Welcome to the club. I sold my road bike. In the US, having a gravel bike is just so much more liberating.
Makes perfect sense
@@TwoWheelCruise Especially since endurance bikes are pushing 35mm tires these days anyways. Just get a 2nd wheelset for road rides and a gravel bike is all you need, unless you're doing group rides where the gearing would be too slow.
Love the 1x setups. I’ve been running 2x gearing as 1x by removing the big ring, front derailleur, and adding a bash guard to the crankset for about 20 years now. Nice and simple for commuting.
I'm also glad that you've succumbed to the idea that gravel bikes are a genre unto themselves and that they can be unique & fun to ride.
Hard to deny at this point but there is lots of crossover between categories.
I really like that you always see the functionality over the brand on the bike. btw, nice looking 😎
Very cool. Nice to see some competition out there to the big brands
That's very exciting! They are a great bike from what I've heard.
Very cool that you found Poseidon
Great review! Getting one soon.
The path to n+1, looks beautiful! ❤✌🏾
Nice. Microshift has been around for decades, but they became more well-known during the pandemic parts shortage. I run Advent X and Advent 9 on two different bikes and had Advent 9 on another bike. Solid groupset and a great bang for the buck. Def underappreciated compared to the big three.
Interesting, I didn’t know that
I am beyond excited to watch all the incredible cycling adventures with ur new bike! First time commenting as ur fan from Myanmar 🇲🇲
Thanks 😊
What are the pro and cons of 650 wheels vs 700c wheels?
Awesome build.
i usually put tool box for the bottom bottle cage mount since that place gets dusty and dirt all the times
I have had this bike for years. 12,000 miles great bike.
Awesome! Great to hear it’s holding up well
I have had a lot of fun on the original Poseidon X. They have always been great value for the money and the team seems to do a great job of balancing component choices with performance for entry to mid-level experienced riders that need a budget build. it is nice to see their range of colors has expanded from the "Henry Ford" basic black. Definitely a good frame to grow on as long as you do not need front and back thru axles wheels.
I will be curious to see you impressions of the one by build. Nice it comes stock with 40 mm tires, pretty much the normal for gravel bikes now.
The stock build on this has been great so far. Tires are perfect
The bike looks great, looking forward to hearing how the group-set goes. Nanana has a cool bottle shaped tool kit if you are looking for bolt on options, that girl has it going on !
That sounds cool
Hello. Whenever you get a chance. I would love for you to try/review and get your opinion on the Priority Apollo gravel bike.
It’s a carbon belt, internal gearing, low maintenance gravel bike. Thank you and keep up your nice work!
Great bike with super awesome man bun XD
Will you be posting anything new soon?
899 with trp spyre! Great deal, usually at this price you get tektro etc. Anyway if you somehow need upgrade juin tech caliper is awesome.
Whan are you gonna post again, and where is Thuong?
Hey Cruise, do you have any video summarizing what the traffic and road conditions are like in Japan? I live in Da Nang now** and I saw a video you had about traffic in Vietnam and I think we feel the same ways, so I'd be interested in a summary about Japan from you, and also Taiwan if you experience that enough to give an overview
I'm riding a lot now and get tired of some things here some times (the heat/humidity, rain, and traffic danger). I'm wondering if I should go spend time in Japan or Taiwan.
(**And seeing your Strava KOMS all over around here 😀)
Any idea what kind of fenders would fit this bike? I’m relatively new to cycling (aside from the occasional recreational ride) and my X Ambition is being delivered Wednesday. Looks like the only place to mount a front fender is the bottle cage mounts?
Very nice. Looks clean. The polished aluminum looks very classy. I'm interested in your review of the componentry. I haven't heard of that brand.
Thanks. Components have been doing well so far
Hello i just subscribed i am going to purchase that bike but i was wondering did you buy a new stem. I am new to cycling i like the set up you have it looks a lot better than the one on the website I will be getting a medium if you could if you did buy a stem could you tell me what you bought and did the bike come with spacers thank you.
I prefer quick release tbh lol, I just got (ordered) a Cannondale Synapse Sora to hopefully speed up my commute/make it easier since it's like 20lbs lighter than my MTB.
I kind of do too 😂
Are you ever going to make another video ever again, we all like your videos are we are wondering how you are doing and you haven't answers anyone's comments. Hope you are doing well. 😀
What's with the ELI disappearing act??
Glad to hear another rider who appreciates mechanical disk brakes on gravel bikes...enjoy gravel biking sir!!🎉😮😊
Yep they’re great!
cool bike
getting one in two weeks for commuting
Your bike shirt is great! Where can I buy one? Enjoy your new bike on quiet roads.
Thanks! It’s from Tokyo signs
I had a chromed aluminum Cannondale a long time ago. The chrome had to be polished at least twice a month to keep it shiny. My bike usually looked like crap. Maybe a clear coat fixes that problem or maybe this has paint that looks like chrome and is not really chrome.
