How to Adjust Refrigerator Doors so they Close Properly

- In this video I show you how to adjust the level of the refrigerator properly so the doors swing closed on their own. If the refrigerator is not correctly leveled you could also run into other issues like ice on the bottom of the freezer.
This will work on all top freezer refrigerators by any manufacturer. The fridge in this video is a Frigidaire top freezer. Maytag, GE, Whirlpool and Samsung should have a very similar process of leveling.

Thanks! Quick fix for me--65 year old female. The maintenance guy said the doors not closing is because the refrigerator is new and he can't do anything. I knew better. Your video did the trick!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We got our new fridge two years ago, and the doors never closed on their own. Finally we got it fixed in just a few minutes!!! I was so tired of the constant fingerprints on the shiny silver finish from having to close the doors by hand.

brought home our new fridge and it had a mean frontwards lean.my wife was ready to jam cardboard under the fridge to get it level.thanks for showing us the right way to do it

I still haven't straightened the door on my fridge yet (I got burned trying to clear a clogged sink - don't ask - so my daughter said I'm not allowed to do any home improvement until the burns are healed ;) ), but I will get to it, and now I can level it at the same time. Is it the same kind of thing to level a new Whirlpool stove and a semi-ancient Roper washing machine?

Once you do this though then you can't roll the frigerator out. It's not on the rollers anymore. I'm having a huge issue with my refrigerator not closing. This morning I woke up to find that my refrigerator had been open all night a crack. I accidentally did not close it hard enough, or check it to see if it was closed properly like I usually do, so it did not adhere tightly. Even when I did what you suggested I still wasn't getting a tight closure. The seal all around the refrigerator has been replaced so that is not the issue.

So my fridge door swings closed but the freezer does doesn’t (same fridge as in your video). If I adjust the feet to make the freezer door close then the fridge door closes aggressively hard and fast. Any thoughts how to adjust one of the two doors? Or is the freezer door not supposed to close on its own?
Cool ! close well now. But now, the lower door (freezer) is opening when the upper one is closing lol...lol.... is there another ajustment i have to do ???
Is it bad if the fridge is tilting to far back? I have a really old kelvinator opal and the legs push down but I can't get them to lock in or find anything on RUclips to help explain how to lock them in. So I have wood blocks but I feel it's tilted back too much
i HAVE AN UPRIGHT Frigidaire FFFU14F2QW , THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR IS NOT CLOSING, ice is forming inside the freezer and gives me a "door ajar" beeping when it gets too bad, how could this be fixed? I followed all your instructions as far as leveling.
on washer machine. the front loader style. when the soap Siphon cap only drains half way and stops ??? but i cleaned it really good it works sometimes and not other times why is it doing this ?????
I have a question... both doors of freezer n freezer are rubbing each other, so when I open one door the other opens, what can I do?
I don’t want the doors to close on themselves. I want the doors to stay put/ stand still when opened, no matter the angle they’re opened at. Any tips?
