    I own this product too. It honestly needs a hardware equalizer and compressor when recording or playing live especially on the rock drums. I wish we were allowed to swamp sounds in and out of the pads. Now I am sure someone will be able to hack the actual sound module to replace the sounds. Also it’s price is now $329

    This thing absolutely should have (and imho must have) some kind of MIDI out. It's meant to be a professional instrument and this feature is a must. The built in samples are not bad, but they have the musicality of a very cheap electric drum kit: if you hit it hard or soft, it plays the same sample but with different volume levels. Good electric drums respond similarly to acoustic drums and not only vary in volume but the actual sound changes. This makes it sound more natural and less digital, this electric cajon sounds very digital. As a practice tool it's way too expensive and for professional use the sounds are too limited in quality and can't be changed because there's no midi out.

    • @CajonMaster
      @CajonMaster  9 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your input on it. I agree with you it's more for practice, and it can be pricy for that. It would be better to find a way to integrate some acoustics in it. I will give your feedback to Meinl ;) thanks

    They could have at least added some round robins and velocity layers... Only one sample for every single instrument is insanely outdated and behind the times. You could literally just be looking at nine samples per note and the sound quality would be 100x better. That would barely take any extra time to do. And with no midi out either? This could actually be interesting for music production or electronic live performances, but that's not possible when you're stuck with the bad internal sounds.

      Btw: not an endorsee in any way.

    Bien , para ser honestos y como percusionistas profesionales, este cajón es como para niños de 8-10 años.
    Un banco de sonidos electrónicos muy básico y malos, sabes bien que eso no lo usaría un profesional 😓, pero bueno , entiendo los motivos que te orillan a dar la muestra de este cajón digital.

    Why on earth would you need/want a completely digital cajon? I can see incorporating a couple velocity sensitive trigger pads on the sides near the top for uploadable accessory sounds on an otherwise acoustic cajon (hint, hint) but, ALL digital? On top of that, why didn't they at least put an additional trigger pad where a cajon pedal would hit? Fyi, you can practice silently on your lap and it translates just fine to a cajon. This thing is really poorly thought out but, I'm sure people will buy it.

      Roland makes an eCajon which is acoustic/digital.

    • @jerrywalker6043
      @jerrywalker6043 3 года назад

      @@driftinHank29 True, but the Roland doesn't do either very well. DG De Gregorio made the Centaur Electronic/Acoustic Cajon for a little while a few years ago (it's no longer available). It on the other hand has a really nice and very responsive acoustic sound and mics up beautifully. it has three trigger pads on the right side, a foot switch to cycle through 30 preset "kits" and an sd card slot for user uploadable sounds. The electronic portion wasn't perfect but it was definitely usable and a huge step in the right direction. I have a friend that plays one. He got it super cheap from a guy who bought it but never used it. I've been trying to buy it from him since the first day I played it since he never uses the triggers (for some reason). It really does sound nice acoustically. Anyway, my point was that this style of cajon can be built and they can perform both tasks well. It's just a matter of execution. Someday, someone will build a good one and when they do, I'll buy it.

    This electric cajon could be very useful, but unfortunately it is not. It would be perfect if you could program the pads with sounds, for example a tom sound on the top pad in the middle. Also to adjust each pad in volume would make this box more useful for professional use. These 10 pre configured settings in my opinion are more or less just gimmicks.

I tested it and the music store also said, so complete rubbish and a toy, a joke... as a drummer I agree..
