All the fallout games involve you either losing memory of life in the wasteland or being isolated from the wasteland in a vault. I would love to see a fallout game where the tutorial you start as a child raised IN the wasteland, possibly told legends of evil ghouls/ super mutants only to have your perception change in adulthood when you're encouraged to explore
I would love a fallout game in which you could actually somewhat choose your origin, starting in different places and factions accordingly. They could even add an option of something like "the stranger", in which your background and origin is entirely up to you to decide, but in which you start out as a foreign explorer so that you at least have a place to start.
It would be hard to implement though. Would each of these characters have access to the iconic pip-boy? After all, it's the device that allows our inventory management, radio and vats system to exist in the first place.
I don't think it would be impossible though.
Fallout Van Buren was the original Fallout Game that wanted to do a lot more with customization, such as allowing characters to become ghouls and such. It's sad to think the original creators no longer own the rights to what could have been a brilliant franchise.

IDEA to FALLOUT FANS in 2020 & to FREEDOM LOVERS: Play the real original story lore game for real; and/or to Step UP Cos-Play to Next Level for F.O., to payoff for some real world benefits like producing food, sanitation tools, self-defense tools, secure bunkers, protective clothing and armor; new robust vehicles, and so on. This fun action is especially needed, since in the real world there are issues due to lock-downs, bizarre corruption, political correctness, civil wars (i.e. factions); upside down economics; rapid technology advances; special treatments to overlords (i.e. politicians, overseers); fraud gone wild; and so on. And, the FALLOUT I.P. is overall being mismanaged, and the sims (i.e. Fallout games) are not very accurate to lore, nor to immersion. What do you think F.O. The reason why background radiation was worse at Chernobyl was because of spent nuclear fuel rods, which isn’t as deadly as a nuke in fallout. The bombs were delivered by just dropping them and waiting for them to hit the ground. The earth absorbs the impact so it’s easier to go back and re-inhabit the wasteland
Nuclear weapons don't hit the ground before they explode even the oldest nukes like little boy and fat man had altimeters installed to detect altitude and detonate and around 1500 feet to cause more damage

My dad was a kid when they had videos about nuclear bomb safety in elementary schools and I’ve honestly wondered how they believed a school desk would protect them from a nuclear blast
It was never meant to protect from a close range blast(that would blow away the building) but from glass shrapnel if a detonation further away blows out the windows. You don't want to get that radioactive dust into an open wound.
Also to duck into the next area providing shadow does protect against the initial heat blast(which would otherwise, depending on distance, burn your skin).
In other words those tips, contrary to popular opinion or "common sense"(lol), would help with early survival.
On the other hand most people in such a scenario wouldn't die from the blast or even radioactivity but from starvation because without modern complex infrastructure the land can only support about 1/10 of our current population density(depending on the area you live in).
I mean if that's small wooden desk can protect you from a nuclear blast or the shockwave then I'm pretty sure every building will be made out of wood cuz then you wouldn't have to worry about it

you cant compare containment of atomic explosion and Chernobyl disaster. Why? Because what happened in Chernobyl is more like *dirty bomb* - to many nuclear particles that wont appears when atomic bomb detonates.
Could you explain to me how dirty modern nuclear weapons are? In comparsion to Chernobyl or the nuclear bomb on hiroshima.
Because i always thought they would optimize the bombs to do more damage and less radiaton.
@@ironczar8975 my apologies for my language - im from Ukraine, but I'll try. Yeah, you correct about optimization. But what happened in Chernobyl technically was not a nuclear explosion, it was much less destructive (destroyed roof and walls of reactor) than in Hiroshima, but put 400 times more radioactive material into the Earth's atmosphere ( because of great amount "fuel" that reactor uses). So we have explosion that contaminated area for a long period of time. On the other hand atomic explosion main purpose of is to cause destruction not a containment. That's why i called it dirty bomb. Nope. 21 is the gambling vault in the strip (21 simbolizes blackjack or luck). Vault 22 is the very very strong fungus vault. Fungus need darkness and hot environments.
One little detail, is that the U.S in fallout was holding on to the oil, however they discovered fusion technology as a fossil fuel alternative. They decided to also keep that technology to themselves, despite China knowing about it and requesting to work with the U.S to further develop it, in exchange for that technology. The fallout universe may not have ended up the way it did had the U.S decided to share that technology. Though its understandable that they wouldn't, fusion power was going into military applications like power armor and aircraft propulsion. That, and by the time it was discovered the U.S was already at war with China.

