After the race I just felt happy for Zhou, it was his "once in a lifetime moment", and those are wonderful to witness.
I'm glad F1 gave it to him.
It was kind of awkward like Zhou was celebrating a podium, then it cuts to Max right after, was wholesome but also slightly funny
@@panicbuyflax3461 I think the crowds really enjoyed it, and Zhou had wonderful support every moment of the weekend, so it all culminated with a lot of emotions, nothing wrong with that :)
The kid deserved that moment, I was very happy for him.
Accidents happen but the way Stroll takes no accountability is what boils my blood. Grow up!
.....THE SAME AS RUSSEL, THO
........SO, MAYBE WE'LL START FINALLY TO BLAME THOSE WHO *MADE* BRAKE TESTS, AND NOT THOSE WHO FELL VICTIMS TO THESE?
@@robotnikkkk001neither Russel nor Stroll have any excuse except that they weren’t paying attention approaching a turn and crashed and then blamed it on the ones in front of them.
To be fair, the crash wasn't entirely Stroll's fault. The crash was a result of the concertina effect, and the drivers further up could have also reacted quicker or have swerved to the side instead of slamming on their brakes and putting their faith in the driver behind to react faster than they did.
But obviously Stroll does deserve at least part of the blame, even if Alonso, Piastri, and Ricciardo were also partially responsible. I'd argue that Alonso deserves about as much of the blame as Stroll, as the incident was initiated by Alonso locking up slightly (though Alonso already got an unfair penalty in Australia, and the incident could have been avoided entirely if Piastri and Ricciardo had reacted perfectly).
I think Stroll's punishment was relatively harsh, and that it could have been dismissed as a "racing incident", though it wasn't completely unreasonable either - definitely more defensible than Alonso's penalty at Australia, at least.
Spoiled rotten kid that was never very good to begin with...daddy bought him an f1 team.

i am so mad Daniel got taken out by Lance, he was in the top 10 for most of the race. He was like P8/7 with floor damage before retireing
He still had to pit for hards sadly but Riccardo is on a redemption
Stroll vs teammates:
-Point finishes: Teammates 79-56 Stroll
-Points scored: Teammates 538-277 Stroll
-Qualifying h2h:Teammates 103-35 Stroll (17-2 against Massa in 2017, 18-2 against Pérez in 2019, 30-5 against Alonso so far counting sprint qualifying, 26-14 against Vettel)
-Average Qualifying GAP: 0.243 in advantage of teammate (keeps in mind Sirotkin was his teammate in 2018 and Vettel had inconsistent qualifying form in 2022, that was kept the average Gap relatively decent, Massa in 2017 was 7 tenths faster on average and Alonso so far is 5 tenths faster on average, still the worst average GAP with teammate on the grid besides Sargeant)
Despite all this, he still has a drive after 8 seasons in one of the most competitive seat, dare tell me he's still here thanks to his talent.
And this is without mentioning that, in all 3 podiums he got, he was far behind his teammate on merit in those races, Massa was ahead in Azerbaijan but had an engine failure, Pérez was ahead in Italy but got screwed by the red flag, Pérez overtook him from the last place in Bahrain.
His only true genuine moment of brilliance are Monza 2017 during qualifying and Istanbul 2020 during qualifying in the rain, that's it, a part from this, he was either bang average to downright terrible (considering he had sometimes very decently competitive cars).
Imagine how lost he would be if the cars were as unstable as they were 30 years ago.
To top this, he has a habit of creating very dangerous incidents due to a lack awareness.
-Qualifying Australia 2022 with Latifi
-Cool down Lap Malaysia 2017 with Vettel
-2022 US GP with Alonso
-Today with Ricciardo
Just to cite a few, the guy should get his superlicense revoked, accidents fruit of incompetence are the most dangerous, because they create misunderstanding and unusual situations.

Having Alonso and Stroll in the same car would be like me being Schumacher's team mate during Ferrari's glory days.
More like Schumi's teammate at Benetton in 1994.
@@maze_sbin except stroll is the one hitting people off track this time around
Don't disrespect yourself like that.
Would still do better than windowlicker probably...
In fairness, you would probably do a better job than Stroll
except massa and barrichello actually won some races
Maybe Papa Stroll should've invested in Volvo instead of Aston, Their city driving collision avoidance system would've been useful
The "Zhou" parking spot on the track at the end was very wholesome.
The Board Room at Aston Martin needs to put their foot down. Stroll is tanking them.
