- The HyPer 9 is a 3 Phase AC, Synchronous Reluctance Internal Permanent Magnet (SRIPM) Motor, and it is powered/ Controlled by the SME Synchronous X1 Inverter.
The controller is a self-contained unit perfect for all conversion be it DIY or EV conversion shops. With it integrated software set up of the system to your specifications is very easy.
The NetGain HyPer 9 is the ideal power-train for any light to mid-weight Vehicles. You can combine multiple systems for heavy-weight and racing vehicles by linking one motor onto the other but this is a special order product.
Its Synchronous Reluctance Internal Permanent Magnet (SRIPM) platform delivers outstanding torque and efficiency, generating higher power per kg.

I don't see a lot of people converting any FWD automatic transaxles with kits like this plus reducer plus differential. It doesn't look like it's a big thing but it *could* be because of possible huge volume of conversion candidates. (Marketing: "Has your beloved *!!ubiquitous!!* FWD automatic transmission car's engine up and died? CONVERT IT!!!!")
But I don't see it happening. Yet. Right now the easiest way I can think of doing it is getting an old (dead or mostly dead) LEAF and swapping the integrated ICE (crankcase-transaxle) stack with the integrated EV (inverter-controller-motor-reducer-differential ("e-transaxle"?)) stack. If someone offered such a "FWD EV stack" I'd be very interested in it more than a used/wrecked OEM EV stack because of the modernity (efficiency and small packaging) of the motor+controller and the way it would be supported and oriented for universal-as-possible swapping.

No as it will generate so needs to be powered up. You can two at very low speeds but have to be careful

@@FelltenSystems you say EV is dearer but a Tesla model s motor cost about the same as a k20 engine from a Honda type r! Then a turbo kit and loads of custom modification so I’d think bhp to £ would be about the same at the end.

Can i ask what does Drive Out2 open/short blocking error means i linked the driver out (pin26) to the contactor and driver out 2 is pin 27 i have only one wire for the driver out.
It means open or short, as you only have pin 26 which is output 1 for the contactor you will need the core t clone file from the netgain website.

Would this be good for a 2 ton vehicle? My first phase would be around 1.5tons to start, but later to 2 tons with my ideal range (150-200miles). My 86' Toyota van has very similar HP specs and this motor has much better torque figures. Thanks.

You need to decide on your performance and range requirements. Then it’s easier to select a drive system
@@FelltenSystems Engine performance is volkswagen ID4 power and 400-500 KM range is ideal for me. I'm not involved in offroad and adrenaline sports, it's enough for me if I can travel with my G Class car without getting stuck in urban emission rules. thank you for your interest
That’s a lot of range for a conversion given that the G is not very aerodynamic. Perfect is not a problem but range will be. With a 100kWh pack you would get about 200miles tops.
Question ❓: what size of a car 🚗 or pickup 🛻 can the motor shown here be installed in? Would it work for a practical 5.3litre V8 replacement in a vehicle that weighs approximately 6000 pounds (2721.554 Kilograms) 🤔?
Additional question ❓: could a small single cylinder diesel generator - like a Yanmar or similar - power the electric motor in place of a conventional battery 🔋🤔?
We do not run in vehicles over 1500kg ideally not over 1200kg. Would recommend going with a more powerful hv solution.

How much it cost for EV engine?
About $430 - $4800. Be sure to get wiring harnesses kit (along with serial to USB adapters and motor plug assembly.) Try to buy controller already installed on a plate with chill plate installed, and find out what size fittings for coolant go to chill plate (I think they are 8 AN)
