So sorry about that final lap spin but I get it completely. My nerves just skyrocket on the last lap. What works for me is practicing breathing more calmly and intentionally relaxing my arms and shoulders throughout the last lap
Damn, that's actually an awesome tip mate. Yeah, they were catching me fast, I was never the fastest in the race, and it happened early, like lap 2, so then the nerves just built and built for 8 laps!
100% don't rush the process. enjoy the racing, have fun and you'll build on your experience in the sim. as a novice the best thing you can do is keep on racing :)
So, close to the win, that corner is such a nightmare. The spin was heartbreaking. Keep at it, the speed you're carrying now is great to see, massive improvement from week one. Community race was an absolute hoot, get involved if you're not already.
The nerves will go away with experience. The more you race the more comfortable you will become. Concentrate less on your mirrors and what might happen and concentrate more on what is in front of you. If you're looking in your mirrors all the time you will be slower and will allow the car behind to catch you and you will be more prone to making mistakes. Don't completely ignore your mirrors but worry less about them, it is the car behinds responsibility to get passed safely.
I think you will find that most people watching this are here for the journey. Just here to watch and enjoy. When i watched your first podium from last week i was cheering i think my words were "YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING BEAUTY. LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Ah mate, that is genuinely so nice to hear. So much work goes into it and when I read stuff like that it literally makes it all worth it. Appreciate you mate.
I did the same thing at that last chicane at Lime Rock on the last lap Not sure why, probably because I rolled on the gas and my steering wheel wasn't straight 😅 Remember a tire can only do 100% of one thing
@SimRacingKez hard to tell on your vid when it's speeded up, but from what I can tell as your car goes into understeer at times you seem to turn the wheel more as opposed to lifting off the throttle Try that next time it goes into understeer
@SimRacingKez watch a few of MAX'S racing He hardly turns the wheel, as the good racers help rotate the car by throttle or brake input The Miata rotates nicely with light throttle lift, the BMW M2 not so much Remember smooth if fast and look way down the track as much as possible
Don't ever call yourself a loser 😀💪 that hurts the body and mind. And don't back down at the 5k. A promise is a promise, be ambitious eyes on the target, enjoy the process, and be patient
Cheers Steven, really appreciate that, I think self deprecation is my humour, I find it easier to chat rubbish about myself and big other people 😂 Thanks man, inspiring words, just what I needed to power through learning yet another new track 😂

If you race a certain sports car seriesd at a certain time let us know would be nice to race with people. Just found the channel but if you don't already the production car challenge is great fun for a little multiclass in D class where we are
Thank you mate, that's why I started it really, because I couldn't find any that were genuine, total noobs, lol! Glad you are enjoying it mate and thanks for the tips!
Great vid as always mate! Gutted you lost it on second to last corner! Cant believe i lost it on last lap of community race either. Terry IS the man to beat!
Amazing job man, the hardest thing to do is hold the wheel in the lead. Also, Irating is heavily affected by others but its good to have a challenging goal.
@SimRacingKez yeah, I just bought a house and moved in, and gave away my rig with the g29 to a friend so he can play to. I should receive my new big baby February 1st. Will join when set-up;-)
Good work! been looking for this kind of videos for a long time. someone that can find fun and speed while not having the top of the line sim racing equipment.
Love the weekly catch up with you keri.. Always puts a smile on my face as non iracer I live every corner with you and that mistake from first position I was certain it was yours!!! its coming!!!. Unlucky with the 2nd to last corner spin. It’s easy done because you tighten up your muscles due to nerves. It just shows you that you can pick up that elusive first win. Been racing 18 months and I think I have only had 4 wins! I am happy if I get positive safety and I rating in a race to be honest. I want to try and get to 3k this year and just in the process of purchasing a triple monitor setup in the hope this helps.
Mate i remember the first time i qualified p1 on the starting grid,i swear to god my heart was pumping out my chest😂ended up crashing lap 1 with nerves
Really enjoyed this video! Your making great improvements Even I was nervous for you when you were in 1st!! That win will come soon I’m sure Keep enjoying it !!! All the best for this weeks racing
I'd reccomend giving the m2's a try at some point, from my experience they are a lot easier to control which means your less likely to completely spin and I also think it's easier to survive the entire race because everyone else crashes less.

You seem to put the practise in and i think this will be the biggest boost to your Irating. But first defiantly enjoyment comes 1st. Just remember when your in 1st all you can do is what you have been doing don't worry about others. The win will come in time, best of luck in the next ones

Excited to wake up early again this Saturday! I thought the replay cameras at Navarra were too wide angle so I zoomed them in. You can do that if you press ctrl + F12 in the replay and you will see a zoom slider among other things. Looks like you got Trading Paints working! And wow it works for the replay even if you didn't have it for the race! Great job on the double silvers too!
That 'joker' shown/mentioned did actions against the iracing sporting code, which is subject to reporting. Still great to see continuous improvements. I think aiming for 1200 to 1500 then 2k iracing are great milestones to hit. If I recall 2k is within the top 10%. Better to enjoy the improvements and racing instead of worrying about rating (can be a spiral of frustration and playing the numbers game instead).

Hi buddy, really appreciate that! I'm not streaming yet but that may be something I do in the future, once I get my nerves sorted, haha! It's bad enough when no-one is watching!
This is very interesting. A new channel, a new driver on the service, but with a channel production on a really up there in the high level (all camera work, narrative, edits), timestamps, descriptions, prize giveaways. I wonder what is your background? My guess would be some sort of IT job? I am going to follow your progress for sure :) 5000 iRating is not easy. I would even say it's hard. I am a 3300 myself, but only got there recently because I found what I love most (Audi GTO racing). Going to 5k to me would require a lot P8 and up the grid races in current series (IMSA Vintage). With your target being so high, I think at some point you will need some coaching to help and remove bad habbits in driving (which you will pickup during your driver career).
The positive comments really mean a lot mate! I'm actually a photographer in my day job so I have a couple of decent cameras, although editing videos, especially for RUclips is brand new to me. You're right about the target, it's massive! But I do like crazy goals, lol, good shout about the coaching! Thank you for the follow mate!