I've never been this angry at a driver ever before. What Lance did to Daniel that destroyed his diffuser and ultimately caused him to DNF disappointed me, but the fact that Lance said that the penalty was unfair and inadvertently blamed Daniel for that incident made me angry now. That one Daniel interview summed it up perfectly.
Poor Daniel was actually having a great weekend, too. Clearly comfortable with the new chassis and being the better RB driver as well. However, I want to see him continue this form since China is a track Daniel is familiar with, unlike Yuki, so maybe that could be one of the reasons why Yuki was quite slow.
Alonso backed them up before restart was gap behind Ferrari at hairpin...
It also scuppered Oscar's race as his diffuser was damaged as well and it meant he could barely hang onto P8 and Russell was safe.
If you do better the rest of the time, accidents make less impact. Everyone gets bad luck. Some don't compound the loss by driving like a...#2
And after being confronted about his comments he just deflected his hubris , some idiot , some car ahead , someone ahead in the line
Stroll is holding back Aston martin. If they dropped him for Sainz they could probably jump ahead of mercedes in the standings, maybe even challenge Mclaren. Hopefully Aramco put some preassure on Lawrence to decide on if he wants to win or keep his son in the car.
That hair is about to reach "Eraserhead" level. :P
I am happy the ladder is aluminium
On german TV Toto Wolf was furious with Lewis...
He said everything went wrong this weekend was Lewis fault. He said (meaning not word for word) "Lewis made the decision for our Set up this weekend. It was SO BAD, the car couldnt even turn in corners. ... 12 years with him are good and fine, but now its time for refreshing." Asked if he (Toto) would blame Lewis even when he has no longer knowlege of the cars data, Toto said "His role in development is overstated. It would be worse to lose an engeneer"
Link the article.
Honorable mention for winners is the Red Bull Pit crew. Both drivers came into both pitstops on the same round and they almost broke the WR time for pit stops with all of them lower than 2.1 seconds.
It's actually crazy that they have such a performance advantage and yet still choose to drive every hundredth out of the pit stops. Great ethos.
Lando’s performance doesn’t “redeem” him in the slightest. If anything it shows how he turns into a completely different driver when pressure for the win is on the table.
Yes, this was a good example of not winning at Turn 1.
And I want him to win as a Ferrari fan. Sure we can do better and not have our 2 drivers fight during the race. Though Lando finally getting pole would be amazing to see
I don't think a win was ever on the table unless it was raining. Starting on pole doesn't bring that much extra pressure than starting in the top 3 or so, which he's done plenty of times. I think it was just a miscalculation, not due to pressure of winning but just due to poor judgement.
Counterargument: Silverstone 2023
Getting a bad start can happen at any part of the grid, same as getting a good start. He has taken the lead from starts, but he doesn't hold on and lets max by and is criticized. He has a bad start and tries to stick it around the outside and he misjudges the grip level and loses places (4 points worth) and of course he is criticized. So is he being too aggressive or too passive? It's not like he could've just stayed behind lewis and he would've just won the sprint, he would finish 2nd or 3rd.
I would love to see young drivers trying out F1 cars in the sprint and offers more points, only for the constructors, so that it is worth risking their car
yes! I’ve been saying this for a good while now and f1 fans are always boohooing me when I say that
Danny gets rammed by the Strolldozer, then gets Strolled again by the stewards.
What a bunch of Stroll!
I'm not usually in the "scream at Strullovic" bandwagon, but I'm tired of him.
Stroll short bus intensifies
Stroll ruined the races of both Australian drivers - who may or may not be where we want them, but that is asides the point. Their races were taken from them! How he is allowed in F1, and has the audacity to blame others, is beyond me.
I’m just really happy that Williams went (aside from the Sargeant spin) incident free this weekend. Hopefully they will be able to kick on now and get some upgrades on the car instead of having to focus on repairing chassis all the time.
Danny boy was on his way to potential points until Lance "Meh *blinks twice* idk" Stroll rear ended him and then...........Blames Danny for it, when Danny was actually paying attention and hit his brakes when he was supposed to.
I was completely prepared to finally end this weekend with something good for Danny but then the window licker had to ruin it! I bet he saw a bottle of jam on the diffuser and just barged in. Anyways Law could you explain to me how Nico overtaking Danny under the SC is fine by the regs but Danny doing the same on the same lap itself is a three place penalty? Also how fair is it to convert a 10s penalty into a 3 place grid one? I bet papa Stroll must have called Domenicali.
