- Hey everyone! In this video, I'll be showing you how to crochet your own cozy legwarmers. This pattern is pretty easy, and also pretty repetitious, as you'll be repeating the same pattern for about 30 rows. So cozy up with a hot cup of something yummy and enjoy! ♥
♡ MATERIALS:
- yarn (medium weight - I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in tweed)
- 5.5 (or 6) mm crochet hook
- tapestry needle
- needle and thread
- scissors
♡ TERMINOLOGY (Americanized):
♥ slip knot - the first loop that forms the foundation for your work
♥ slip stitch - insert hook into stitch, YO and pull through. You will have 2 loops on hook. Pull first loop through second.
♥ chain (ch) - with a loop on your hook, yarn over (YO) and pull through a loop.
♥ double crochet (dc) - YO and insert hook into stitch, YO and pull through. You will have 3 loops on your hook. YO and pull through 2 loops, YO and pull through remaining 2 loops.
♥ front post double crochet (fpdc): YO and insert hook horizontally behind next double crochet, YO and pull through. You will have 3 loops on your hook. YO and pull through 2 loops, YO and pull through next 2 loops.

Great video! It's so easy to follow the steps. I'm going to try making these tonight. Can't wait to see more videos from you!
You did a really good job with explaining the steps. The result was beautiful. I love wearing leg warmers & I'm home on med leave so your "step by step" tutorial will be very helpful with making a few.
Thanks! They are SO cozy! Enjoy! ❤️❤️
Can you do some vintage hand warmers? Your a good teacher. Nice calm voice. Thanks working on a set of leg warmers. Im so cold i live in Montana....
I'm a figure skater, and the shins of my legs get quite chilly on the ice. Leg warmers are a staple item for me! This was suuper helpful to me, thanks so much!!
This video is so helpful to me just made one and loving it. On my second pair. Oh I have that color yarn lol.
Thank you I loved it you’re so good at it. I’m very delicate and I hate everyone else’s way lol I only like you! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
That thing you pulled with the elastic is excellent... Really nice pattern. Thanks
Thank you so much!
Excellent!!
Thank you so much for this easy-to-follow pattern! Just made mine and they turned out beautiful! Thanks again
Awesome! It looks more complicated (fancier) than it is haha
@@CrochetBeignet I'm tempted to make a grey pair next! ;) Once again thank you, and a happy new year to you!
P.S.: I also made the 5-strand braid hairband for my sister and that also turned out great! So straightforward and yet so fancy!!
What size is this for? Thanks! Great work!
I just subscribed. 💚 I've been crocheting here and there (only single crochet, scarves) for 19 years, and I decided to branch out and learn more. Your tutorial was incredibly descriptive, helpful and easy to follow. And you have such a sweet and pleasant spirit - thank you!
Question: would this pattern fit someone who has a medium build, medium height, with semi-muscular legs (...maybe size large in leggings and size 10 slacks/jeans)?
I want to make mine a bit smaller. Is there a certain number the chain needs to be multiples of? Like, does it need to be a multiple of 4 to make the same design?
About how long do these take to make?
Did you only use one skein of yarn for both leggings? If you did, how many grams/oz/yards was the skein? Thank you 😊
Kkkkkko
Hi! First of all, I love all your works and your channel! :)
I'm trying to made the Leg warmers and i stopped at the first step. How long is the elastic?
Thanks :*
Thank you so much! Just wrap it loosely around your ankle & that’s your size :)
SN: I bought legwarmers before & they kept slipping down my feet. The elastic is to keep them in place, just make sure to keep it on the looser side. When you add it to the yarn it shrinks up a bit.
How many skeins of yarn are needed to make this pair of leg warmers?
Could I add elastic to the top also? How would that work? And is the sizing adjustable? Like if I just chain more than 40 at the start, the circumference will just be bigger, right? :) I haven't crochetted in 20 years but I really love these and want to make them but I'm a little bigger of a lady than you are :D Great video!
I have the same question! I want to make these for my sister but she has thicker calves than the average woman. Crocheting is still fairly new to me so I'm not sure how to convert the pattern to make it bigger.
Did a really great job good for beginners to start, what nation are you from? 😀
‘Murica ;)
Why carnt they be made in the round ???
I accidentally started working into the inside of my work... whoopsie! Nothing a back post double crochet can't fix!
This is the first set of instructions I've seen that addresses the obvious... elastic.
Ive never tried crochet before but i REALLY want to make them. Do you Think a beginner like me could make them? :)
Absolutely! Go slow :)
I don’t have any elastic. Can make them without?
You can :) you can always add the elastic after too. Its just a nice touch.
@@CrochetBeignet would you still fold over and crochet first 2 rows together or skip that?
If you want to add elastic at any point, you can still do it. If not it’s fine also!
I had some leg-warmers I really liked but they kept slipping down my feet
What size yarn do you use?
Medium weight.
How long is the elastic piece?
Sorry for the delay! Just seeing this comment. The elastic should fit loosely around your ankle, but not enough to fall off.
thank you 😀
I’d love to see them when you’re done! 😊
I will post a pic...I'm just learning how to crochet so I'm struggling a lil right now 😎😎
Color contrast of the yarn & backpack... made it a little hard to see
