- In the realm of crafting and creativity, a video awaited, promising to reveal the art of crafting extraordinary puffy keychains. The secret? Puffy foam and the enchanting technique of embroidery.
First, we secured the tear-away stabilizer in the trusty hoop. With precision, we stitched the dieline directly onto it, marking our path.
Next, we introduced the star of the show: the puffy foam sheet. It nestled inside the hoop, covering our design completely. The machine needle guided us as we stitched the outline, delicately perforating the foam.
With care, we removed the excess puffy foam, preserving our creation. A needle with an SES point proved vital, ensuring perfection. A 60 needle with SES tip or a hot air blower helped overcome stubborn foam.
For an awe-inspiring 3D effect, we layered two sheets of puffy foam on the base fabric and bonded them with adhesive spray. It was truly magical.
A layer of non-fraying fabric came next, secured by tape. Stitching the letter outlines in brown faux leather brought elegance.
The hoop held our project tightly, but it was not time to unhoop yet. The entire in-the-hoop project awaited completion within a single hooping.
The hoop turned, revealing the backside of our masterpiece. Another layer of non-fraying fabric covered the stitches, ensuring a polished finish. Tape aided in alignment.
We embarked on the final stitching, outlining the key fob. With satisfaction, we released our creation from the hoop and delicately cut out the shape.
Lastly, we added snaps or a swivel clasp, giving our keychain its finishing touch. And with that, our enchanting journey reached its end.

What is a SES needle , I do understand it is a ball point needle but never heard the term SES ?

Buy that puff foam at and how many sheets would I have to use. Would a 2mm thickness be good enough for these key fobs will I still have 2 add 2 sheets of foam how does this work.
