No 1: grill some chicken (me: 2 days later I need more chicken because I ate it all 🤦🏾‍♀️)
I love the fruits hack, I do it with Healthier options of my food. That way I have to eat it as I hate waste. Very helpful tips

Another lovely video Kitchen Muse. Thank you. 👍🏾👍🏾
Some of my meal prep hacks:
Ginger paste - Like you, I peel a lot of ginger, blend and store in the freezer. It always comes in handy.
However I've not tried a ginger/garlic blend before. I cook with garlic too but I buy already peeled one from the store (that's my own 'garlic hack' 😜) and chop or blend whenever I need it.
Tomato stew - I usually cook a large batch and store in the freezer. It always comes to my rescue when I'm cooking jollof rice, jollof spaghetti etc.
Soup hacks - I usually cook a large batch of stockfish and dry fish and store in the freezer. This way, I have them ready to go on days I cook soups.
Chopped tomatoes and peppers - With my manual chopper (Starfrit or T-fal), I prepare batches of chopped tomatoes and peppers which come in handy when I want to prepare egg sauce, yam sauce, fried egg and the like.
Your onion hack is cool. I also don't like to chop onions. However since I got the T-fal manual chopper, my onion tears are no more! I use this if I want finely shredded onions. Just throw in the washed onion (I usually halve it), pull on the knob/string several times and voila, you have shredded onion (the kind that almost disappears in your oil!)
If I want diced onions, I use the Starfrit chopper. Also another time saving and "tearless" chopper.
I also use the Starfrit for dicing okro. Gone are the days when I used to chop okro with a knife on a chopping board. With the Starfrit chopper, my chopped okro is ready in minutes.
Errrrrm. Sorry I think I'm beginning to sound like I'm advertising something 🙄🙄. Noooooo...Just sharing kitchen tools that save me time. 🙏🏼

Usually buy habanero in bulk wash, blend, freeze.same goes for herbs like parsley, celery, curryleaves, spring onion and anyother of choice just wash, cut them up and freeze too..you just take it directly from the freezer and use, lovely way to incorporate healthy herbs into food

Many thanks Ma'am. I find these tips highly useful. Another hack I use is buying bulk crayfish and dry pepper (red and cameroun peppers) that can last me for 2 months at least. I select them, sun them and grind them. I put them in separate jars and use them whenever I need them. These don't need refrigeration. It works for me, just thought I should share.

    • @thekitchenmuse

Do we store in fridge or freezer? Also, won't the glass container crack from freezing? Do you freezer the jellof rice, if yes, does it not affect the texture of the rice when you bring it out?
Will definitely start the the onions, ginger and garlic hack, I get to do that everyday I have to cook. Thank you for this.

You’re welcome. The jars I used are freezer safe so it doesn’t crack when I put it in the freezer. Everything goes in the fridge except the garlic and ginger paste cos I use it all the time.