You forgot that even if you survive that, the Enclave may just murder you and everyone else in the Wasteland using Genocidal versions of the FEV.
Oookay...a lot of mistakes in this. The exclusion zone for Chernobyl isn't uninhabitable. People do live their permanently, they're just not supposed to. Sure they're cancer rates are elevated, but not dramatically. Only the immediate area around the containment cask is actually dangerous for prolonged exposure.
I think the cannibalistic tendencies of the super mutants was missed, not that it matters. Plenty of things to kill you. Like that wild west movie with Seth MacFarlane. Still, I find the super mutant viewing of humans as food (and their appalling lack of sanitation within their living spaces) the most frightening.
Do why you wouldn't survive the lambet from gears of war 3

This doesnt take into account reactors melting down or lack of food nor the thought that immeddiatly exiting the vault after 20yr the horrible mutations
The reactors HAVE fail safes and they don't fucking BURN YOU INSIDE OUT CONSTANTLY, they are managed by A.I. , you really should realize that the society of the Fallout Universe, was way more nuclearly dependent than we were, but reactors melting down every two seconds? That never happened at any of the Power Plants in 76.
Chernobyl was not a nuclear blast. nuclear reactors do not explode like nuclear bombs. completely different types of reaction
Fallout is the best
Hell yeah!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Fallout 76 begs to differ
If this happens I’m playing BIG IRON when walking through the city. Lmao!!!
Most of the people watching this video would starve if the super market closed. lol
We don't even need a nuclear apocalypse.
I guess youre of the mindset that people like myself, bed ridden & wheelchair bound with no family should be taken out back & shot........
Because realistically a world after a global thermonuclear exchange would resemble the glowing sea.
That's why I'm working on RL power armor in my garage. So far, gluing soup cans to a sweatsuit does not work... Next, aluminum foil and scotch tape...Hopefully that one stops a bullet... My health insurance premiums keep skyrocketing...
That’s not really the case because after a nuclear detonation the half life of radioactive isotopes are relatively short so it may be fucked in the short term (RELATIVELY speaking) after 200 years the radiation levels from nuclear detonations would drop significantly, unless you’re in West Virginia where they’re detonating nukes every day begging to destroy what little they have left lmao
most of the particles in a nuclear explosion are either used in the reaction, evaporated due to the explosion, or just thrown all around and high up into the atmosphere (or in the case of the Tsar Bomba just shy of literal space) and as a result the actual radiation rather quickly dissipates. Although with entire arsenals being shot off it is different and thus would last longer but 200 years is still way too long for there to be any substantial amount of radiation excluding a nuclear reactor which can stay dangerously radiotactive for thousands of years but even then 200 years would be enough time to more or less mitigate it to giving extremely high chances of server birth defects and cancer while actual radiation poisoning and death not as bad/as quick. A good example is how the elephant foot in Chernobyl used to be able to give you a lethal dose of radiation in less then 3 minutes (when it was found 8 months after the incident), but only 10 years after it was only releasing a tenth of the radiation is did before and would require over a hour to give you a lethal dose (I mean still minutes to give you mild radiation poisoning and most definitely cancer or at-least a tremendous increase in risk of getting cancer but you would just die)