I mean the radio messages do get cherry picked but Lewis could've moved beyond the point of mentioning how slow the car is, it isn't any feedback that Mercedes can use to change the outcome in the race and it feels like he's covering his own ego. It's never him.
Did you really say Daniel got "tapped"?! Homie got demo derbied!
I remember the good old days of pre qualifying and 32 cars fighting for 28 places.
In 2021 I would have expected Stroll to kick on, improving his consistency and overall race craft. That pole in Turkey and the couple podiums he got in 2020 and seasons prior should’ve spurred him on to greater things but it just never materialised. I haven’t seen any signs of maturity in him at a point in his career where he should be driving at his best
Consider for a moment that Ricciardo, a 8 time race winner who has been on the podium over 30 times and a veteran of the sport for almost 13 years now, is having to fight tooth and nail to stay on the grid as Liam Lawson lurks in the background, after barely making it back to the grid mid-season last year.
Meanwhile Lance Stroll who's only achievements are 3 podium finishes and a pole position. Who regular gets beaten by his teammate who is 20+ years older than him. Who has failed to show any consistency in his performances. Who arguably cost his team money and positions in the Constructors Championship last season. And who acts like a spoilt brat and talks down to his team members (something most top tier drivers could never get away with). And yet remains in the sport because his father owns the team.
Daniel Ricciardo's expletive anger at Lance Stroll makes perfect sense. Any driver who is fighting for their seat next season, probably feels the same way, that this driver who is arguably worse than them, gets to be on the grid while they may miss out is infuriating.
RPM video about to be fire

I can finally get behind the sprint events. This is the format I was originally expecting - it's logical. F1 makes simple things incredibly difficult..
Hulkenberg performance is impressive. He really deserve a seat in a faster car.
Big upgrade for Aston Martin, replace Stroll
More points after P10, Nico's point was bang on. No because it has to mean something, it's F1 it has to be hard not easier.
Revision after more teams are added, until then no way.
What more do you want from Bottas, he maximized practically every part of the weekend 😭
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things also as Sainz fan the best we could get was 4th hopefully Ferrari are better next time out. 👍
I love how you always find a way to plug a recent video at the end in a way that doesn't scream artifically making up a connection out of thin air for views' sake. And it actually works, there's a decent chance I'll watch it if it isn't super fresh in my mind anymore :)
A weekend of what-ifs for Zhou :(
Finished best of the rest in the sprint by a significant margin, but no points.
Then he was easily on pace for a Q2 appearance until the mistake at the hairpin arghhhhh
I rarely agree with David Croft but extending the points to much lower positions is something I absolutely think should happen. Beat someone, have it reflected in the score. The original 8-6-4--3-2 (+1 for FL) system was in an era where classified finishers were often as low as 6 or 7 and F1 clung to it for far too long. There needs to be careful balance of the distribution to prevent someone coasting to a title on a big early cushion but it would definitely incentivize mid/back-grid racing and also mean things like the KMag blocking spectacular would be far less viable.
I love how laws goes turbo British when it comes to impersonating Russell
One more to add to the winners: The Redbull pitcrew. Pitstoptimes 1.9 2.0 2.0 and 2.1 seconds. And one was actually a double stack pitstop. That's really impressive!
I wonder why no on the radio told logan to give the pos back to nico.
I think this race was such a breath of fresh air for F1. It was really interesting and even exciting. Really good work from everyone!
It was definitely quite challenging to keep an eye out for all the stuff going on.
Great race this week and I really enjoyed Nico Rosberg commentary !
Me too!
He should get a permanent seat as commentators. Refreshing!
Here’s a new pact. If F1 management don’t want an 11th team in, then Aston has to force lance stroll out. His mouthbreathing Italian F4 racecraft is blocking a space for a more deserving driver.
As long as stroll is in, Andretti should be in.
I don’t think we can say George was quiet on the radio… the broadcast just did not relay it on the show
Logan Sargeant has slowly improved his pace from last year, although not significant. Was only a tenth slower than Albon in the sprint qualifying and was on par with him for the sprint race. But he really needs to cut out the rookie mistakes like he did in qualifying. And his last stint on the hard tyres were poor after he was having a somewhat decent first half of the race. Hopefully he improves and earn a seat for next year.
To be fair to his last stint. He was on those for so long on a track he's racing on for the first time.
Haas did have the upgrades on both cars this weekend.
True
No. Both Haas cars had their upgrade. F1TV interview before the formation lap. I know it was early, but yeah.

