This was perfect ^_^ thank you very much for the tutorial. About the next thing to do or how to paint, how about H A N D S? I’m really curious in watching your technique! Thank you, sunshine! ☺️
yes! someone asked me about that yesterday? That's good seeing overlap in requests. I painted hands earlier this year and am working on another hand painting now. I should deconstruct it and make a tutorial for sure. Hands are rough!
I have always loved this series and I'm glad to see it back. There's something really organic and almost raw to your painting style that I really love and admire.
its so nice to see when you pick up a paint color and start building the paitings! it makes me understand more about your process and how I could learn from you, thanks for that!
Well young Lady you are a GEM! you continue to create vitally vibrant content no matter hat social media outlet your use! I believe you might tackle hands next for those inclined towards the body paintings, and why not some Seascapes for those of us still lamenting for the water paintings of old? Your so talented and I do mean your gifts allow you to concentrate and excel at instruction, I used to be good at teaching as well, I seem to lack the patience these days. Oh to ageing not as gracefully as we could wish to do so! I adore your offerings and wish to tell you that your appreciated. You are truly amazing. Thank You.
I watch your videos on and off for some time now and i just love your intros and your humour overall, thank you for that. And thank you for your great skill to teach.
This is super helpful!! Thank you! A few months ago I had to do a close up portrait for my painting project, and for some realize the lips just looked off and it was because I made them wayyy too pink, so seeing this helped me realize what other shades i should’ve incorporated. Also I missed your videos so much!^^~
its really comforting to see you use tracing transfers for your drawing section! i do this as i'm much more of a painter and dont particularly enjoy drawing even though i would be ble to get an accurate drawing if i worked on it for long enough, but it always makes me feel like a bit of a cheat (even though its really not cheating bc u still have to paint the entire thing) thankyou! xx
It looks a fun project to do as a display too. Maybe pick a feature of everyone who walks through my front door. As an aside, one of sisters is a professional mouth and foot painter, but in this instance it means she paints using only her mouth. The drug thalidomide caused her to be born with no arms or legs. Her animals paintings in particular are amazing.
perfectionists would like to discuss advanced mouth features in the future, maybe tutorial 2.0?: a) upper/bottom lip hard/soft edges, when?, b) lighter-color complexion bordering above the upper lip (depends on skin tone), c) how to get the mouth corners and adjacent mini wrinkles right, d) the dark shadowy part under the center of the bottom lip, e) bumps left&right off-center below the bottom lip (that's one thing which in my mind attracts people to paint billie eilish), also f) mouthline when mouth is closed (supercritical to get the facial expression). OR NOT! :-)
Love your water, oceans, waves, landscapes, Portraits, and awesome tutorials! Love hoodie and live animals popping in and out and you making the magic happen!!! I'd love to see paintings of people doing what they love most, like singing, repelling, hiking, children playing or just crazy memories where the painting tells a story, like the Mona Lisa, the chickens, or some wonderful adventure like painting in the mountains, wait, you've done all this, haha!!! love You !
I forgot that you had some tutorials on portraits! I'll have to keep that in mind as school begins, because I'm in a water-based media class and I've been really enjoying making portraits! (My current one, the first one I've ever really painted, is going okay, though I'm not as familiar with my medium, gouache. Didn't stop me from ordering a big palette of it though!) Also: Tuesday Best Day. *fingerguns*
@@RobinSealark A reply from one of my favorite artists?? Oh, goodness! I'm primarily into figurative work and characters, but I've also enjoyed portraiture, and am getting into landscapes more as well. I'm getting into the experimental process you were in a few years ago. Figuring out what I want to do with my art, where I want it to go...I imagine this coming year of university will tell me a lot about that. In the meantime though, I've been very thankful to have you and your videos as guides. So thank you, sincerely, for posting your methodology and thought process over all this time!
Maybe hands, facial structure, wrinkles, fixing mistakes (both acrylic and oils), painting moving objects, understanding light. I would love more videos like this is my conclusion.
I KNEW IT!! I saw your instagram story post on what tomorrow's video is gonna be about. I guessed it right. 😎😂hehheehheheehe. This is gonna help me ALOT. Thanks for making the video and helping me save my paintings for the future!
Do you paint plants very often? I love flowers and foliage, but it's so frustrating getting highlight and shadow right. It just looks like a bunch of green blobs lol
I haven’t painted in almost 6 months and seeing you post again has given me a lot of inspiration :) you were one of the first artists that helped me get into art and build my confidence so thank u for helping me again lol
You trace an image, cover the backside with charcoal or neupastel, then flip it drawing side up onto whatever surface you want to transfer onto, tape it down and retract over the lines. I’d check periodically to make sure it’s transferring ok. When you pull the trancing off, your lines should be transferred onto the new surface. Here is a link to a full tutorial I made: ruclips.net/video/jPUBIMeaS80/видео.html
I have problem with Drawing eyes. My one eye would be perfect and the other eye would be like if it's drunk 😂😂... Anyways this was awesome and It's definitely gonna help.....
I like your videos a lot Robin however A suggestion for future vids, especially tutorials: don't do multiple of them in one frame coz it's v v hard to follow
Thanks Prerna, thats helpful feedback. I've been trying it as a format and haven't gotten too much feedback. I think I've had some positive reviews, but that could have been on ones where I did a painting and talking side by side, rather than two arts. Thank you for feedback! This is definitely fast paced. I'm always curious on the balance of pacing for entertainment/education. If anyone else sees this comment, i'd love to hear your thoughts as well! xo
I don’t mind the split screen, since I’m also listening to the commentary. But if it’s bothering others maybe trying slowing the footage down a bit? Also Robin! If you see this, a quick video suggestion-anything having to do with sketchbooks would be cool. Maybe like a draw with me or just more sketchbook experiments?
I think that the fonts are always too exaggerated to understand the donts. You know a person that's gonna try something realistic is actually gonna try and not make a cartoon lip or nose, etc. :( I wish it was with more effort because beginner artist are always gonna try their best unless its a kid artist, but I guess this is not your targeted demographic
I have a question, who are you to tell people how they can or can't paint? There are no rules in art, I understand that you are not creative at all with your content so you're going back to what worked 6 years ago but still, you come off as very entitled.
Lips are the hardest thing for me, that's why I do this:
👁u👁
XDDDDDD it's PERFECT
Robin Sealark lol :D
noses are really hard for me
oh robin i missed you ❤️
Mm this is so happy ❤️ glad we back at it :)
I know the goal was realistic painting of lips, but I can't help loving the "don't" one xD
You can buy it for only $10 but you have to hurry before I turn it into a coaster.
Yeee it has this vintage comics vibe

Do’s and Dont’s hands ? Closed fist , palm Resting on face those variations?
is anyone else slightly cringing at how detailed you can see even the tastebuds on my tongue? XD that's a lot of robin honestly.

I’d love to see you tackle hand structure especially in those awkward poses that always end up looking like flippers or lumps
I love your sense of humour.
You should do some Do's and Dont's of painting Hands!
Plz can you do a tutorial on mixing paint
Cool! The silent movie piano paired with all these standalone mouths kinda freaked me out a little bit tho
I love your new intro :3

this has always been the most intimidating thing and watching this video i’m like hey maybe it’s not so scary and practicing will make me bEtter :0
I always avoid portraits, but maybe I'll risk after this!
Could I maybe swap a patreon donation for the non sped-up footage of you posing your mouth for those reference photos?
It's for animation practice.
