  • Hi everyone! In this video I'll be showing you how I made these headbands for me and my sweet girl. In the video, I'll show you how to make the adult large, but this can easily be modified to fit any head size!
    INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIFFERENT SIZES:
    Large - Chain 56
    Med - Ch 54
    Sm - Ch 48
    Child - Ch 46
    Toddler - Ch 44
    Infant 6-12m - Ch 41
    Newborn - Ch 30
The end panels are worked the same as the adult:
-1 sc in each hdc, 2 sc in each cluster (bobble) across, ch1, turn.
-sc in each stitch across, ch1, turn.
-sc2tog (decrease) at the beginning and end of each row until 3 stitches remain.
-For the button panel, decrease until 7 stitches remain (5,3). Ch 3, skip 3, hdc into next stitch, ch 3, skip 3, sc into next stitch.
-Decrease one final row, ch 1 and fasten off.
Sc across each side panel, slip stitch into the next stitch, ch1, and fasten off.

Me tooo! I might give this a go today.. not sure I want the buttons tho (the only ones I have might not suit) so maybe I’ll just make it like a regular end. Hmmm!

I enjoyed this video. It was super easy to do and took not time at all. I think the longest part was getting my thicker yarn through my small tapestry needle to sew the buttons on lol.

Haha sewing in ends is always the most tedious! Glad you found it helpful!

Love this tutorial! Your instructions were very clear and you have a pleasant voice to listen to. :) I am currently making these for myself and my baby girl in a pretty garnet red. It was super easy to follow along even though I'm a fairly new crocheter. The scripture at the end was like a little icing on the cake... you just earned another subscriber!

Having a hard time once on my second row of puffs did you go to three crochet in one on the third row also and can you be more specific on wear you are inserting the turning row. It would help me so much. Thanks for your time and of course it’s beautiful 😍 making them for my grand daughters and myself thank you 🙏

For another headband I used I Love This Yarn brand from Hobby Lobby and it was. You can also (I discovered on 2nd and third attempts) pull all strands the same length at the end and crochet them together. That will give you more length. Maybe I will have to do an update video to show this technique.

Im confused when you do the first bobble stich you only have four loops on your hook is that beacuse the chain 3 counts as a stich

*you may see me comment this ALOT on videos so please don’t be mad, I’m just spreading news.*
*Fires have been raging here in Australia for months, and I think the knitting/crocheting communities should come together and make blankets and stuffed animals for the animals caught in the fires. You’ve probably seen on the news, but the least you can do is spread the word. We are burning alive here, and not many people seem to care.*
*You can go out and for a few dollars, buy a blanket or wild bird seed. You can knit/crochet something with that extra ball of yarn you have lying around that you don’t like the colour of, then send it to Australia Red Cross.*
*Don’t comment hate on this, I’m just spreading important news that will eventually effect everyone in the world, and I’m showing a few ways how you can help the side effects.*

I don't know if it was the yarn I used but mine turned out way too big. I had to sew the back to make it 5 inches smaller

    • @CrochetBeignet
      @CrochetBeignet  4 года назад

Aw I’m sorry. The yarn I used is a category 4, medium weight yarn (US terms)

It is because the added panels on both sides adds length. :) the 56 chain is for an adult.
