would love to get your take on James Annabel Square layers. A shag that leaves corners in the front. What type of layers do you call that? he refers to them as square layers.

I'm curious to know if this haircut goes well with thick hair, Just a beginner in learning new haircuts.
Yes it does Emily, thanks for the question. When dealing w/thicker hair you well most likely have to remove the bulk from the top portion to get it to lay smoothe or more seamless. If I was going to do this I would do this after I dry/smooth out the persons hair. It's easier to see where you need to detail the layers/haircut etc. Good luck

Now does it have to be one or the other? In other words you said cutting the angles with the bangs longer and the back shorter or the back longer and the front shorter as in the shag look. Does it have to be that way?? I need to see 😆 Therefore I definitely like my bangs cut somewhere near the temple to the other temple being and just below my eyebrows. But I do also like to have it shorter at the crown. It may just be the way I see it but it looks a little denser and since I'm rapidly approaching 56 I've lost a lot, and I do mean a lot of my hair. So now that I've just completely winded myself writing the equivalent of War and Peace, my original question still hangs there 😘

He parted the hair closer to the temples, pulling the upper hair up together with the guide; and cut that like he did everything else. I don't think he did cutting after that. 🤷🏻♀️

and why not give it layers through the top and sides withOUT removing so much length? It would need to be disconnected but it keeps the lenght. It's hard, close to impossible as the weight on bottom goes away once you layer the top and sides YET one could over direct and/or disconnect, right?

Yes it is A Woman's Intuition. Instead of cutting the layers with a point cut, cut the line with a straight clean line. Also cut the bottom line straight to create a strong structure.

Help! I have an undercut that does goes up to my temples, and long hair on top. I have zero idea what to do with my hair in terms of styling and cutting, with my high undercut. Can I do 70’s hair? Can I do a shag with curtain bangs? By the way my DP is old
I think you would have to grow out the undercut, otherwise you will end up with a pixie.
I am 70 and have this cut . It looks fabulous. Also my hair is silver grey so it gives it some definition and movement. Although I have the top cut a little bit more shorter it still is a fantastic cut….hope this help
