    Looks like that lady that claims she has the patent for the emboss embroidery did not contact Ricoma. Maybe she is just trying to scare small mom and pop shops.

    I love that class. Thanks you for giving me the opportunit to learn something new. I'm going to try that as soon as I can, but what I learned the most was how to use a marker to get an accurate Trace line. I can't wait for the next class.

      Hi! For the stabilizer, we used 2.5 medium weight.

      @@ricomatv Medium weight cutaway? could you use a fabric for the backing since you have the white stabilizer also hooped? Seems like it would be softer on the skin, but may not be stiff enough for the foam. What do you think?

    Love this technique, it looks so neat. I was wondering if you have had contact from the woman who has been claiming the patent on this technique and has been sending take down demands or pay licensing all over youtube etc?

      I'm guessing she's bluffing. That's like me doing a 3d foam design on a hat. And she's claiming that's her technique. 😂

    When I put the width in it gets really small, any suggestions on how to change this, also having issues changing the colors before tracing.

      Hi! The longevity depends on the aftercare. We recommend turning the sweatshirt inside out when washing it, using mild detergent, washing in cold water, and air drying.

    I love this idea, but I recently came across a RUclipsr who was warned obout doing an embroidery embossing video. Apparently someone has the patent on it and they are going after people using it. I presume Ricoma has purchased the licence from her to show this video!

      It is actually really easy to do and very hard to mess up. Try it, you will see how easy it is.

    That's ugly and not the real embossed way. The run stitch makes it look ugly. Don't think I'll do this nor waste foam. There gotta be a better way than this. This is a crafters craze.

      The real embossed way would require you to get a hydraulic press, make custom molds for every item you are going to make, and this is very expensive and takes a lot of time. Or you can do it this way. Thanks for watching.

      You can send $$$$ On silicone heat press ..Thats the way to do it with out stitching..
