- This play when you are challenging Gym Leaders in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. They have different section and I was able to record them all.
To check out their battle, just click on the video cards ("!")
---
Main goal of these video concept ideas:
My main goal for these kind of videos is to be as creative as possible!
Let me explain:
Firstly, my very first channel Mixeli (But also my latest one Volipok) post tons of Gameplays from Every Generation (Which once again was played and recorded by myself in it's entirety. It took me many years of works.)
My video have Educational Value and let me explain why: It does provide help to the user who watch the video. One of the few example for that is which musics is played from my gameplays. It could easily be found on video cards (The exclamation mark "!" you see on the video above at the right) and vice versa. (This mean that on this video for example, you could also find my actual battle gameplays of where this music is played)
Secondly, My video are transformative enough, I took the time to play the game and recording the musics. I took the time to improve it's original quality using Vegas Pro. Thanks to a program called "Track EQ" that you can find on Vegas Pro.
This program allow the user to enhance it's original quality and further improving it. This need concentration as each version has different audio quality.
Thirdly and as you have noticed: On each Generation, I use different background that I bought on a website called Shutterstock. (Which I have bought at least 336 pictures background, just so I can become as creative as possible and also work on a lot of different style using those background)
This kind of concept was created by myself since 2011. Today it has become one of the main concept of my channel that I personally created.
Lastly is to bring the community together. I have noticed that so many people are commenting and giving their opinions on the video, sharing their experience about characters from the game, confirming theory, saying funny stuff and I find this extremely amazing and interesting! I don't want their comment to be unnoticed so I have plan for the future of my content about commenting and sharing their experience on videos that I will produce one day!
I think I explained everything now. Enjoy and have a great day!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All musics, gameplay and content included within this video are transformative, creative, have educational value and this recording are from my own gameplay. I'm also the one that created that concept video ideas. No copyright infringement is intended.

Shoutouts to Iono for being the only gym leader that uses their pokemon's tera type intelligently. In so many gym battles, I'll clobber all the gym leader's other pokemon with one attacking type. Then, they send out something that could actually beat that attacking type, but immediately turn it into the same type I had type advantage on in the first place.
Then there's Iono, using tera electric and Levitate together.
Another exception would be Larry since hus Tera Type boost the normal stab staraptor already has. Plus since it still has flying stab, he can counter fighting types pretty easily
Yeah i feel like their ace pokemon should have already been there specific type and it should have changed into something else
What do you expect? It’s a Pokémon game
@@Sherok_Sama Larry was actually one of the gym leaders I also blew up with a single attacking type. Didn't matter that he had flying coverage, because my Agility boosted Gallade was faster than his Staraptor. If he had kept the flying type to at least make it neutral, he might have lived the hit, and KO'd back. But he couldn't.
NO FRICKIN WEAKNESSES
My favourite gym leader was Tulip. Finally, a psychic type trainer... Who isn't an actual psychic. She's a stylist and the pink/purple colours of psychic types are her style. She likes them because they're pretty. It's about time.
Same here. A bit tired of all psychic trainers being psychic and all ghost trainers being able to talk to the dead or something. Finally something just enjoys the type without being cliché.
If i remember the word Psychic sounds like the name Psyche (also known as Cupid’s wife and i think someone mentions that it means human soul and psyche in the myths has to do with butterfly wings)
Idk man sorry for spreading misinformation i think???
@@WongKinYuenHK Literally just "I just think they're neat"
If she isnt psychic, then how do the wings on her dress move?
@@EKURAIN Correct, actually. Psyche (goddess of the human soul) got butterfly wings after she was turned immortal at the end of her story, so I think Tulip's design + type specialty intend to allude to Psyche's story.
Larry, oddly enough, is the least normal Pokemon character.
It's ironic that the thing that makes Larry really stand out is the fact that he's just some normal dude.
The fact that he's so normal is what makes him cool to me lol
They reuse Hala and Nanu designs and animations to make Kofu and Larry.
He’s just a normal guy with an ok job and an average life in the Pokémon world

I do love how the gym music gets more intense as the battle goes on. That is a nice touch. Makes it a bit harder to listen to in an mp3 player due to how it loops but the way it loops in this video is pretty nice. How the Galar gym music was mixed though is beyond me.... cause that song changes depending on if you're making a move vs actually doing the battling.

