- The Rasa Siddhi family would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who made it possible for us to organise the baithak and make it this huge a success.
The audiences were enthralled by the phenomenal sitar recital by the incredible Adnan Khan who performed Raga Shudh Kalyan and Raga Hamir and concluded the evening with the famous dhun “Anar Anar”, leaving everyone spellbound. Adnan was accompanied on the tabla by the exceptionally outstanding young master Yashwant Vaishnav
We will forever be indebted to those of you who took time out of your schedules to come support of us and be a part of this classical baithak experience we curated for you.
We wholeheartedly thank, Guru Urmila Nagar ji, Ustad Saeed Khan Sahab, Ustad Akram Khan Sahab, Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri Sahab, Pandit Vinod Lele Ji to name a few and others, who came and blessed us with their presence and love.
With all of your blessings we were able to kick start this new year in an exceptional manner.
The year gone by has been and continues to be a challenging time for most in every which way, it tested every aspect of ones life, but what got us through the difficult time was the love and support of our near and dear ones. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our family, we hope to only strengthen this bond over time.
Lastly, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our venue partner The Pink Lotus Academia ( @thepinklotusacademia ) without your support none of this would have been possible. We believe this association will only grow over the years.

ABOUT RASASIDDHI
Swaradhyay organized by "Rasa Siddhi", a promotion of Indian Classical music organisation dedicated towards honouring eminent musicians late Pt. Nikhil Bannerji and late Shri Prashant Thakur.
“Rasa Siddhi” is a collective of Sitar artists led by Shri Soumitra Thakur, which aims to reintroduce the historic culture of Baithak singing back to the larger public’s eye.
Music is celebrated and revered for not only being entertaining but highly meditative. That art connects people irrespective of societal divides and backgrounds is a well-known fact. Swaradhyay espouses this celebration of art in a baithak presentation, where both the artist and the audiences, participate in an intimate emotional exchange and interact on a common platform. Such a tradition, away from the current culture of stage performances in auditoriums, adds a personal touch to the participants’ experiences and is exactly what Swaradhyay endeavours to bring to life.

Adnan is something else. Yashwanth is next to impossible.
I am a great admirer of Adnan Khan's Sitar. His dexterity, swiftness and clarity with tankari is wonderful. In this piece, his baaj string was ever so slightly off key and the bead needed pulling which he did at 48:18, and one could at last breathe again! Sometimes the acoustics of the hall and the sound system's reverbs interfere with fine tuning, but you could see that as he performed his swift pieces, Adnan was subconsciously compensating for it, which is the sign of a mature artist. After he had realized the shortcoming and pulled the baaj string slightly, everything was as it should have been. The tablist showed his talent too. They should both get together more often.

Wah subhanallah amazing Adnan bhai you just placed yourself amongst the Top Sitar players of India, it makes me hopeful that my children would see good sitar playing for a long time. Keep up the good work and I pray for you to have a great health and sitar playing specially Amir sahib style of vocal bandishes.
