1:39 Does that count as porn or erotica?
You forgot BDSM, I think I enjoyed squeezing that egg far too much 🤔
Yeah I was gonna say the focus on that egg lasted an uncomfortable length of time. Like I was witnessing something I wasn't meant to see haha. I'm noticing a theme when it comes to runny and squishy eggs on this channel x-D
@@CookingwithChefDai Is this the mucilaginous texture described in Japanese as "neba-neba"?
I slipped out of my chair.
Y’all wrong defiled that poor egg 🥚 😂
No joke, I just made packet ramen and added all sorts of extras to get it fancied up. We added green onion, egg, and a Korean style pork cooked and marinated leftovers. They (my boys) ate it better than meals that I’ve made from scratch.
Love these ideas!
Oh my, what were the odds. Thank so much 🙏
Mate, the primer on Ramen you gave halfway through was excellent. Those little nuggets of info really add value to your content.
Thanks so much friend 🙏
Quick, easy, simple, awesome! 👍
I guess I know what’s for lunch tomorrow in my house! Nice recipe 🙌
Hi! The Miso ramen is also my favorite. Thanks for the vids. Do you have a video for a recipe of Miso Ramen? Would be great!!!
so awesome that you are back making videos again!!! i would love to see your recipe for your miso ramen broth, or your take on ramen broths in general. all your recipes taste so good :)
It's great having you back, I'm looking forward to all the new recipes you'll be sharing with us! With your delicious toppings and chashu recipes I would love to see broth and tare recipes that round up the ramen wheel :3 But I'm sure you have a long list of nice dishes already lined up, so either way, glad to see more of yours!
Thanks for another great video Chef! The way you cut the spring onions is really interesting and something I've not seen before so I really appreciate you sharing that technique. Every time you post another video it just makes me want to go to Japan even more. Keep up the quality content mate! Take care.
Thanks so much Albert. I appreciate the kind words mate as always and me too, I really want to go to japan too. Give me a shout if you ever decide to go and I’ll try and recommend some fun stuff to do.
All the best mate and take care of yourself!!!!!
Welcome back!
Thanks so much. This is actually the seventh video we’ve made in the last 2 months. May I ask, have you received any other of my videos by notification? I feel like a lot of people haven’t been notified.
@@CookingwithChefDai No, its not working
A good bowl of ramen is one of my favorite dishes. I'm going to make the marinated eggs tonight! Also I currently have mackerel filets in the smoker as I type this. Something that couldn't be done without viewing your instructional video on how to filet a mackerel. One of my favorite RUclips cooks!
Thanks much Ron, your comment really means more to us than I can express. Your smoked mackerels sound delicious! Please try the eggs, they really are delicious 😋
Good to see you back, Chef 👍
That magnified immensely my pangs for ramen chef. We have several decent ramen shops in my area. However, cases of covid 19 are still on the rise in my country so I still do not go out. I hope for better times for all of us. Stay safe chef.
Hello there. I know what you mean, I can’t wait for life to normalise so that we can return to all of those awesome restaurants. We are all safe, so can’t complain. Hope you and your family are all well too x
Hey chef! Always great to see new videos from you! Just wondering would it be possible for a video on how to make sukiyaki in the future?
Thanks so much. I will absolutely make sukiyaki for you!!!!!
So awesome now that you are back! Always look forward to new posts
Thanks so much, it’s so great to be back. Glad you like the videos 🙏
🥺 that looks so delicious!!!
Thanks so much🙏 I really enjoyed eating this one
Chef Dai finally back been waiting for long time
Where do you get cha shu? given the corn brand you are in the uk. Wing Yip? online?
Tonkotsu is all I've been able to get in my area of the US. For the corn topping I highly recommend adding smoked paprika, salt and pepper and getting a very slight caramelization on it. It is terrific on bean bowls and I bet it translates well to Ramen!
Ohhhh, that’s sounds awesome. I’m definitely going to give that a go!! Thanks
Always wondering how to make these half-cooked eggs. Definitely gonna try this soon. Could you please make a video about the pork broth? Thanks
Thanks so much. That is something I would love to do in the future!!!!
Great vid. Will there be a video on how to make that nice looking miso broth?
Absolutely, definitely one for the future!!! Thanks so much 🙏
Cooking with Chef Dai Grand, thanks for the reply. Looking forward to it.
Thank you. Your videos are so helpful! Miso is also a favourite in our house. One question about the eggs. How long can they stay in the bag in the fridge? Can you make a larger portion and use them over a week?
You’re welcome, thanks for watching. I personally would eat them before three days. As the marinade contains water, it won’t last too long.
@@CookingwithChefDai Thanks :)
Depending on the salt content of the marinade/brine, the yolk starts to get cured. At about 1 day you have a runny yolk, but by the end of 3 days you'll have a cured yolk with a more gelatinous texture. After about a week, the egg starts to pickle and take on a little funk (not in a bad way, just different). I would plan the batch based on your preferred texture and strength of flavour; if you like a 1 to 3 day egg, rotate a new batch of 3 eggs into the bottom of the bag every 3 days. Just remember to taste the marinade every time and adjust the seasoning, because the eggs exchange their water content for the marinade (osmosis), thereby diluting it. Cheers!