Corrections:
-The major difference between our timeline and their is the transistor was never invented until just before the war.
-The first nukes were used by Europe against middle eastern nations not by terrorists
-The PVP project attempted to cure the New Plague which was a pathogen killing millions of Americans
-It is unknown who launched first at it resulted not from debate but esculation by all parties. In Brotherhood of Steel it was revealed though no longer canon that the Vault Tec CEO fired 3 nukes at the US and 3 at china.
-Nuclear warfare was in the 50s believed to be the endfall of humanity which the Fallout games are based on it's depiction. In the 70s new studies and science determined the world would recover in about 40 years and would never plunge into a nuclear winter.
-Your ability to survive a nuclear blast depends entirely on your location and the yield. Nukes contrary to popular misconception except at very high yields do not actually vaporize everything. You are most likely going to burn to death.
-Chernobyl wasn't a nuclear blast it was a nuclear meltdown. Huge difference. A nuclear blast vaporizes much of it's fissle material. An extremely efficient warhead is theoretically radiation free (we do not possess this tech)
-The spore was invented at Big Mount and tested at 22 unbeknownst to the scientists. At a certain point it could no longer be contained.
-Vault 22 was evacuated, but continued to carry the spores as they traveled. Their upper facilities were diminished and the hoard is regarded as extremely violent and brutal towards their own
-Eugenics is not exclusive to Nazis and has been practiced by communists more often
-most people survived on the surface
-many ghouls were survivors of those hit by the nukes, the majority in the original Fallout were from the vault
-Becoming a ghoul is caused by genetics or a chemical cocktail/airborn FEV
-Ghouls aren't a race, the word you want is prejudices or bias and that is caused because all ghouls eventually go feral
-The Forced Evolution Virus does not function like that in the slightest, it modifies the dna of it's host and it does not by default turn you into a super mutant. A super mutant occurs as a result of a refined dipping process the Master created. FO3 keeps the process their mutants were created with extremely vague because the lead writer boasts about not learning the lore of the series he work on
-the FEV is spread by dipping and injection. A nuke at West Tec sent the virus airborne
-The master forced people to join their ranks as part of a scheme to fix humanity. West Coast super mutants are focused on fixing the FEV sterility issue not dipping more humans. The East coast don't dip (or make sense).
- Super mutants on the west coast are all intelligent, super mutants on the East coast are memes created by bad writing
Honestly dude, I came to see how hard it would be to survive in the Wasteland not get one of the worse renditions of the lore I've heard to date. The wikia and Gamepedia exist and there are short lore videos. There is no excuse for how shit this was.
*criticizes Caesars Legion*
*calls it Kaiser’s Legion*
-Common Sense: Am I a joke to you?-
Actually that is what it would have sounded like in early Latin for all I know, the different sounds for C (z/k instead of k only) came later in Roman history and the ae would originally have been a diphtong.
Raf H yea I know, just all anti legion pronounce it saesar, when it really should be called kaiser either way
@@bumsmeller7950 toss my salad, caesar!

No. Not "Kaiser's" legion. Caesars legion is pronounced correctly that way. Pronouncing it like see-sur is a bastardization.
Also, I don't see how pronouncing the name of a faction in a certain way means you can't criticize the legion, or how that is somehow against "common sense".

Would be interesting, I'm currently writing FONT (Fallout: the Northern Trail), it takes place in Washington and Oregon {unintentionally, but there is a limbo vault [Can't be proven Canon but non-canon either] Vault 6 that was right under mt St. Helens, it's experiment was to slowly expose the dwellers to radiation until everyone turned to ghouls (even the Overseer), it's unclear if it was a successful test or not, but you'll have to find out whether that vault survived.} There's a bunch more stuff I'm working on like Vault 25, where there was 30 Female, 8 Males, 1 Overseer (Female), and 6 dogs of 10 separate breeds each (60 in total), to test how much a person would give up to keep their beloved pets, though a broken water filter (not-intentional) caused the deaths of 40 dogs to radiation poisoning, and six became mongrels, about 2 years after the incident the vault opens up to trade, becoming a somewhat pre war kennel, and even trading away their new surplus dog food, the player character's vault, is [REDACTED].
Keep in mind, it's a just a pitch draft, but it's still something.
