a thousand views and I still notice new things like when Gandalf introduced Shadowfax as the lord of all horses, Gimli bowed. So wholesome, and the trilogy always will be!
Actually seemed like Shadowfax first bows to Gandalf and then all of them bow to Shadowfax. The attention to detail is phenomenal, like in all great movies/art.
He threw him down and his enemy STRUCK the mountainside, therefore he SMOTE him against the mountainside. With respect you are mistaken to think your version bests that of Tolkien.
You’re all a bit off. The line is Tolkien’s but slightly altered from talking about where he smote the mountainside in his ruin to I smote his ruin, etc. The book phrasing made more sense in context, but that goes for the whole set of movies, they are best when closest to the book and tiresome when it’s stuff Peter Jackson changed for no reason (Aragorn rides a warg into a ravine, Faramir takes Frodo to Osgiliath, Eowyn and Faramir’s romance is removed, etc).
I remember waiting in long lines to see these movies at opening at midnight with my friends. Then walking out and everyone waiting in line at 3am asking how it was. We did this for all 3 movies.
Me too, I went alone because all of my friends who loved it had moved. So it was a spur of the moment decision. Lines were not too long but this became my favorite of the three
Despite his lack of presence in all of the movies you can see that Eru Illuvitar has an unseen divine plan that supports the people that fight against Morgoth and Sauron. ❤ 😇
"Aragorn, something's out there." "Alright, but why do you speak elvish?" "I don't want the dwarf to know." "Lol, why not?" "Idk, I just want to see what'll happen."
Apparently this is the scene in both the movie and the book that George R. R. Martin hated. He thinks Gandalf should have stayed dead. I guess this is why he kills his main characters on a regular basis.
@strategicsage7694 oh, i get that and he's often said how he didn't use the Christiam metaphor. And yet there's the ressurection - grey to white after death. Freudian slip perhaps.
The Rings of Power has some real strengths that set it apart from The Lord of the Rings, in my opinion. The massive budget delivers jaw-dropping visuals and some of the best world-building ever seen on screen. As a show, it has the time to really dive into Middle-earth’s lore and introduce fresh characters and stories, keeping things exciting and new. The casting feels inclusive and modern, and the pacing makes it easier for people who aren’t die-hard Tolkien fans to jump in. Honestly, a lot of LOTR fans seem scared of change-they’re clinging to the nostalgia of their childhood and hesitant to embrace something that evolves the world they love. The Rings of Power dares to push Middle-earth forward, and that’s what makes it so special.
Can you imagine how hard Aragorn and Legolas's horses are wigging out getting to run next to the literal horse Jesus.

now that you mention it, I just noticed the smoke curling up off of a burnt settlement in the background in the first shot of them riding for Edoras
I saw the cinema version, and didn't like it much. The extended version is fantastic.
Actually seemed like Shadowfax first bows to Gandalf and then all of them bow to Shadowfax. The attention to detail is phenomenal, like in all great movies/art.
I think all of them bow. The camera moves away from Aragorn, but we can for a split second see Legolas bowing too.
Love how there's a bit of extended version here at 2:44 to 2:57 especially saying *"I am Saruman, or rather Saruman as he should have been"*
Crazy how you can watch this movie a 100 times like I have and still notice new small details every time.
Did you know, when Aragorn kicks the helmet..
Exactly
„Until at last, I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountainside” - pure poetry
Easily one of my favorite lines.
Smote means struck. It would have been better to say "I smote my enemy and threw down his ruin on the mountainside." Nitpicking.
He threw him down and his enemy STRUCK the mountainside, therefore he SMOTE him against the mountainside.
With respect you are mistaken to think your version bests that of Tolkien.
It's an actual quote from the book.