Good morning Chef, happy Sunday to you and the family, and thank you for another sterling lesson in fine cooking.. Have a wonderful weekend and take care brother.. D&Pxx
Good morning D & P, happy Sunday to you too. Although every day feels like a Sunday these last few months 😆
You’re very welcome, likewise, the way you fabricate your parts as in your last video was truly mesmerising!!!! Always a learning day when I watch your vids. Enjoy the rest of your day and ride safe x
Nice
Awww! I'm hungry again at 10:50pm, I can hear that crunchy bean sprouts...i miss ramen😭
i am glad you are back, was wondering what happen to your channel for awhile :). Could you make a video of Poke Tacos or a japadog :) thx
Thanks so much 🙏 I love Japanese fusion, I would love to make it one day on this channel. Thanks for the suggestions
you're so amazing chef! lucky that I found your channel.
Thanks so much Troy. I appreciate it. I think I’m the lucky one having you watch my videos 🙏
Did you make this video yesterday when it was 38 degrees? Whenever it was, I appreciate your dedication demolishing a bowl of piping-hot ramen when it's been scorching and generally way too still. That said, a good bowl of ramen is irresistible! [And that was clearly a gooood bowl of ramen...]
Hello mate, hope you’re well. Fortunately this wasn’t made the other day when it was scorching hot. I think it was around 25C though, hot enough. Thanks for watching 🙏
These all look super tasty! Now i've got some good ideas to spice up the packaged ramen I'll probably be carrying for lunch :p
Great stuff, hope you enjoy them. Thanks a lot as always Courtney
I don't know why I keep watching these videos even after a meal when I just end up hungry again. Seriously. LoL
I like it. Love from North East India. Another Part of India
Thanks so much. Would love to visit India one day. My brother said it is one of the most beautiful countries he has ever been to. He said the food was so unbelievably good and the people so friendly. Greetings from London, 🇬🇧
@@CookingwithChefDai thank you. Most welcome to India. Let the situation become normal. Must Visit North Eastern Hills of India. 🙏
Konichiwa chef dai watching from philippine
Hi from the UK 😊
When I "fancify" instant ramen, I crack an egg into it. I really need to up my game.
To be fair, I do the same when I want a quick meal.
👍
Bamboo shoots(menma) and a strip of nori should be included for that Japanese taste experience. Green onion sprinkle for color and aroma.
can you use the marinade again after you used it for the first time?
You could freeze it, defrost it when you want to use it but boil it (and cool down) before using again. Because it contains water, it will go off very quickly.
Jesus!! I got soooo hungry watching you eat!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure it tastes brilliant but doesn't look very appealing. I would add a bit of green to it for colour. Thank you for your video, sir.
Back in the game :o
Can you do okonomiyaki :-)
Hi chef, thank you to bring my cooking skills to the next level❤️
Hi there, you’re welcome. Glad I could help. Thanks for watching
me pretending to do this while cracking an egg into top ramen and putting chili powder and soy sauce in it and bacon bits. Same thing same thing.
Miso is my favorite. Tonkatsu is tasty, but just too rich for me. This looks great.
1:48 buttered sweetcorn
Thought about making a tsukemen video (where the broth is super thiccc)? Pretty much all of the English speaking recipes seems to make pretty thin broths for dipping instead of the almost gravy-like broths that require soup-wari in order to drink in the broth. Ignoring the whole talk about long (60+) cook times, I've also seen talk about using thickeners like potato starch. A video featuring heavy, thick noodles and how to make a proper, very thick tsukemen broth would be a warm welcome.
That is a great suggestion!! You’re right, haven’t seen many on RUclips. Thanks a lot
That's one big portion of food.... looks really tasty though.
10:50 is so true
I know right 😂 hope you’re well mate
check out "way of ramen" he has great ramen recipes
#wholeegggang
Where have you been? I miss you!!!!!
Thanks so much. This is actually our seventh video in the last 2 months. I have a feeling that my subs have not been notified by RUclips. We started a restaurant a few years ago and were very busy. Currently in lockdown ☹️
@@CookingwithChefDai I'm one of the lucky ones, coz I'm always notified 😉 Maybe they haven't activate the bell icon...
Miso is probably one of my favorites. When I'm being lazy I throw together some quick chicken broth with miso, toss in some rice noodles, veg and an egg and you've got a quick, healthy meal.
Sounds awesome. I love it too 🥰
Delicioso ,lastima que este casado¡¡😉
You can’t miss nori on a ramen.
Very true, unfortunately I was out of nori that day.
Still trying to keep my excitement down, incase he leaves me again!
I saw the ring and I broken hearted
😂 x
That face on the thumbnail
this is more toppings than ramen
I've been a subscriber for a long time, please don't resort to terrible thumbnails like these...ugh. The weird face thing is just so cringe.
😂
