They were good but I wish it wasn’t done in this movie because it almost feels like wasted potential having the aliens be a backdrop on the movie kinda was expecting it to be a Cloverfield type of movie but here’s to hoping we get a more alien focused one through the perspective of like the military or something

The whole purpose for the 1st is to see how the humans 1st handled the aliens. Would make no sense for it to be like cloverfield because the aliens are different in this universe, people can actually hide as in the other movie those aliens were destroying everything in sight & can actually see
My theory is that they destroyed the bridges so that monsters wouldn't jump on the ships or boats, also when all the people were walking together I think the monsters were waiting a little bit because at first it sounded similar to the rain with the steps but as more people made isolated sounds the creatures could point out a special source for the noise and attack.
There's nothing like watching a 'Quiet Place' movie in theatres. It's the quietest you'll ever hear watching a movie. This movie had me crying like a baby and it had so much heart I wasn't expecting. I loved this movie and this reaction so freaking much!
Apparently they cut out a storyline where Eric is gay and feeling that he has no sense of home from his family’s rejection, he planned to end in his life in the subway station until it flooded. It just makes me emotional because somehow this whole experience saved his life.
@SpookyMartini watching the movie with the knowledge that he had wanted to die really enhances the theme, him being gay was a small part of it, but it's really his suicidal ideation that was really important. Seeing him wanting to live is beautiful

My anxiety was 100 times higher watching Frodo run around the city willing him to survive. The full on stampede of the aliens was wild. The alien lair scene was nerve racking! I loved their connection as characters & chemistry throughout the film. Everyone crushed it! The way these movies are able to convey so much emotion while being as silent as possible is insane. Absolutely loved this movie. Frodo survived! 🙌🏼 Top notch editing also. Such a great reaction y’all 🖤

This franchise is really good at getting us to embrace all that being human means through the shocking violence and mystery of the vast concept of " alien ".
Although the other two movies had some strong emotional scenes, this one really left a longer impact on me emotionally. It really did feel like the aliens took a backseat in this one to enhance lupita's (forgot the character name already) story but in a good way.

I honestly think I liked this one the best out of all of them. I loved the relationship between Lupitas character and Joseph Quinn’s character but honestly I was worried about Frodo the most! I saw it in the theater and for some reason these people brought their baby to the movie but I think I ended up crying more than the baby did. Especially the part where she talked about her dad and then when he was reading the part of the letter about not rubbing Frodos belly bc it made me think of my cat who hates his stomach being rubbed lol also me and my cat would be goners day one!

I get why some people maybe wanted more monster action, but this franchise has always been character-focused, and this film’s story of compassion and appreciating the little things when your world is ending just spoke to me. This is day one of the whole thing. So they don’t know that high frequency sounds hurts them just yet. Also, I’m surprised none of the reactors that I have watched so far, realized that the actor Djimon Hounsoun is also in the second movie. So the people in the boat do survive for a long time in that island that we see them in the second movie.
I’m more of a dog lover, but I was rooting for the cat when they went under water 😮 Her having cancer was a great touch because she relies on her meds during such a hectic situation like this. 😢 It gives the audience to root for her even more! But the sacrifice in the end had me bawling my eyes out!
I watched this with my niece a couple of weeks ago … all this girl was worried about was the damn cat lol 😂 she could’ve gave 2 fucks about what the people were going through lol
OMG when I went to see this in theaters there was a power outage in the area literally right as the aliens crashed on earth in the movie and the emergency lights turned on. Made for a memorable viewing experience! 😂

I will forever mourn the fact that they cut a two-minute scene in which Eric reveals he’s gay and had been contemplating unaliving himself before the aliens invaded. It would’ve added even more of an emotional gutpunch to the movie’s story
Finished this movie not too long ago and immediately had to come and watch you guys reaction. This was amazing. Like Sergio said its been a long time (probably since The Mist) since i cried this hard watching a horror film. These two were sooo great together. Felt their conmection instantly and im so glad they didnt make it romantic when they easily could have. I figured out the plot of this movie rather quickly but that didnt make it any less good at all.
My cat would have killed me and everyone near me within a minute. I have a Siamese cat and if you know, you know. He wil absolutely not shut up, especially not if he has to🤣

The City has been quiet on a few occasions. At some moments on 9/11 it was eerily quiet in the streets. And the minute something like that happens subways are immediately shir down, doesn't matter where you're at
the director confirmed recently that eric is gay (there's a deleted scene you can find online with a conversation between sam and eric where he brings it up). so perhaps in the next installment of a quiet place eric and frodo can adopt a new human / cute boyfriend lol.
i actually am hoping that if in case they will do a sequel based off of the first two, Eric will join in their group as a team. would be an amazing tie in from 2 storylines.
