- Millions of people saw a job posting by a Boston agency for a "director of operations" position, but only 24 people applied.
In today's tough job market, why did so few people show an interest? It could be because of the requirements of the job.
The website rehtom.net posted the job and paid for ads, hoping to get the right applicant. So what is required from the right applicant? Here's a partial list:
* Must be able to work 135 or more hours a week
* Ability to work overnights
* Willingness to forgo breaks
* Work mostly standing up and/or bending
* Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
* Crisis management skills a must
* Ability to manage a minimum of 10-15 projects at one time
* Ability to coordinate multiple, often conflicting, schedules
* Ability to work with associates with minimal ability
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in negotiating, counseling and culinary arts
* Understanding of finance
* Understanding of medicine
* Positive disposition at all times

That made me cry coz I knew who they were talking about. I'm always awake, even when I'm sleeping, just incase I'm needed
There's days when I complain that I'm tired and can't go to work the next day but then I remember how my mom raised 5 kids on her.
I can't give up that easily and knowing what she did for us it give me strength to keep working hard everyday.

My beautiful Mom raised 7 of us in South America in poor conditions and gave birth to all of us at home with all the discomforts, every time I think about it hurts. I am a guy and had 2 kids with my better half and she did not want to raise them, so I did the unthinkable and I raise them, yes the hardest job 24/7/365 for 18 years and I am exhausted! but will not trade those years and have more respect for women who it!

Until 2:53, I was wondering how can a job like this even exist. Then we revealed the answer, my eyes got teary. I called my mom to thank her everything she did for me.
My mom is amazing she was a single mom of 3. She would still do anything for her kids. Now that I am a mom myself I understand why she work her butt off. It's all about my kid's happiness and trying my best to raise a great kid. Is it a hard job, yes but the best job too. I have never felt a stronger love than the love I have for my son.

Yeah, "is that even legal?" - And yet, people get all nasty and judgmental when a mom wants to take a break by.... going to work for a moment! It's the toughest job ever and with almost least appreciation. I wish I knew before I signed up.

Now go fly to work on an oil rig for 105 hours a week for 4 weeks straight. Get one week or two off. Go back for 4 more weeks ad infinitum. Then go home one week and find out that ol wonderful mom is cheating on you with a drug deal who has all the time in the world. She still somehow takes everything you worked for. Then goes and votes for people who took your job and pays for her kids that weren't yours in the first place.

Leave it to some Bitching “parent” to convince the rest of the world to at being a parent is the most difficult or hardest job in the world.
Check this out. Being a “parent” isn’t a job! It’s a responsibility that you signed up for when deciding to have kids. Is it work, yes, but in grand scheme of all the work out there that’s difficult, being a parent is at the bottom, especially when the kids start going to school.
Let’s not confuse responsibility with jobs. I am a mobile crane operator for a tree service and every day I am around dangerous work that is very labor intensive with mentally sharp skills being a must. When I come home I have 3 kids that I LOVE being a dad to.
So if you were to ask me to choose between stay at home parent or crane operator for tree removal I would pick stay at home parent er day!
If parents have such a tough job, then don't be one. *No one asked to be born.*
By giving birth to a new being, you are subjecting that being to all kinds of sufferings and risks. The positives from life are only short-lived and far in between. And very few people have mastered living in the moment, so most of us can't relish the good from life when it comes our way.
Your children did not give you consent to force them into this world, so *stop idolizing parents.* Every new being brings with it a plethora of problems to already existing lives. In fact, procreation is the root of all problems and sufferings.
Learn about *antinatalism. Stop having kids.*
