That depends of where do you live. In the USA they dont came with dana 44, however in Venezuela they did (front and rear). Also a 2 doors xj was available.
You may want to check again. Cherokees never came from the factory with 44 front axles, and only a few years came w/ rear 44's in the late 80's, and only those w/ the towing package did. The one in the video is a '98. If yours does indeed have front and rear 44's, then somebody put them under there from a different vehicle.
Now everybody just has quarter million dollar rigs that walk on everything. Much cooler back in the day when it was ghetto and everybody was kind of experimenting.
It's crazy how much off-roading has evolved just in the last couple of decades. I took my Jeep back to Moab last week for the first time since 2009 and was blown away by how many more RZRs/side-by-side/buggy type of vehicles there were everywhere instead of Broncos, Jeeps, Xterras, FJ Cruisers, etc. I loved the days of building up your daily driver Jeep and pushing it to the limits, then driving it to work on Monday. Even now, my XJ is no longer my daily, but I still try to find opportunities to take it off of the pavement.
these 4.0 liter straight 6's have power. I have a jeep like this, and I stomped the gas pedal and I took off burning out, and I have 2 15s heavy as hell in the back
haha yeaaa.. not everything in 4x4ing is pure adrenaline, sometimes as in this vid its just to see if you can do it. other times, it is adrenaline, my gf has fainted, out cold, in my passanger seat before, if it was tame and mellow i dont think that would have happend.. granted i did drive off a cliff, down a steep mountainside, and.. the truck was picking up speed at a somewhat alarming rate... but it was fun =)
@the1csandoval1 Just go to Google and type in "differential locker." You'll find out a lot more doing that than what I can tell you on here. Good luck.
what the hell are you talking about the rock is fine. Look at the rock around it all clean it doesnt do anything to the place. You should be thankful people put trails like this so people wont go and trash everywhere.
Nonsense, he is clearly locked front and rear (a must for just about everything in Moab). And you wouldn't try dump bump with any other suv's? Why? 4runners and Land Cruisers do it all the time. Nice XJ b.t.w.!
please, if you get the time, check out the video i made about jeeps it's freaking AMAZING, you WILL NOT be dissapointed. i think it deserves more views!
lmao...theres a reason its called rock crawling, let some air out, approach incline, then CRAWL up the fuckin rock, lol. maybe its me but i dont see any technique here...
toyota. lol nothing personal but jeeps aren't the best thing ever. This is coming from a jeep guy btw. I love jeeps but jeep fanboys piss me off. jeeps aren't the greatest wheeling cars ever made. They are one of the top stock wheeling cars (basing off experience) but i have seen lifted yotas can out wheel jeeps too so it's not so much the vehicle as it is the mods.
Thing I learned about a vehicle, it can do just about anything, you just have to know what it needs! Kick ass job!
That depends of where do you live. In the USA they dont came with dana 44, however in Venezuela they did (front and rear). Also a 2 doors xj was available.
It has a lockright locker in the front and an OX locker in the rear. It has an 8" skyjacker lift w/ custom long arms and 33" tires.
That's a fun little spot. Air down a little more and with that wheelbase it'll walk right up.
8" skyjacker lift with custom long arm setup, 33" tires, front and rear dana 44 axles, ox locker in rear, lockright locker in front.
Great Job!
back when Dump Bump was stil open... : (
Nice wheelin' That front wheel looked a little choppy at first, I thought somethin' was gonna give up there.
DONT STOP BELEIVING do do do do
HOLD ON TO THAT FEELING
Ouch with all that wheel wobble in the front left thought something was going to snap
Jeep Cherokee Makes it look easy Like always!

Awesome XJ man!! Great Video too!! do you think if u let some air out of those tires it would help u get more bite?
that's awesome!
Nice!
Sweeeeeeeet. Nice video.
beautiful xj bro. stock axles?

He is crazy!!!!!!!
@boattguy nevermind I looked it up d30 in the front d35 in the rear.
How much of a lift is that? I just bought a 4 1/2 lift today i havnt installed it yet, but ur jeep is real nice
these 4.0 liter straight 6's have power. I have a jeep like this, and I stomped the gas pedal and I took off burning out, and I have 2 15s heavy as hell in the back
muy buena camioneta
Yes!