Mike crack will say that lance's banzai shows his commitment to the team
Forgive the double-post but can we talk about how it has been a constant with Lance Stroll's teammates that they seem to constantly be given worse strategy options and bizarre adhoc 'alternate' strategies? It constantly happened to Seb especially. Lance would inexplicably get pitstop priority when he was behind, Seb or Checo would get switched to 'gambles' that didn't pay off or suddenly left out to 'extend' stints as they got slower and slower and Lance never was and I'm wondering if the same was attempted on Nando here.
Whats funny how the stewards specifically point out and use as a reason for blame that Stroll wasn’t paying attention and should have anticipated the pace…. Russell admitted to looking at his steering wheel while making a change in Australia, yet that incident it’s still Fernando’s fault. Russell should have anticipated a change in pace due to that’s what defending is about.
Here is an idea: You finish a race? You get a point. Right now cant differentiate p11 all the way down to dnf , which is crazy.
Best race position still counts toward standings
Imo the points on the higher positions must be closer like 25 for first and 23 for second, 20 for 3rd, something like that, and have points all the way down to 13th or 15th
Riccardo having a stinker while De Vries has one of the best stints of the race a few hours later in imola is really funny to me
New points ?!?!?! then why not just give all the way down, 20 for first and 1 for 20th ..... (and based on distance completed) !!
Imagine Yuki Tsunoda told and help Andretti to sold them to Haas just to spite Haas for taking him out twice so Haas could score points.
Either english isnt ur first language or you need to slow down when u type
Daniel got Strolled
Lanced more like it.
I tentatively also like the Sprint format, especially because the parc ferme changes mean that drivers won't be able to resist tinkering after a bad sprint.
Haas keep their nose clean in a reliable car that seems to have addressed the tire wear problems from last year. They’re there to pounce for scrap points when other teams screw up. That’s kinda all you can ask for a team in their state and so far they’re consistently doing it.
So, I can see Zhou being out of F1 after this season but what are your thoughts on Bottas? Will he have an F1 seat next season? Rally? Sports Cars?
21:37 I wouldn’t even say the penalty was his fault, more on the team than him.
11:54. I ABSOLUTELY CACKLED. STOP 😂
I cheered when Kick-Sauber had a 3.0 sec pitstop. They didn't screw it up!
That's the end for Danny Ric I think.
Lawson will be in before seasons end.
on F1 TV Pro they kept saying that both Hass had the new upgrades and praised them for being able to bring it for both cars - are you sure you got it right that Nico had the old setup?
I believe I read up prior to the race that Kevin was going to have the upgrade for China and then a few more tweaks for both cars in Miami.
Commentators definitely praised Haas for getting upgrades to both cars rather than just the one as planned.
@@LawVS They said on F1tv that Kevin was the only one supposed to have the upgrades, but they were able to get them early to Nico. So prior to the race it would have said only Kevin
Perez also lost positions on the first VSC/SC (they didn't bring in Perez imminently.)
I totally embracing RPM theory on Lance stroll, he's a total spaz. All the driver should do what they were doing in the 70's, call a strike if he's allowed to race again.
Lance is either the worst driver in history or Ayrton Senna
Yeah he's Senna in every 1 of 20 races 😅
Maybe he’s always Senna in daddy’s eyes 🤦♂️
I said this on your Twitter feed:
The penalty for causing another driver to DNF needs to be more harsh than just 10 seconds.
Either the offending driver needs to be black-flagged, or they need to start from the back of the grid in the next race, or they need to be suspended for the next race.
The determination obviously needs to be influenced by the nature of the collision, but also the offending driver’s response to the incident.
In the case of Ricciardo/Stroll, I would say the latter’s unapologetic response should demand a race suspension.
For the record, I’m a Checo fan, so I don’t necessarily have a dog in this hunt.
I still want to see reverse championship grid order for the sprint races. Format should be: FP1-Sprint; FP2-Parc Fermé-Qualifying; Grand Prix.
I'm positive about more point positions in F1. Although I prefer they go even further and just give points to everyone who finishes the race except P20. It gives the most accurate championship result.
Thank goodness Stoll was told to watch out for George in the middle of the track - If Stroll had not been looking, as par, George may not of been seriously injured or worse!
Lando Prime, what a great driver. He has won so many races! (Ok fine this is a bit biased, salty Ferrari fan alert)
I think every driver that finishes the race should get some points, except if they finish in 20th. No points for last...
Formula participation.
KMAG was just as rude as GOAT Stroll.
