- If your refrigerator door opens too far / too wide, you probably have a broken door stop bracket. Even though you have to take off the door to replace the bracket on this particular model refrigerator, it is pretty simple, easy, fast and inexpensive.
The newer design stop bracket looks like it has been modified and improved compared to the original stop bracket.
Hint: if you are trying to look at the bottom of your refrigerator door, use your smart phone or tablet camera. Slide it under the door and view or take a pic. It works great to see the underside of the door!

I wouldn’t bother for new replacement part,make your own one or get an ‘L’ shape bracket which will be thicker & stronger steel!
Front of fridge is best set to abit higher than the back so doors close & stay closed😉

@@Sally-jc9mm I am with you, Sally!!! I sent numerous messages to Whirpool on @Twitter and called them too many times as well ..
It just does not makes any sense as to why they couldn't put a $2.00 part on the fridge or at least design one for us to buy!!! ..
I am not done with contacting them ..
@@Sally-jc9mm ... The last advice that @whirpool gave me was to contact @Lowes (and ask for an exchange or a refund) ... I told them that Lowe's has done nothing wrong, why should they have to take the default position and be inconvenienced for a cheap part that you/@Whirpool can remedy ...

I didn't even know there was such a thing. I am so glad this guy helped us understand how to fix it. Too all those complaining they're dizzy from watching, they should make a better video. Appreciate he made a solution available.

This idea will not apply to all whirpool refrigerators, I would bet. I would never buy whirlpool again. Lowes wouldn't even help. I had to tape some paking pillows on door during Christmas cause relatives would not stop the door from banging into pantry door.
