What I also like to do with these is pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes before stuffing them to get rid of all the water. Take them out, sprinkle some salt and pepper inside for extra flavour, stuff them with the mixture and get them back in the oven. They turn out perfect this way!
This was so game changingly delicious! Thank you for this recipe. I used 4 oz feta instead of cream cheese, added 1/4 cup chopped sun dried tomatoes, and omitted the chopped stems. It was so good!! Pecans are the answer for us keto kids!
I've been making these all week long. First batch was a little salty for me so next batch I used salt free butter and did not add salt. Delicious! Next batch I added a little Hellmans mayo and some sautéed lump crabmeat ..Delicious again! I also took S. Silva"s suggestion to put the mushrooms in at 400 for 5 minutes to dry out the mushroom..Thanks Lisa!!!! I''ve recently limited my lectin intake and feel so much better in my gut....no more diarrhea! I don't usually cook much on weekdays after work but my bf suddenly asked me to cook in short notice. As he likes appetiser before main dish, I am so happy he loves this stuffed mushroom. I just followed your instruction plus the modification based from comment section, it is so surprising that he likes it because he's very picky eater which he only likes meat and nothing else. I like this one. I'm a recycled bachelor who sautees the mushroom caps before stuffing. I use Boursin, Alouette, or a similar cheese as the stuffing. After stuffing, I bake as you did.
Thank you, this is REALLY delish! The first time I had these a friend had made them, she used walnuts instead of pecans, and spinach instead of parsley, plus a bit of chives and a thai chili! Both versions are soooo good!

I like to toast the pecans after i've crushed them up. add some butter, throw in a pan, get them to roasted up a bit, wait for them to cool and then add to mix.

I like to saute the whole mushroom first to help draw some of the moisture out then stuff and bake. It really makes a difference in the texture of the finished product!!
I made it today. So good however I substituted the pecans for walnuts. I toasted the walnuts before putting it in the mixture. My new favorite recipe ❤️ thank you 🙏

Okay I've made these twice now the first time for Thanksgiving. They are amazing!!! Better than any I've ever had before in any restaurant! Wow! The only annoying thing is cleaning the mushrooms but that's not a fault of the recipe. It's just the nature of mushrooms

Try marinate mushrooms before baking, it is a game changer. I just add some soy sauce, vinegar, oil and spices to mushrooms for a couple of hours before baking or grilling and that makes them perfect even without stuffing. And for stuffing I use stems, apple, cilantro and cheese. Seeet and savoury:)

I make these with the chopped stems, red onions, garlic and crumbled bacon, and cheddar cheese. Pick it all in a ball add to the mushrooms. Bake. These were my grandma favorite! 🧀🥓🍅
