    I’ll never get tired of these “how to fix this problem” videos because my hair is always inventing new ways to go wrong lol.
    I can’t seem to brush style after applying gel because I feel like it straightens out my hair. How come it works well when you do it but not for me 😭

    Omg 😆 I cannot believe I have a curl pattern like this!! You have changed my life! I watched your beginner tutorial. Ordered what I could within my budget & today I was finally ready & found this video first. I was cussing at my sectioning clips getting caught in my hair etc. (yes I need a full sectioning video 😅 I voted) Anyway even not doing everything perfect my curls have NEVER looked this good. I really hope RUclips is paying you well. Priceless advice✨

    I stopped dyeing/ coloring my hair at the end of 2017.
    My curl pattern has changed since then.
    My biggest issue is not enough hydration for my silver/white curls. (Tends to evaporate quickly)
    I seal with a gel & diffuse right after applying my hair products.
    Have you made a video addressing issues with gray/ white curly hair?
    Would be interesting.
    Love your videos. . .always learning new / better ways to work with my curls.
    THX!

    I just found your channel and have gone down a huge rabbit hole watching your videos. I started my curly hair journey of wearing my hair naturally in October 2022. After YEARS of straightening, bleach damage etc. I stopped bleaching my hair after my last bleach job in December 2019. I’ve bought a few products you recommended and love them already (the derma e scalp oil uh amazing). I also didn’t realize I was detangling improperly. I’d just go into a shower and detangle it wet, but I just started using an oil to dry detangle and already see a difference with the amount of hair that’s coming out. And I bought the curl smith hair dryer after your videos. Instant love on first use. Thank you for so many informational videos ❤️

    Thank you. I think my issue is drying technique and plopping because my curl clumps look good after styling but still get wonky curls and frizz. I'm going to try not plopping, limit scrunching, and go back to pixie diffusing. 😊

      Try micro plopping ❤

      @@Egag77 Thanks. I do microplop but still wonky. UGH. Pretty sure this os diffusing related aka user error. 😂

      @gimmetiger microplopping always gives me wonky curls! As well as scrunching with a diffusor. No escape 😂 only rewet wonkys after

    Thank you! I recently got a haircut for my 2c/3a curls and I have had issues with frizz, misshaped curls and no hold ever since. These problems are very out of the ordinary in my case. I have been following your advice for weeks… maybe my hair is just recovering from the weather fluctuations: extreme cold to extreme warmth in two weeks. 🤔

      I keep hearing about hair 'types', like 2a, 3c, etc,and have no clue what it means or if it's important to know. Can you explain, please?

    • @CJRaelion
      @CJRaelion 9 месяцев назад

      @@bigwoogc You can Google it, it's a chart basically and it's meant to help find a rough hair type so you have some orientation for how to style and care for it

    Thank you! Ive recently started to embrace my curls and all your videos have really helped!
    Every time ive noticed that the top of my curls are super curly, but the underneath layer is always only bit wavy. How do i fix this? Also sometimes when i diffuse the back is very flat but the front super curly.
    Please offer advice

    Does the kind of diffuser really matter or is the technique the only thing that matters?

    Been on a journey since right before Christmas 2023 to embrace my natural wavy/curly hair and I have never been more frustrated in my life. I know that is not a super long time, but man am I fatigued from trying this and that and not getting the results I anticipated hoping for. I guess it takes time, esp since I used to color my roots and am growing out highlights, but if I brush my hair at all when styling, my curls and waves look really stringy and thin and I lose a lot of the wave and curl pattern. Same if I diffuse. It stays that way until I wash it again. If I even pick apart my waves and curls, it’s like they lose the little bit of pattern they had before I messed with them. The “underneath” layer of my hair is definitely type 3 but the middle and top layers are barely a type 2. Trying to figure out the magical combination of products and technique. I probably need to back off on the moisturizer and maybe I need to use clarifying shampoo more often and focus more on protein products? I am hoping a “curly cut” tomorrow will help, but I am getting so frustrated. Hope I one day figure it out like you have.

    So, I have long, fine blonde 2b-3a hair. My fringe curls amazingly, the rest either loosely curls with lots of frizz and keeps changing direction of curl. And near my neck is not quite wavy, and tiny tangles are a problem! What is going on??

  • @InjectSomeCommonSense

    Anyone use the verb reset mask and have it feel amazing on until you rinse it out and your hair feels like straw? My hair usually loves protein so I'm not sure what's going on. For reference I normally use hask keratin protein deep conditioner and my hair loves it. Thanks

    Would cupping the hair as you do while hover diffusing be considered scrunching?
    Wondering because I might try a no scrunching routine 🤔 as you suggested

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  9 месяцев назад +2

      Sort of but it’s much more gentle since you’re not squeezing the hair. You could try it!

    my hairs curly and usually pretty uneven one side of my hair has great definition and curls perfectly fine and then the other side just kinda waves it doesn't take a spiral like the other side does, i really don't know what to do with this

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  8 месяцев назад

      This is common! If your hair is damaged then it will take time to full recover the curl pattern all over. If it's not damaged and it's just your natural curl, implementing the techniques I show in this video on the looser side can help.

    What speed and temperature setting do you have the hair dryer on when diffusing?

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  9 месяцев назад +1

      I mentioned it in the video 😊 I use the lowest speed and the highest heat. The Curlsmith dryer doesn't get too hot on the highest heat. I do alternate some with the medium heat especially on my ends
