Looks like that lady that claims she has the patent for the emboss embroidery did not contact Ricoma. Maybe she is just trying to scare small mom and pop shops.
I love that class. Thanks you for giving me the opportunit to learn something new. I'm going to try that as soon as I can, but what I learned the most was how to use a marker to get an accurate Trace line. I can't wait for the next class.
Thank you so much for the video, very helpful. I see where you used 2 cut away stabilizer, but what was the black material you used, and was it ironed on?
@@ricomatv Medium weight cutaway? could you use a fabric for the backing since you have the white stabilizer also hooped? Seems like it would be softer on the skin, but may not be stiff enough for the foam. What do you think?
Love this technique, it looks so neat. I was wondering if you have had contact from the woman who has been claiming the patent on this technique and has been sending take down demands or pay licensing all over youtube etc?
Hi! The longevity depends on the aftercare. We recommend turning the sweatshirt inside out when washing it, using mild detergent, washing in cold water, and air drying.
I love this idea, but I recently came across a RUclipsr who was warned obout doing an embroidery embossing video. Apparently someone has the patent on it and they are going after people using it. I presume Ricoma has purchased the licence from her to show this video!
Have you received a letter from the person with the patent for this effect? Some other RUclipsrs have. for reference: ruclips.net/video/f8f-10aOedw/видео.html
That's ugly and not the real embossed way. The run stitch makes it look ugly. Don't think I'll do this nor waste foam. There gotta be a better way than this. This is a crafters craze.
The real embossed way would require you to get a hydraulic press, make custom molds for every item you are going to make, and this is very expensive and takes a lot of time. Or you can do it this way. Thanks for watching.

That weird because I heard alot about all this oh wait maybe it is ricoma the whole time
Brilliant clear instructional video. So much quicker tham the traditional trapunto embroidery, that I used to do for many many years.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi! We are so happy to hear this, let us know if you have any questions!

Hi! That was black stabilizer!
What backing did you use? Definitely want to try this!
Hi! For the stabilizer, we used 2.5 medium weight.

Awesome Tutorial! Best yet!
Thanks for making this video. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while but I didn’t want to use hat foam.
Glad it was helpful! Let us know how it goes. (:
Can you link your ruler?
Great video, I really enjoyed the dude talking us through. Good job
We appreciate the love! We linked the ruler below, let us know if you need anything else.

I don’t have ricoma just a regular sewing embroidery machine. Will this work with that?
yes it will. This is an easy one to do.
NICE! thanks for the idea, will definitely give it a try!
Awesome, let us know how it goes :)
Great video! Did you program this so the middle letter "A" was stitch first to evenly distribute the fabric?
Tracey
Yes I did
Awesome video and how too! Very detailed and the sharpie marker vs the placement stitch is genius!!
Glad you liked it!
Excellent. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🙌🏾
We appreciate the love, Allan!
Love the shirt and would love to own a Ricoma 10 needle! Someday hopefully!😊
We are ready whenever you are!

I'm guessing she's bluffing. That's like me doing a 3d foam design on a hat. And she's claiming that's her technique. 😂
@@johndoeee888 I agree but she is going after small designers who dont have the funds to fight.
@@wendytownrow3950 she's mad because it was probably her niche. And now everyone is doing it.
Excellent video. Much appreciated❤❤
We are so glad this was helpful!
love this...thanks for teaching
Can you do this on t-shirts or other material?
You should be able to do it on almost anything. Like always though test, test, test.
I really enjoyed this video
I'm so glad!
How long does this last? And what’s the best way to wash?
Hi! The longevity depends on the aftercare. We recommend turning the sweatshirt inside out when washing it, using mild detergent, washing in cold water, and air drying.
When I put the width in it gets really small, any suggestions on how to change this, also having issues changing the colors before tracing.
I'm sorry, but I am not understanding your question. Can you please rephrase it?
I couldn’t see how you did the magic knot! Which video shows that?
See if you can slow down the video in your settings so you can see how it is done.
When using foam and backing do you have to use a longer needle ?
Hi! You can use the standard needle!
Gracias por las clase, nesecito aprender más de chroma luxe 🙏

I have an MT1501, How did you move what you called the pentagram over without moving the thread unit?
Hi! We recommend reaching out to our customer service team so they can provide you with a step-by-step process. > ricoma.com/US/support
What kind of foam is that? And where can I get some?
Hi! We recommend checking our some craft stores!
Can I buy Chroma Lux and use it permanently?
Hello, Thank you for watching. You actually until the end of the month to buy it out right. Only the subscription model is being offered after that.
What’s the best way to digitize an “embossed” font?
Hi! We included a digitizing tutorial in this video. Let us know if you need any help.
Can you do this on a single needle machine?
absolutely
I missed what you hooped initially. It looks like 2 layers of stabilizer?
Hi! We have used two layers of medium-weight stabilizer!
@@ricomatv thank you for responding!

I wonder what it would look like with a different color stitch
Tag us if you try it!
I normally duplicate then turn that into a running stitch.
I would love to see your designs. Post them on our facebook group if you like.
But how easy it is to align that with the top to assure it stitches right on top
good tutorial....but the music is disturbing...
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. We will keep this in mind.
why are you using cap plates???
Hi! Are you referring to the hoop?

Its a good idea for business too long and human errors always occur to this process😅😅😅
It is actually really easy to do and very hard to mess up. Try it, you will see how easy it is.