We’ll see how shiny it stays 😂
Wow new hairstyle!
nice bike.... watching from Oman
Thanks!
I found this bike next to the dumpster and it was basically brand new. Had to see what this bike was really about since I don’t know too much about bikes.
Stolen.
Nice looking bike. Looking forward to watch some Gravel videos. Are you planning to do some Bikepacking as well?
Thanks! Eventually yes I’ll do some bike packing
Just got mine on sale for $499!
but does it emanate The Spirit of Gravel(TM)?
Overall that is a good impression of the bike even for myself .weight of bike, the cassette mounts ,troi oi ,so massive like those shifters parts very good and upgradable is so desire later !though the bike is one to have for the price kind of maybe the higher payers of gravels in Michigan may have got more payer budget
to their wallets now that they know !!!!!paul
Em Thuong may be sending responses to bring it back to viet nam
We’re gonna keep it in the USA for now but we’ll have to get her a gravel bike too I’m sure 😊
My cousin's have a couple of these, they can totally hang, especially for the price
Yep, had no issues on some faster rides
Thanks for the video. How is the size for you. I'm almost 5'10" with a 33" inseam. Poseidon website says I should get an XXL !!! I think that would be too big, and am leaning towards an XL. But you got an L at 6'.... if you ordered it again, would you go bigger? Any thoughts welcome.
What size did you get? I’m also 5’10, can’t decide if I’m M or L
why no new posts?
Did you get culture shock going back home after a awhile?
That's a killer deal on a gravel bike. :)
Yes, I’ll make a video about that
I like your hair! Keep it growing. :)
The frame looks like a Ridley Kanzo A!
Another great bike, of which you will probably have to buy the ladies version for Thuong if she takes to gravel riding !
As for noise, give me the comforting sound of lawn mowing any time over the deadening traffic and those insane beeping motorbikes !
Definitely gonna need to get her a gravel bike too
In your opinion, why is the thru axle better than quick release?
Both are fine for most people, but thru is new standard
wow :)
You have not uploaded for quite awhile. Hope all is well.
Judt ordered one of these for $650!!
Rivendell are fantastic bikes made in USA bikes. Much better than all this carbon stuff - only my opinion though, before you get too excited!
What is the difference between the basic X and the X ambition?
Mostly stack height (and top tube slope, as a consequence). Ambition will have a more relaxed ride position.
How tall are you? Would you say the L is a good fit? I’m on the fence between M/L
I'm about 6', The L works good for me
Do you think a M or L would better suit someone 5’9.5” - 5’10” w shoes. 31.5ish inseam ? I’ve been so stuck on pulling the trigger on one of these and can’t decide which size 😅
The M frame has a 51cm seat tube and L has a 53cm , indicating the frame is smaller in “traditional” measurement of a bike frame.
Btw you did an awesome review of the bike!!
US vs Vietnam in women's world cup tomorrow
Have
you heard Mountainpeak brand?
Nope
dig your hair- give it some time and you`ll look like Laurent Fignon!
I raid gravel but I have never heard of the Poseidon...but it will be interesting to learn....they are pushing partly as a fad and because 1x does cost less. I run a wireless 2x and run it single track and never have had an issue because of the clutch. If you only run dirt roads and gravel roads...stick with 2x, you will be happy to always have the correct gear.
Yeah I prefer 2x
Looks very similar to Merida Cyclocross bike from 2018…
Chainring size? (tooth count)
Its a 38T
@@williampetty5488 Thank you. I got rid of the 3 chainrings on my 29er and installed a Deckas 38T. Perfect size.
Love your channel. But havent heard from both of you for a long time. Please let us know . Update us please. Hope everything is OK. Praying for both of your happiness
We’re both doing good and will post an update video soon
@@TwoWheelCruise great to hear from my wonderful two cyclistas!
State Bikes has through axle bikes for 899.
They're also heavy.
@@mrbubblebuns3994 They are not much heavier than the Posideon. Weight shouldn't be a significant purchasing factor for a sub-1k new bike, especially if you want a 'gravel' frame.
Too me a bike is a bike, they all ride pretty much the same…I have the GIANT ANYROAD TWO gravel bike, nice for Road and offroad. The wife didnt get a new bike?
Berapa harganya

Where are you guys?
super silver
Hopefully nothing bad has happened to the Cruise man.
His wife Thuong seems to be keeping her channel up to date. No mention of Cruise.
@@thomasday8155 Maybe he's just extending his U.S. vacation.
Thuong mentioned today that Cruise is very busy. He may be able to return to Vietnam by the end of the year.
@@thomasday8155 He likely found out that he needs to have a real J O B. LOL
After spending a few thousand euros, I'm still a fan of cheaper bikes. Not every day is race and performance day and not worth to wear the premium components on slow but long rides.
Agreed. Cheaper bikes can often be the better option
