This is a quick video about how to repair the bottom door of my John Lewis JLSS2009 Fridge Freezer, where the bottom hole has broken off the bottom of the door. I used a 90 degree bracket from Ikea which is normally used to secure Malms or chests of drawers against the wall. Hopefully this fix I filmed will help others temporarily repair the hinge holes of their doors as they are basically impossible to repair otherwise. Hopefully we will get a new fridge freezer soon once we move house.

Thank God for your video. I've tried so hard to figure out wth was wrong with my fridge door and this is it. my break wasn't as substantial as yours so it wasnt as obvious. A new fridge door is the the only repair man recommended solution, so thanks!

My fridge just had similar issues yours is the bottom..in mine it happened to the top..I don’t know how to go about it..could you help out
Does the freezer start dripping because of this?
Your plastic part is damaged and seems my door hole has kind of lost its edges a little
Seems my hitachi 2door(freezer on top) lower large door of main part of fridge the hole where the pivot goes in has become a little grazed at the edge or seems to have lost its perfect roundness.
I hope i got through with what im trying to tell u .
Hitachi techs say door may have to be replaced.

Can you make a video on how to resume playbacks where we left in QuickTime Player on Mac? After we quit it and reopen the player, the video starts again from the "start" of it.
This is my EXACT frig issue...and I LOVE my 24" Summit CP 171 frig. The Danish style is discontinued..and I still LOVE it. It's white, stylish looking, and counterdepth and only 24" wide...about 79 inches tall. Was thinking of trying to buy a new door in same model..and spray paint it white, but if I could simply repair the hinge--that would be great. Problem: I do not even know how to remove the door!!! It cannot be that hard!
