Weird thing is, Tamriel isn't a terrible place to live most of the time. It was only after the collapse of the Septim dynasty following the Oblivion Crisis that things went really south. There are plenty of things that could violently end you, of course, but most people don't encounter those unless they go looking. -The Princes get up to their shenanigans, but that's typically small-scale stuff, barring the occasional large event like The Oblivion Crisis or Umbriel. However, there's usually some hero tied to a prophecy that's in place to counter them, possibly thanks to the Divines being pretty firmly in the Good Guys corner. -There're evil mages, but good ones too. Necromancers tend to get squashed pretty hard by the Mages Guild or pesky adventurers, even if it takes them a bit of time. -Vampires are scary, until you realize that there're orders dedicated to taking them down, and vampires are pretty rare overall. -The oddball monster (bandits, goblins, trolls, etc) usually isn't a huge problem; the empire had patrols to help keep the roads and villages safe, but the games all take place during times when there's some kind of crisis going on, so they aren't able to perform their normal functions. And most travelers would move in groups for safety regardless. In my opinion, the biggest general threats are the Thalmor and The Sloads. -Considering the Thalmor's general policy is xenophobia, and their stated objective is to undo reality... yeah that equally screws everyone. That said, the presence of the Dragonborn seems to imply that Akatosh (and the other Divines) oppose the Thalmor. -The Sloads are a bit different; they're just really prolific slavers and necromancers as a species. They're supposed to be really big problems for The Altmer and the Redguards, since they raid those areas. All that said, it's certainly true that if one goes looking for trouble in Tamriel, they can certainly find it. The occasional village or farmstead did get attacked and overrun by goblins, and travelers did get attacked by bandits. But society as a whole tends to keep moving. Even though every couple centuries someone tries to destroy the world.
@@yousmeel9127 Yeah, I feel ya. It's one of those franchises with a lot of really interesting/confusing lore. But the format of Why You Would/Wouldn't Survive isn't really geared toward things like The Elder Scrolls, since Wow tends to focus on how an event would play out on Earth in the present day. That said, I'd be 1000% on board if Wow decided to do something a bit different for TES. Like, "why you would/wouldn't survive being isekaied to The Elder Scrolls" or something. Until such a time, the best I can recommend are Fudgemuppet's lore videos.

Narifamen Then why you would survive the elder scrolls universe? Tbh I just want to see some elder scrolls content
