    Gena you do an amazing job! I wish I had found you 30 years ago 😩🤣🤣🤣🙏🏻 Thank you! I struggle whole life with my hair. Ended up always getting a Brazilian keratin.

    I splurged on a Denman brush (was able to order it for about 13 euros) and it was totally worth it! I feel like it makes my wavy hair so much prettier!

    Nice comparison !
    I have a question, if I may : I have fine thin 2c 3a hair, would it be best to remove some rows from the brush or to leave them all ? I don’t know what is best in terms of result/definition for my kind of hair, without tearing my hair apart…

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  9 месяцев назад +2

      Its hard to tell. I would try both and see what you like best. The more rows, the more tension and clumping if you style using techniques that clump. This could reduce volume. Taking out rows will cause there to be wider gaps between the bristles which will result in less tension.

    Great video! I thought you were being very kind to the Hask brand. For me, the Hask cream and gel products are some of the worst I've ever tried. I thought the gel was extremely light-weight and gave me almost no cast all, just lots of frizz. I know you're always looking for inexpensive alternatives and I recently discovered at Ulta Beauty that the Not Your Mother's Curl Talk line has come out with a custard. I paired it with the medium hold gel (which I never really liked before) and I loved that combo! I got a really good cast and great results. Together, they cost about $22. The custard costs a few dollars more than the gel, but it's a 12 oz jar, so you get a lot.

    Great video. I end up using my tangle teezer more often than my denmen brush. Sally’s Beauty also has a similar brush but for more than the Walmart brush. I am curious if you would compare the Ion Brush or the Pattern Brush if there would be a difference from the denmen brush. Have a great week.

      Hello! You wouldn't know the name of that Sally's Beauty dupe brush, would you? I saw one from the 'Ion' brand, but would love to know what it's called on the Sally store website.

    Hi Gena I have a question no matter the product or what I buy the last two to three inches of my hair always seems so frizzy even on the next day what should I be using have fine hair but curly frizzy hair natural

    • @Chimchiminychimchimcharoo
      @Chimchiminychimchimcharoo 5 месяцев назад

      This could be for a couple reasons. Hair at the ends tends to dry the quickest, so it’s important to make sure that it gets more moisture/product than the roots. It’s also possible that these last few inches are from split ends that need to be trimmed.

    I will definitely pick up the Kiss brush if I can find it here in Canada! Thank you for the comparison review, it’s appreciated☺️. I cannot use the product filter on your blog with my phone (I don’t have a desktop computer), am I doing something wrong?

    Hello Gena!! I am new to natural curly hair. And I’m learning to take care of it. I found your channel and love all your tips. You have helped me understand my hair - and your recommendations are spot on. Thank you for introducing me to Ouidad products. These work best for me. I wanted to msg you to ask something unrelated to this video and was not sure where to msg you. My question is regarding Castrol oil? Do u recommend using Castrol oil? And if so how wld be the best way to use it to help with hair health? Thank you in advance for your guidance on this. And thank you for everything you have taught me.

    Yep, these nylon brushes are all the same and give the same results so there is no need to spend so much on a branded Denman. I have been using a no-name nylon brush for years with excellent results. The one I have does not have the gripped handle like the kiss one you use here and looks exactly like the Denman handle, and this type is available everywhere for cheap.

    • @williamhowerton744

      Have only used hask spray leave in conditioner which my hair did not like, but my hair does not like sprays regardless of brand. It's way too thick for sprays. Denman brush, rips my hair out. I use only a wet brush for everything.
