I think this feeding at room temperature or slightly warm thing is relatively new. I've been feeding my dogs and cats raw for over 15 years. It's usually served cold. Sometimes it's at room temperature. I really don't think it matters. Once it gets into the tummy, it hits body temperature pretty well.

There's nothing wrong with dogs eating frozen foods

It’s literally better for dogs to eat frozen, as not only does it prevent them from inhaling it, it also makes it so they chew well and they don’t choke. Room temp or thawed will allow them to quickly gulp it down, rather than taking their time to eat, making it so they don’t feel full. If it were frozen, then they would take their time and feel that their stomach is full and they don’t beg for more and get fat.
