrots) and flavored with yakisoba sauce, salt and pepper. It can be served with a variety of garnishes such as aonori (seaweed flakes) and beni shoga (shredded pickled ginger).
Yakisoba-pan (pan meaning bread) is commonly available at local festivals or konbini (convenience stores) in Japan.
In this recipe, I've added an extra dimension to the typical yakisoba pan by adding some frankfurter sausages and fried onions, ingredients typical in a American style hot dog.
Ingredients:
large carrot x 1/3
large onion x 1/2
frankfurter sausage x 2
or
Japanese wiener sausage x 12
yakisoba noodles x 300g
hot dog buns x 4
butter x to spread liberally
chilli peppers x to taste
salt and black pepper x to taste
worcestershire sauce x 5 Tbsp
oyster sauce x 1 Tbsp
water x 50-100ml
cooking oil x 2 glugs
optional ingredients :
beni shoga pickled ginger
aonori seaweed flakes

I'm glad to see you back! Around the time you stopped posting videos, I actually spent a vacation in japan, so I finally got to taste all the dishes I saw in your videos. Before, it was kind of hard to cook something I've never tasted before. I also started learning japanese, but that's a secret because I'm not that good;)