Ahh. You'd be playing Russian roulette putting a D35 through that!
what do you recomend for a 1990 limeted cherokee i just got it so i dont know much
Were is moab located? like state? Arizona?
Fun times!
Jeep es Jeep! lo mejor en 4x4
I THINK I CAN I THINK I CAN
haha yeaaa.. not everything in 4x4ing is pure adrenaline, sometimes as in this vid its just to see if you can do it. other times, it is adrenaline, my gf has fainted, out cold, in my passanger seat before, if it was tame and mellow i dont think that would have happend.. granted i did drive off a cliff, down a steep mountainside, and.. the truck was picking up speed at a somewhat alarming rate... but it was fun =)
do they make rocker patch panels for a 91 jeep cherokee
super
what size lift and tires??
8" life w/ 33" tires. It's my buddy's Jeep, not mine.
4.0 leter? stright 6
run to the hills, good tires
Sounded like a walrus barking. lol
what size lift and tires?
burnin some rubber
did he need new tires after this?
sounds like a dying seal but badass
@jlattin21 what tires !!!! ????
ya i agree u need less tire pressure
@jlattin21 am 17 and just got a jeep, and i know nothing about locker, can you tell me a littel bit about them?
sounds like a bunch of sea lions lol.. and yes i'm stoned
@ilikestuff6619 Lower those tires around 10 to 8 psi
@boattguy I thought my 90 had a D30?
YEAHHH!!!! boy! small boy n stuff! , but Fuck Yes!
my stock Disco I would make it up in half the time, in high range
Nah. Front dana 44 from a wagoneer and a rear 44 from a scout.
you should know that when observing you can see things that the driver can't
that was painful!
if i can't walk up it then its impressive
@the1csandoval1 Just go to Google and type in "differential locker." You'll find out a lot more doing that than what I can tell you on here. Good luck.
Air those tires down to 12 psi and that would have made it easier
Tires, try letting the pressure out and then controlling the wheel spin better.........not to mention learning how to pick lines.
should let some air out of the tires
I can eventually make it in my subaru
خوووش شيروكي
looks like tires are not very grippy.
Car is fine, tire pressure looks fine, driver needs more experience for off road
Lord, no need to break the tires....
Just get some Wrangler MT/R's, Lockers, and a 4:1 Transfer Case.... OR just get a Rubicon baby!
and now back down. hahaha
lmfao you would think
wow there nothing that jeep cant do its a real off reader nice
Only thing that can beat a jeep is a Volvo C303.I have a c303 and a cherokee and the jeep has no chanse against the c303
haha there goes tire 4 new ones cost's bout 350$
what the hell are you talking about the rock is fine. Look at the rock around it all clean it doesnt do anything to the place. You should be thankful people put trails like this so people wont go and trash everywhere.
$350 for tires maybe for a Ford Fiesta dude. More like $1000
LOL that sound like a crying dogg lool.. xD
Would have went right up it with a good driver.
Someone Needs Lockers And Less Tire Pressure. And Some New Tires
a hummer wouldt do that because of the large wheelbase
Is this the entirely white jeep? Sweet. All these trash talkers should actually wheel their rigs at that same spot before telling you what to do!
Nonsense, he is clearly locked front and rear (a must for just about everything in Moab). And you wouldn't try dump bump with any other suv's? Why? 4runners and Land Cruisers do it all the time. Nice XJ b.t.w.!
those tires suck! great jeep thou i have the same just black.
lol
please, if you get the time, check out the video i made about jeeps it's freaking AMAZING, you WILL NOT be dissapointed. i think it deserves more views!
Jeep>land rover
Can't say that I know a Tyson. Sorry.
Who cares if it "destrioid" your tires its all for fun
only in a 0|||||0
Trash those tires, and get some MT/R's.
HAHAH Sounds like all you can afford is a board... LOL maybe you need to ask your mommy for a bigger allowance!
lmao...theres a reason its called rock crawling, let some air out, approach incline, then CRAWL up the fuckin rock, lol. maybe its me but i dont see any technique here...
my stock xj could do that easy...
