What's your favorite 501 fit? 😮 Check out the ultimate guide to Levi's where I review 30 PAIRS of Levi's jeans: ruclips.net/video/mKQoRQc8iSs/видео.html
When I was a youngster, all I wore were 505’s, but at some point in time they decided to change the rise... I prefer not to give the world a show every time I bend over; therefore, I switched to another brand of jeans. Luckily, years later I saw the advertisements for the 501, 1993 retro jeans. I’ll take a button fly to be able to wear my favorite jeans again, without flashing the world ever time I bend over or crouch down. I even purchased an extra pair, just in case they discontinue them again.
This was fantastic. I know you’ve said it in another video, but I agree that it frustrating that Levi’s changes the 501 as frequently as it appears they do. I own the originals and ‘93’s. I thought the ‘54’s would have been looser.
After going through some Levi's and Wrangler jeans, I switched and started wearing Old Navy jeans. They are surprisingly durable, fit me great, and are inexpensive.
The 501 '54s is well proportioned and cut. It is hard to get a good fit on the rear these says but these are perfect. Sure, they are not selvedge or STF raw denim, but the cloth is substantial and 100% cotton, of course there will be a bit of shrinkage - as there always has been, even with non-shrink/pre-shrunk models. If these were made from top end raw denim then you would have to risk the shrink turning out right. As it is, just buy your size, relax and enjoy.
Denim head here, and fit. Finding jeans is hard for me, so I always have size up; and go for a straight fit.. or I’m not fitting, and I lm not a fan of loose fitting pants. 501 originals are great, you just have to size up appropriately.

Agreed, Levi's fits have become pretty unpredictable. You gotta try them on if you can, if not, hopefully my videos help.

Good to know. I usually size up for slim fit jeans so I wasn't expecting needing to size up for jeans labeled as "straight fit"
Sir 501 is shrink to fit it will be comfortable if you always adjust your size ex. If your 30 you should go for 31.
What are some good denim brands besides Levi's?
Do you recommend getting a bigger size in order to shrink to your size? Do the 501’54 shrink?
It's 100% cotton so there will be some shrinkage if you throw it in the dryer. I would recommend getting true to size and hang dry
What sneakers are you wearing with the 501 93 and 54?
@@indigo9997 I think that was Beckett Simonon Sneakers, probably Reid golf
Good guess! It's Goral Mellor II. Check out my review here: ruclips.net/video/swpDGdccF_Y/видео.html
Levi's have gone crazy trying to milk the 501 fit and it comes off as desperate...
501 Original will break overtime taking your body shape. I believe 501 original was best among three, I think you should size up !
Good to know and yea I agree, I need to go up at least 1 or 2 waist sizes.
