Compact and battery powered, the EC-10M picks up the cajon’s acoustic sound with the included clip-on condenser mic, which is also used to trigger a variety of onboard tones for layering with the acoustic voice. You can then send both sounds to an amp or PA, giving you complete control over your stage sound. It would be nice to put in the description also what Cajon you're using :) No one puts it. Just to have a rough idea of the original and with the EC-10m.

Nice idea. Shame about the snare sounds. Also this isn't a looper: Only the sample sound loops. Loop implies you record the sound of the cajon, which doesn't seem to happen.

Would this work at all with the Mienl Jumbo where the sound port is in an entirely different location?

The frequency detection is a great idea but should have overdub rather than auditioning the sounds based on a loop. That way you could layer up all the sounds available on the unit to make fully fledged kits. Massive oversight roland. I'll stick to my boss rc10r and audix adx60 mic thanks, i already have those and a plethora of percussion instruments, so why bother. I can overdub and have two variations and th adx60 i use for all kinds of micing jobs ... my advice spend a bit more and have ideal setup, esp if youre a solo one man band loop artist. And god those snares were awful!
