Joi de Vivre and how to communicate your enjoyment and love to the rest of us! Pity, Monty chose not to indulge us longer. The simplicity encapsulates the spirit of jazz!
Monty Alexander is smoking as always. I hope he gets to read this comment, the last time I saw you I was with my musical father, "Walter Bishop Jr" at the Blue Note, New York, you came in and did a solo gig right after Bish did his solo set. You are one of the few of a dying breed of old school cats that played with fire and brimstone, Brothers like you, Gene Harris Horace Silver, Oscar Peterson,Walter Bishop and the list goes on. I'm sure you don't remember that day but I just thought I'd tell you about it. You have always been a great inspirational old school player that plays straight from the heart, with fire in brimstone's. Anyway I hope that you are doing well these days during this epidemic, may God bless you, live long and continue to prosper.
Concert génial! dommage que les conditions d'écoutes et visuels ne sont pas au même niveau qu'à Vienne! Les organisateurs devraient s’inspirer de l’héritage des romains ....
Jeff Hamilton, what a fantastic right handed jazz drummer and still with such brilliant control of speed and perfect timing with his left hand.
Clayton and Hamilton are joined at the soul. Fantastic!
No disrespect to Monty Alexander intended. This is the perfect trio!
Monty Alexander, John Clayton and Jeff Hamilton, superb trio!
I love the way he teases us with his introductions. Truly one of the most engaging performers around today.
I played for over a decade with Jeff Hamilton's mentor, the late great John "Baron" Von Ohlen. Jeff got VO's thing and more. Just beautiful.
monty has been one of the BEST pianists of this century and still is.long may it continue.many thanks