@@robertbreschard3493 yeah because they terastallize which is the main gimmick of the gen
I love how dynamic these themes have gotten in recent years. Gen5's dramatic callback to the original Pokemon theme, Gen8's intense cheers and chants from the crowds, and now a theme that ramps up intensity for each member of their team we knock down, culminating in a bit of everything from before: a triumphant final push, and cheers from the watching crowd. (Nothing to say of that nice little interlude piece as the final showdown is about to begin).

Honestly I really like what they did with this one. The dynamic music being introduced with Gen 8 was a great start, and now they fully embraced it with music progressively building as the battle goes on, telling a story. And yeah, it's not as good as SwSh one but you have to remember that this time gyms are not the main focus of the game, they are one of three so it doesn't have to be as intimidating.
Oh also Larry is one of the best gym leaders ever.
@@elegant_lilligantI swept through his team but his fight is still one of my favorites. So much personality
I feel like we commonly forget though that Gen 5 was the first to have dynamic music in their fights and areas in general. But then they forgot about it for awhile only to slightly bring it back in Gen 8 and Gen 9. It's been a long ass time since they utilized dynamic music
I'm glad though, back in the SWSH games, the player character does the Gym Challenge while Leon does the dangerous important things. We couldn't do anything until Eternatus scene. I'm glad in Scarlet and Violet, we get to do more than just Gym battles.
@@MangoBitts12 To be fair when compared to regular dynamic music, where the song changes slightly depending on the situation, B/W did it a bit too aggresively that I don't know if it counts or not. Sure, technically the fact that the music changes when you are low on HP or it's the gym leader's last Pokemon counts as dynamic, but there's no real connection between them and the regular music that was playing, they just start playing.
Who was suprised Iono of all people would have a Mismagius for her Ace? Not to mention it's very annoying if you're fighting her with equal leveling or underleveled
Yeah especially after Iono trailer was like Belibolt her ace

I like it but I feel like it's a little slow at first for a mini-boss battle
How? That song is terrible for a gym battle
As a guy who works in an office, Larry sure is damn relatable. Easily my favorite from the new gym leaders.
Man is a foodie too, respect.
I heard that in Japanese, he said he uses Komala, a Pokemon that is always asleep, because that is "what all salarymen truly desires".
the Facade line is even better, "allow me to show you the signature move of all working men."
Even his name is relatable and normal. You have gym leaders with unique name and then there’s “Larry”
larry should retire as an elite 4 and settle as that towns gym leader, he would have it easier and enjoy some meals at the resturant after some good battling
@@EXEcosmoman20 yeah that would be the smart move. but I don't think that Larry had any say in the matter of being an Elite Four member, so he probably couldn't retire that easily
I'd like to pour one out to Kofu for actually having a dang cool thematic Tera Ace.
Crabrawler's a coconut crab (which are terrestrial), so it makes perfect sense that they're not part-Water. Crabominable on the other hand is based off of the yeti crab, which is SUPER deep-sea.
Plus they both fit together so snugly as a bunch of childish oafs.
The use of the Tera Type’s also good, assuming you’re using a Grass type and not Electric. In theory. Too bad the crab’s too dang slow to make much of a difference.
@@TylenOneal239Kofu is a name for some kind of seaweed, so... It makes sense.
Coconut crabs came from hell
Tbf they all are thematic
Katy is a baker and Teddiursa likes honey and sweets.
And there's also the Fury Cutter spam strat.
Sudowoodo is pretending to be a plant. You clould say it can make some poses for sculptures, paintings or other art pieces since it can stand still for a long time.
Iono has Mismagius but i guess it's like a magical girl thing? Something something cute loli streamer. The Mismagius has levitate as an ability to remove it's weaknesses, has hex to take advantage of paralizi g the opponent and spams charge beam to buff its Special Attack.
Staraptor is a final form of an early route normal bird. It also knows Facade which is a TM Larry gives you after battle making a comment about how we should make a good use of it and not make the description of our life.... Poor guy...
Ryme is a rap god and has a Toxtricity which isn't specifically a rapping Pokémon but looks edgy enough. I like how the idea of her being a ghost type specjalist is her rapping "being so good even the dead wake up" taken litterally.
Love that one Greavard that's grooving in the background on top of a big speaker.
Grusha has Altaria. Normally it's very weak to ice but he uses it's weakness as an advantage.
Grusha used to be a professional snowboarder and iirc there's a trick in snowboarding called Cloud Nine which just so happens to be Altaria's Hidden Ability.
Altaria's fluffy body is white like snow too, useful as a camouflage in snowy environments.
And finally there's Tulip and her Florges. I think this one should be obvious. Florges is about looking pretty in a way. Flowers are pretty, so is Florges and the gardens it takes care of. Florges is also based on certain greek mythological fairies that would do pretty much the same.
Why a psychic type and not like fairy? No idea, maybe it's about how beauty is in the eyes of the viewer, beauty is objective, beauty is how we act etc.
I was so excited to hear that they brought back the crowd. Something about them just makes it FEEL like a gym battle, like all eyes are on you to win. Simply amazing
Shoutout to Larry for being the most difficult gym leader for me due to Facade, me answering that during Rika's interview, then having a surprise entrance during the Elite Four to give me PTSD. All the while these are just side gigs for him. Truly the greatest gym leader of all time.
I said Larry was the hardest too, and was surprised when he entered in the E4.
I thought that the game made you rematch the gym leader you had the hardest time with as part of the assessment. Too bad that's not the case.

