The Bounce Curl Brush has been a game changer for me...and easy & quick to do!
I actually had a hard time with the denman so I quit trying to brush style. Then I got fomo and purchased the bounce curl brush and wow, it really helped with my definition and I don't even section!
Yeah the Denman is just trickier to use. So far I haven't loved my results with the Bounce Curl brush the couple of time I've tried it.
I’ve been loving the Bounce Curl Brush. I too, also have fine, low density, low porosity hair. I do wish they made it a bit thinner like the Denman brush.
I totally agree!
Thank you for this video!
I'm a Denman D3 fan and just got my Bounce Curl Define Brush delivered. 😊
It's so easy to use! Hopefully it gives you great results.
I use the Denman brush and I don’t twirl it around the handle. You have to use your other hand with the Denman to create tension. I get great results. Have not tried the bounce curl brush because they want $21 to ship to Canada.
I didn't like the clumps it gave me without the twirling. They were too straight. But yeah, international shipping rates are crazy!
Wow~ this video really helped me (decide) & I’m so glad I found your channel.
I am Puerto Rican/ mixed heritage; my hair is sO very similar to yours. So I find myself relating to everything you’re saying for the desired results/ hair goals. I have multi textural concerns, have suffered hair loss (from my past DivaCurl splurge/ serious misadventure, etc.). I also don’t wash it often, or like/ have time to spend on my hair either!
Thank you for being thorough as well, to show us the amount of hair Left On The Brush!! That’s after all a Main component to keeping up hair health!!
Was so surprised by the results too; I was just about to purchase the bounce curl- but see I need to try Denman 1st (or maybe.. ‘Also). *I definitely expected the opposite, regarding the TENSION. Wow; looks the reduced tension of Denman give the look of ‘more tension 🧐 Glad to see this anyway, you’re so appreciated 🙌🏽
Glad it helps! I was so surprised as well. I think the Bounce Curl is great because it's so easy but I have yet to get good results from using it. It always turns out frizzier when I use it. It may be that my hair is too soft? Not just that it's fine? Not sure yet but the Denman is better for me (even though I wont use it. I'd rather just style without a brush and save the 10 minutes 😂).
I have only watched the Denman side. And you said it was too time consuming. I agree with you when I was first starting. It would take me almost half an hour to do my entire head. But once I got into a rhythm I was done in under 10 minutes. I think it’s muscle memory.
This is a good point. And if I really wanted to focus on definition I would do it. But I just don't want to 😂 But yeah, should go quicker after some time for those who decide to brush style.
Same, after I got the hang of it I’m done really quickly!
My hair likes to make many small strands but I like the bigger ones giving me a more uniform look more, so I brush style 😁
The Bounce Curl brush works on my hair the best. I do still use the Denman in the shower to brush my conditioner through
I hate brush styling but if I do I just use my tangle teezer in the shower on soaking wet hair to get the most tension with the least amount of breakage and then scrunch in a mousse for extra hold after gel
I enjoyed your video. But, I don’t have the patience to brush style. I have a Denman brush and a Tangle Teaser, but I still use my wide toothed comb the most. I have fine, curly hair, also.
Yeah I totally understand and feel the same way! If I didn't create content, I would never even try it 😂
I tried brush styling a few times and got scalp pain so I stopped doing it. Maybe it works for others. I prefer Atoya Bass' flip coat scrunch technique
Same! If it's simple and works, why complicate things? I think brush styling is too much work for little payoff for my hair. But that's not the case for everyone.

Thank you for this video Delilah! I was the one who recently asked people in your FB group their thoughts on the 2 brushes. I know a lot of people with curly hair love the brush but I'm a Wavy. I have a mix of 2A-2B waves and am wondering if brush styling stretches out waves. I recently saw another Curly You Tuber say that brush styling stretches out waves but before that I saw someone demonstrate it on wavy hair and there were still defined waves. I have the Denman but am curious about the Bounce Curl brush but it's pricey. Any thoughts?
I'm not sold on it yet, but I'm going to keep trying and see if maybe I'm not using it the right way. I find my results always come out fluffier and frizzier when I use the Bounce Curl brush
I am a natural 2aish fine wavy and I got the denman brush. Since my hair is transitioning, it doesn't find it's way with the ribbon technique (brush with tension), so I use the handle technique. It's quite time consuming but I like my results a lot more, I get some 2b waves on day 1/2 and they slowly stretch out to 2a. I wouldn't say that brush styling can stretch out waves, I'd say it depends on the technique and how (which phase) your hair is. The bounce curl brush seems a bit more beginner friendly and faster to style but as of right now for my hair it wouldn't get the results I want I think, so I'm holding off for now.
@@benichii4354 Thank you for your reply and thoughts! I have the Denman brush and have tried the "ribbon technique" once; the results were okay - not much different than my usual scrunching in sections and I had less volume. I am planning to try the handle technique soon when I have some extra time. I'm probably going to hold off buying the Bounce Curl brush till I hear more.
