I've been playing my Ec-10 for two years now. I paired it with a DW cajon pedal, and a hi-hat. Sweetwater Music has been very helpful. I'm fortunate to live only 20 minutes from them. I'm very satisfied with this drum. Shine on...

Wow, I envy you! Living so close to Sweetwater. But then, I live in the Phoenix area and save a ton of money because I don't have the most awesome musician's candy store I can walk through every day.

Just wondering why Roland didn't opt for an XLR / balanced out on this for the connection to the PA?
The sensitivity control, the ability to connect it to the PA without a mic, and ability to add some depth to the tones are the primary benefits for our use.

Sounds good through the PA cab. Why didn't Roland add a bass drum pedal option? Seems like a missed opportunity for such an inventive product.

Another quality video from my favorite music store! Sweetwater Sound sells the best equipment, has awesome resources, and has the best [experienced] sales engineers; does not cost any more than other outlets and you get so much more with their highly personal service - even after the sale!

Would be cool if you could upload more sounds to it. Seems too limited.

Nick - you should demo one of the Bodhran's that you sell...especially with St Patty's day coming upon us ;-)

I think the electronic sounds are very limited cus there are only two sensors , so that means we get only 2 sounds per kit.

Thanks for the great description video.
Does the acoustic sound work without batteries?

Hey, Farid! Thanks for your interest - the EC-10 works great as an acoustic cajon when not using the electronic features. The electronic sounds and amplifier are just meant to be supplementary. I hope this helps!

Sweet, like it. Ironic that when you sit on it you rest your cajones on the Cajon.

I prefer the organic and simple sounds you get from a regular cajon.
If the point of a cajon is simplicity isn't this kind of negating that point?

If I bought 2 of them would that mean I'd have a pair of Cajones?

They should have put some acoustic drumset sounds on it.

if you turn the electronic sounds off, will the cajon still give out the sounds through the speakers or the output?

Well, it is a Roland, which was the big electronic drum machine company of the '80s. There should be no surprise that is kinda sounds like a TR-808.

Why the hell cant you control the volume from the cajon out put wtf Waist of money for looping, shouldn’t have to run it to a mixer to control the volume . Only one volume level to the loop pedal full blast wtf smfh pissed

I like the sounds this makes, why didn’t they just make a pad with two triggers that you can play upright, not all hunched over like Quasimodo?Cajon= most uncomfortable rhythm instrument . This proves Even cajon players wanna sound like a drumset. Such a stupid TREND.