Still like freezington better for some reason (even though i don't have a copy of Gen 8 games)
I really like how they kept the crowds and the cheering from Sw/Sh
Really sells the fact this is a big event to any town when it happens
Now that I think about it, it really is like that! Hell, a crowd stormed the restaurant to cheer on Larry. With SwSh you had basically sport celebrities. With SV you’ve got, what I can only describe as, “the home town hero” of sorts, like if Geeta didn’t put them up to the job, then their towns likely would’ve because the people like them so much.
@@CaptainObliviousV that’s honestly one of the details I really like about the paldea gyms. Even if they were to get replaced by someone else after the events of the story due to the champion evaluation, we still know that they have lives outside of their battles.
Funny how the cheering is even more clear and intense than an entire stadium's worth of onlookers, huh?
@@blackosprey2219 because they're way closer to you??? the stadiums in galar are fucking enormous (for obvious reasons) whereas the spectators in paldea are like right there lol
despite all the glitches and bugs with this game, it’s genuinely one of my favourites. playing pokemon scarlet is probably the most fun i’ve had in a while
I honestly agree i mean i get it the games have problems but like aside from that i would agree that these are by far the best in the serious at least characters and story wise. It's been years since we had a good pokemon game come out since black and white because in my honest opinion nothing after black and white was that great till scarlet and violet , i will continue to play these games over and over like i did with black and white and ruby and sapphire and i can't wait for the DLCs hopefully we can pray they iron out the issues with the game before hand.
I hope they take their time with the next few games and focus on squashing bugs and adding smaller details, I haven't enjoyed pokemon this much since my first game (which was admittedly Sun, but I did play Y as well) and the fully open world format fits pokemon so well
i think people get too caught up on whether the games are well made or "objectively" good. i find them to be some of the most fun games in the series with a ton of stuff to do. the story took me by surprise by being one of the more dynamic ones with multiple plots going on at the same time.
yes, they are a glitchy mess, and yes, i think game freak should slow down their development, but i think it's become an annoying trend to just hate on any new pokemon game that comes out because that's what everyone else does
@@icebearlikestrains6238to be fair we shouldn't be getting a glitchy, laggy mess of a game from the highest grossing media franchise in the world, so that criticism is completely valid. I think the games were still fun, but they definitely needed more time and polish. I also didn't really like some of the story or characters personally, and the fact the games aren't truly open world due to the lack of level caps or incentive to challenge harder gyms earlier actively hurts them.
They're not terrible games by any means, but still not amazing. They're perfectly fine experiences, but we should be getting more from, again, the highest grossing media franchise.
This is the ugliest first party switch game I have ever seen. Like I’m having fun but it’s so distracting
Holy… Grusha and Iono, I will forever love these too, Iono the energetic streamer with Bellibolt a super cool mon! And Grusha, a “chill” yet “cool” leader, he just wants to battle and leave but he has the best design of a leader ever. Bravo GF, made me fall in love with these leaders
I like how the music gets progressively more intense as the gym leader’s Pokémon go down until the climax gives us the fun crowd sound like Gen 8 did. Hearing that maybe me realize, “Aw yeah, I’m gonna like this game.”
Pokeflix is dead forever
Katy actually beat me a couple of times before I defeated her. I learned an important lesson: Never underestimate Bug-type pokemon