Both Kmag and Hulk had the new car (was said on the f1 weekend warm-up)
Cmon Astons the 4th fastest merc is no where near aston on both qualifying and race
before talking about it was the chasis for ricciardos lack of pace you should be aware that this is yuki's first time on this track in addition to being a sprint race. Ricciardo racecd here multiple times and even won it. If chasis change made him faster it is most likely placebo on his side, but yuki's lake of pace can easily be explained by simply not knowing the track and not having any real practice time as in a classical weekend.
Dude, they literally have access to the best simulators in the world, Yuki must have ran this track in the simulator hundreds of times, definitely thousands of laps.
I went to Chinese GP this year (my college's only 3 hours of train away from Shanghai) and I understand why the Sprint race could be a success after actually watching a Grand Prix in site. The experiences of watching a race in site and on TV is different.
When you're watching live you're actually watching a "god's view" provided by director and the broadcasting team, you can see everything happened on the grid as long as the director didn't ignored it and forgot to switched the camera. So when you're watching TV live, you're actually watching the entire race from a higher perspective, and therefore you'll care more on the situation and strategy. So when you're watching live, the Sprint race's boring, since it didn't provided too much variables of the situation.
But when you're watching the race in site, you can't see the entire race track unless you're those rich guy who sit in the VIP seats, all you can see is the corner in front of you, so you'll care more on the fight, the overtake and defence on the track. Now the Sprint race is good, if you considering from this perspective. You have an extra chance to see more real fights on the track, and the race itself is keep in a length that you can enjoy it, instead of as long as the actual race that could be a bit of tired for the audiences in site.
I am so excited to see what McLaren and Aston Martin have to offer in the near future, especially with the 2026 regs. McLaren seem to be quite confident with their upcoming upgrades and Alonso re-signing for Aston makes me think they have something up their sleeves in the near future.
Lando was great but I want him so bad to step up and fight for victories. He can do it.
A little detail to make Zhou a bit of a winner. Zhou managed to pass Sergent for position in front of the crowds twice by my count. So while it wasn't really anything important for the actual race, a Chinese driver passing an American driver at their home track is going to be pretty popular with the home crowd. Even if the passes really weren't anything particularly exciting otherwise.
Lando, like George, has still a big issue to be clutch in decisive situations...
Fully agree with points up to 12th
I think Lawrence may have the FIA in his pocket. The amount of crashes Lance has caused is absurd, including his own.
Luckily for Lando, race day had no rain.😂
Daniel didnt get tapped he got TORPEDOED
People need to somehow boycot f2 because of stroll...or maybe get a hitman or something
Such a shame what has happened to Bianchi or Grosjean hasn't happened to Stroll
Sean Gelael Just Won 6 Hours of Imola🎉🎉🎉

Hulkenberg had the new spec car... he did not go back to the old spec.
I'm confused, in the German sky commentary, which always focuses on haas quite a bit, they said both of them got upgrades after all
I heard the same thing about Haas in the F1TV broadcast. Both Nico and Kev had the upgrades, contrary to what was originally planned.
He was going off information released before the race where only KMag was supposed to get the upgrades. Haas was able to bring forward Nico's last minute for this weekend.
i keep trying to defend stroll im Canadian and really love having a Canadian on the grid but its gotten so bad :(
Stroll cannot be defended at all
I'm Canadian too... let it go... he's embarrassing us at this point...🤦🇨🇦
19:36 hey, that could be a catchy tune. LawVS - Pump That. Pump that….pump that, pump that……pUmp that.
The sauber team is disappointing. The car doesn't live up to bottas or even zho. Zho may not have another season, but i sure hope bottas does. Lance, Logan, and Kevin need to wake up and remember how to drive or get out of the way for new talent. Yuki and Daniel, love em both and would be excited to see what they can do with better cars
Magnussen did really well in the Sprint quali and the sprint but then got very unlucky in the normal qualifying, having sargeant spinning infront of him and Tsunoda blocking him in T14, but that race was really bad, atleast he had a nice battle with Stroll for P16
aston martin stroll is mandated to do something stupid every race. he drives like a rookie despite all his years in the sport. he takes no accountability he doesn't need to worry about his seat he has a life time job at the team not unless something radically changes in the team ownership and with sponsors. he is holding back the entire team. i have been patient with him i have been as kind to him as possible but he compared to his teammate they are in different worlds in the same car. still has the midfield mentality.
and even if Ricciardo had no chance to score points it would of been more ideal if stroll didn't take his rear end and at least finish the race.