Love the way his voice turns from Saruman into Gandalf before he reveals himself
Because it's the best ever casting for a movie top to bottom and you can't convince me otherwise
Gimli tasting the orc blood like he's Magnum P.I. at a drug bust testing coke
I do question how Gimli knew the difference between orc blood and other blood, admittedly...
“this new Gandalf is more grumpy than the old one.” lol
Gandalf
I heard that 😅
“Show yourself”
- “holy shit, its magneto”
😅😅
Yeah, they thought it was Count Dooku
"Holy shit, it's the grand buggerer!"
@@MariusFusariu if would have been if Saruman had shown up.
how tf did they make a line as cheesy as "Lord of all horses" sound so badass

Mithrandir, to kindle their hearts.

6:20 ❤❤❤❤that wistle, like dumbledore in order of the phoenix when he cast that water charm
Dumbledore doesn’t whistle 😂
Gandalf: Do as I say! Swords are no more use here! Also Gandalf: defeats balrog with a sword
Of all the fantastic elements here, demons and magic and elves... None of it was so hard to swallow as Gandalf riding several hundred miles bareback.
6:30 damn looks like Gandalf’s wearing some fancy ass white sneakers! 👟 👌🏼
😂
That's the level up gear when he went white wizard. He knows Minas Tirith is coming up and he needs some solid footwear for all those stairs.
I know this is a joke, but in case you're curious, they're actually leather boots haha
Good eye! 😂
i feel your pain Gandalf, many a times I've defeated a boss and cant loot him
They have feelings my friend ..legolas just throwing some bars.
This is from the extended version. Only the diehards can distinguish ❤️
I have never sullied myself with the theatrical cuts
Gandalf has become a White Lighter. Major initiation he qualified for and used his powers for good.
he basicly leveled up
Zactly
That's because he solo battled the Balrog and gained all that valuable XP
@@andyf1210 I'm pretty sure "this foe is beyond any of you" translates directly to "I want the solo xp, go away"
2:30 epic amazing unforgettable moment
Still watching😂. I reallly miss to watch this episode😁🤭
Dec. 14, 2024😊
Me too
Everybody a wizard anymore😂stealing my thunder "we post what we want"
4:45 great line
The single greatest reveal in cinema history!
Even the horse leveled up! 😂
I just want to know what happened to the Balrog's fuzzy slippers (any fellow survivors of the 1978 Ralph Bakshi version out there?)
I wish they included the extra scenes in the theatrical release. Adds more personality to the movies
What a beautiful horse
And the people complain about running out of toilet paper and black outs, look at this dudes without any of those luxuries
"how much xp was it?"
what?
"what?"
Gandalf took the exp from balrog all by himself and upped his class to Gandalf the white
Tasting blood to know the race...
Seems like a superpower the police would love!
They would just say it’s black
Is this from the extended version? Some of the dialogues seem newer
Yes
man...this is what really should've happened if saruman take on the fellowship by himself...too bad he is too lazy
Where did Gandalf get the grey cloak and Leaf of Lorien from?
He went Lorien just after being resurrected.
Gandalf took all the loot
Is there any part of this trilogy that is great?!? I don’t think so!!! 20+ years and it is still the best movie series ever!!
6:30 is he wearing chucks?
Ahhh it's our buddy dj white wizard
Gimli got his axe throw off before Legolas could fire an already knocked arrow. Gimli is b’dass.
Upgrade. Nice.

Maybe if he didn't kill off so many of his characters he would have figured out how to end his books
@@brennenpoffenroth4196😂😂😂😂😂😂

best movie ever!

Is that a " real" horse ..., or an A.I. horse ? Hmmm ,no foolin,
When the amps go to war they talk about how they don't know where the females are boo
TocH Cad Prefers Serum~ MP Torches Resurfaced
Imagine if they succeded in killing Gandalf😅
Hadn't thought of that. That's funny!
Gandalf will be revived as Sauron instead of white, in next time lmao

how is this not the ressurection of Christ?
There is no 'Christ' in the Lord of the Rings, and the Maiar are not deities. They are immortal created beings.

I can’t understand how anyone who read and loved the books could stomach this butchering of the works of Tolkien.