Ryme who just rhymes instead of being a weirdo for ghost types

I love how each of the Gym Leaders’ final Pokémon kind of matches something about them or their type speciality.
Teddiursa gives off Katy’s “sweet” vibe.
Sudowoodoo fits Brassius’s Grass-type.
Mismagius just kind of looks right for Iono.
Crabominable fits the “buffed” theme of Kofu.
Stararaptor foreshadows Larry’s switch to Flying types.
Toxtricity is PERFECT for Ryme’s “drop the beat” feel.
Florges is a flower. Tulip is completely about flowers.
Altaria is bundled up in fluffy gear, just like Grusha.

Brassius is also a sculptor. So his ace is a pokemon that's normally a rock type, and is also known for standing perfectly still.
Also for iono, Mismagius grants her an advantage since it knows levitate

Mismagius is known for hypnotizing its victims- like how Iono hypnotizes her audience with her streams.
Just remember Iono's catchphrase: "Your eyes are mine! Caught in my Electoweb!"

I don’t know what they were thinking composing this. If someone made me hear this, without me knowing where the music was from, it wouldn’t even sound like a Pokémon game to me.
Dont be sorry its a generation shift.I think it sounds like clown music its awful.
Can we all agree that Brassis and Iono are the hardest early gym fights in Paldea?
Iono, for sure I agree with.
People hating this are on all sorts of copium
I don't know why, but every time the segment after 3:10 plays it just fills me with a strange overwhelming joy that sends a chill down my spine and causes my eyes to tear up slightly. Something about it just feels so triumphant, so supportive, so joyful.
Ok hear me out
Piers and raihan vs Ryme and Iono
This is hype
In what exactly? A Pokémon battle? If is that then Raihan can defeat those two alone with low difficulty, considering that he's a Champion level character.
It feel so sad comparing to the Galar gym leader theme
Some people say this gym leader theme is bad
However...
I disagree!
I love Colres
Some would say that the Colress jokes are dead. However... I disagree!
"Hello there... it's me, Larry."
Iono best Gym Leader in this entire game
She has an Electric Tera Type Mismagius with Levitate, come on.
Counterpoint: Larry
Mold Breaker: am I a joke to you
Lono is an odd way to spell Larry
@@shelbysycamore637 It's a capital "i" my guy. Even weirder way to spell Larry.
If you fix the bugs, this game is genuenly one of the best out there 😍
Totally agree!! That's how GOOD these games are, overall.
I find that a lot of the real nasty ones were patched out. The only persistent glitch I encountered was finding a tiny, uninteractable Poké Ball or Ultra Ball in the centre of various rooms.
@ShockInazuma that's odd. I've never had that issue.
1:51 VAULTIN' VELUZA!
This is so random but I love it
VAULTIN' VENEZUELA!
Larry and Iono is the best new gym leader
Larry is just cool
The crowd chanting really worked in Galar, but here... Not so much. The jazz is amazing though
I think a reference that flew everyones heads since i dont see too many people talking about it its the fact that Brassius is a Brazilian reference. I becomes more clear if you speak his name like Bra-Zeeus, which is the way that most brazilians would speak his name on the fly. Also his gym name is a pretty reference too because Artazon Gym is basically Art + Amazon, it makes sense cuz hes a artist and also likes the nature
It is really cool that the theme builds as you knock out opponent Pokemon. It's most noticeable in the rematches since they have full teams, but it's a very nice touch.
What are team stars Pokémon
I really liked this theme quite a bit but I loved it especially after the gym leaders terastalize it gave me this fuzzy feeling when the crowd began cheering the battle theme around you made it feel like there really was a crowd watching a cheering it was a feeling I never felt playing Pokemon before so it left an impression on me.
The spirit of competition, battle, and victory.
I like Ryme just cause while fighting her you'll see the cute doggo dancing in the background lol not only that see really packed a bunch and that's what we need to see from these gym leaders from now on
the worst gym leader battle music of all time
Larry solos all
Iono and larry were defiantly the two gym leaders who seem to have gotten the most screen time Iono with her whole Vtube vibe trail and Larry not only being a gym leader but also an elite four member as well all the other's just felt like they were there well ryme had her little concert at the start but it was still nothing compared to the other two. I also like how our school director was just wondering around Iono's town and she scouted him to help with the gym trail and he just went along with it while having fun
I feel that Larry and Ryme had the best screen time. Ryme had double battles and therefore, the cheering part of the music sounded longer.
@@NaushadSayeed speaking of which, I’m surprised they didn’t utilize double battles more outside of competitive. Like really? About 6 or so battles total?
I like how they take advantage of each of the different typings.
Katy’s Teddiursa/Ursaring turning into Bug types switches their weakness of Fighting into a resistance, and allows them to take advantage of Pounce.
Brassius’ Sudowoodo turns into a Grass type to counter Water types, especially with the new move, Trailblaze, getting the Tera boost.
Iono’s Mismagius getting the Electric typing paired with its Levitate ability makes it have no weaknesses, making it a dangerous threat. Especially with Tera boosted Charge Beam increasing its Sp ATK.
Kofu’s Crabomidable becoming Water type allows it to counter Fire types with Tera boosted Crabhammer.
Larry’s Staraptor removes its Flying typing by terastallizing into a pure Normal type, and also powers up its Stab boosted Facade.
Ryme’s Toxtricity removes the many weaknesses of Poison and Electric by becoming Ghost type, and gets a Tera boost to its Hex.
Tulip’s Florges becoming Psychic threatens the Poison type, known for countering Fairy types, with Tera boosted Psychic.
Grusha’s Altaria becomes an Ice type to threaten its fellow dragons with Tera boosted Ice Beam.
The only problem with this is that their Tera Types are the same as their specialities, so...
While in most battle situations those make sense, in Gym Battles and other MonoTeam Confrontations, those are a little too predictable
What are the gym leaders signature Pokémon
@@robertbreschard3493 Those are also known as Ace Pokemon - their strongest Pokemon, most commonly associated with the Gym Leader.
Not to mention that Larry's Staraptor also eliminates the threat of electric and rock types by becoming pure normal.
@@ShockInazuma *and* it keeps the ability to threaten fighting types
Banger, don't care what anyone says, the buildup is amazing.
ngl probably the weakest leader theme of the franchise. it has almost nothing going for it. yeah, the last part is nice but it's impossible not to think of galar's there which is straight up better. also the rest of the theme is way too repetitive and overall weak unfortunately
3:40 when they said "la" I felt that
They kept the best part from last gen.
@@gustyko8668but it only worked last gen because it had the spectacle and importance of being in a giant stadium with thousands of people watching
The cheering in SwSh fit better cause it was a stadium full of people, meanwhile in SV you have at most 2 dozen spectators 😅
competitive pokemon has ruined me. The second I got out into the wilderness I spent two hours catching a charcadet with perfect stats and nature
Man, that crescendo at 3:23 is such incredible hype.
Music kids definitely love that.
@@jcplays5831 sure old man, go take your medicine and go to sleep
Straight out of Gen 5
@@AstartE813 ok gooner
Man, why’d they have to bring that synth crowd sample back? It doesn’t work for melodies or in the context of Paldea gyms.
At least these gym leaders use the gimmick right instead of this stupid x and y where only dianthea used the mega-evolution for gardevoir
*LIVING LIKE LARRY.*
Wish the would have leaned into more of a marching band aesthetic, rather than a weird techno jazz deal
Okay but the human designs this gen are amazing. Galactic slay tbh
Fr. I love how the gym leaders’ designs aren’t necessarily “In-your-face”. Like Ryme’s dreads are in the shape of a skeleton arm at the front and a pelvis at the back. However, it’s not that obvious what her typing is. She doesn’t even wear purple, which many ghost type gym leaders before her have worn.
And while Larry’s obviously the normal-type gym leader, there are small subtle clues in his design of what his E4 typing is. His tie looks like a cloudy sky, and he has those “flyaway” wisps of hair.
I love how kind of a red herring Tulip’s design is. Because she’s more dressed in pinks and the wings of her shoes look like fairy wings, you’d think she’d be the fairy type gym leader. But nope, she’s the psychic type gym leader.
@1:18 favorite subtle beat drop 👌🏼
Love the brass in this section
I do be living like Larry
