Thank you so much for using an Arccaptain machine once again! This is part of our new series, and we hope you enjoy it. We are always striving to create products that better suit our users. If you encounter any issues while using it, please feel free to reach out.
Thanks for supporting guys like Fitze. He does a nice job of showing the machine. That’s good advertising value. I’m more likely to skip a placement ad but I know Ftze’ll give us the straight poop.
That plasma cutter is a very handy thing to have. One day I might get myself one. At the moment, I use an angle grinder to do what you just did. The plasma cutter is definitely a better proposition than using oxy acetylene, being a way cheaper option and running on electricity and air instead of having to have bottles and buy gas.
Awesome video, I just turned in 2-empty tanks of ( oxygen & accelteline ) old contracts that were 10 years old ( from my deceased father, ) back to the local welding supply, now that I have a dedicated 220 plug for my MIG welder, I’ll be getting a plasma cutter. Thanks for the tip, I’ll be looking at the Arccaptain unit. Keep it up. 👍👌😎
You reduced that bulk quickly! Saves alot of grinding wheels, am sure you'll follow up with utility usage. Your presentation is a win for you, customers and Arcaptain. Well done Tony!
Haha! I thought for sure Fitzee would open the packaging with an angle grinder and he would have slapped a dust cover together out of office shelving...pretty disappointed with that part. 😊 Otherwise, sweet little plasma cutter.
I remember using air-arc rods back in the seventies and early eighties. So much noise, smoke, and flying slag! Things sure have improved. The twenty-first century has arrived😊
Hey Tony! Look at you go! It's just like Santa came early....and you're opening up your presents. Can't wait to put it together, plug it it and cut something up.
Looks like a great little machine and to cut the 3/4 inch material and to it seemed like it was having no problem that was impressive. Can’t wait to see you using on some of your projects and doing more of accurate cuts, but I would say it looks pretty good so far. Later
I was thinking engine test stand base frame section with that perfectly squared box tubing. But hey, that’s just me. Great product review, I didn’t think it would make it through the 3/4” section, but it did!
The difference between the men and the boys is the price of their toys... Nice presentation, Tony. I wish you lots of fun and time reduction when you use it. Stick around...
Well done. Much simpler than the oxy/fuel torches. It’s amazing how compact these electric machines are now. I learned cutting with oxy /fuel with giant tanks, a big brass torch and a big heavy smock.
Good point with the bottles. I still own my own tanks and probably will not sell them, but that plasma takes up less room. It is getting me thinking now.
Nice unit. plasma cutters are great tools. They do like clean dry air or it's hard on the consumables. I wonder if Canadian tire will notice a drop in sales of the cut off wheels? LOL
I bought a plasma cutter from Princess Auto. Handy little machine for rough cutting out bigger chunks. Super handy for rough cuts. Disadvantage mainly is if you want a clean cut for welding you have to clean it up any way so often just use the grinder. Still a super handy time saver I. Many cases.
I've got two plasma cutters ,one is a Lotus it lasted one cut ,nice looking machine, has plasma arc ? i think that's what it's called , but its junk, Warranty is outta sight as in when its out of their sight its over and done as far as they are concerned bought a Jegs cheapy cuts good , they are handy as a shirt pocket , keep the vids coming Fitz
Thanks for the show and tell, Tony. I was just thinking that your Arccaptain welder is coming up on a year old, and I was curious if you were still happy with it. What does the plasma cutter do with your typical 18 gauge, if you turn the current right down? 👍
I have one that I use on 120 volts most of the time. You just have to watch the power setting and do smaller work or you pop the breaker. Perfect for up to around 1/8" steel that way. Getting into thick plate metal, I need to go VERY slow or find the heavier power.
Got me a plasma cutter. Questions I have. ---- How do you know what amp service I need? --- How concerned should I be about "air drying"; __ it appears you just set it on Max amps and a moderate air pressure and you got very acceptable cuts; is it really that simple. Thanks for the demo
I have done a bunch of body fabrication with steel up to around 0.070" without issue. If you move quickly, you can almost use a cardboard template without it catching fire. Normally I keep a few small pieces of angle or channel to clamp down as a guide on straight cuts.
@@georgebettiol8338 Yes it does. He showed us the other cord while unpacking. I have another brand and it will run at half power all day on 120 volts, which is enough for most body work and light stock. (less than 1/8")
I find they are very handy but for heating a bolt or nut that is seized, then the torches are so handy and your able to save a expensive product that if to buy might cost twenty bucks or more... every tool has its benefits and places to be used. Your shop should never run across many things like this in fabrication.
The scam run by the gas providers is insane! You can't get your privately owned bottles refilled now. ALL bottles must be leased at an insanely high price. And then you have the cost of the gas! The average guy can't have an oxy-acetylene rig any longer. I've had torches in my shop over 50 years but no longer. You can use oxy- propane but the average guy won't use it enough to justify the expense.
Good Job Tony. Always make everything interesting. Great Little machine too.

@@andynicoll8566 totally agree with you. Fitzee talks straight and truthful. 👍
Arccaptain makes really nice equipment! Their machines are the only ones I use over on my channel.
Really nice review you did here.

That's a fine machine.

After you did the demo on the Mig200 and liked it, I bought one. I guess I will have to buy one of these too.
now ya need a cnc plasma table Tony . they are fantastic on cutting shapes and patterns.

Thats a handy addition to the tool box.
Nice looking plasma cutter, great review Tony
Wishing the algorithm all the best. Hope it helps the Flip Side.
I'll second this.
Great addition Tony, it also seems to me to be a much safer option than using the zip wheels👍

I have the tig 200p great machine. Peddle sucks and so does the customer service when trying to get it replaced.
😁 Thanks Tony good show I'v used mine a bit works good saves gas and time.

Nice little machine
Nice little plasma cutter.
ArcCaptain seems to have good products. This doesn't have a cheap look to it at all. Seems like you could count on it being useable for years to come.
Pretty slick unit!

Don’t forget to put the dust cover on! ☺️☺️❤️🇦🇺
works as good as my $4000 miller plasma cutter.
If its possible Tony will make a cnc table soon
Thanks Tony 👍💪✌
Sheeite Fitz, like a hot knife through butter! Never seen that at Princess Auto, lol, how much and where?
Hey Tony, another great video. Do you have your air run through a dryer? Thanks Donald
WISH THEYWOULD SEND ME A UNIT
My question is. What will it do when hooked into 110? I don't have a 220
Thanks for the show and tell, Tony. I was just thinking that your Arccaptain welder is coming up on a year old, and I was curious if you were still happy with it. What does the plasma cutter do with your typical 18 gauge, if you turn the current right down? 👍
I'll have to do some more tests and see
Nice. I would need to run on 110.

where is it made?
What happened to your work bench? How did you do it? I've tried many times, but I just can't get it to look like yours.
How fo I keep it clean?? Lol
Its a mystery for sure 🤣

Yes it is that simple. If your looking for no slag it will have to be fine tuned.
Nice video, very informative. I was wondering how it will do on sheet metal? Too much heat or can that be controlled?
Need to do some more test with it

Flip it to us!
how is ya Tony . hope your well and doing great restoration .
Should have shown how it does with 110 volt hook up
That model doesn't operate on 110V.
@@georgebettiol8338 Yes it does. He showed us the other cord while unpacking. I have another brand and it will run at half power all day on 120 volts, which is enough for most body work and light stock. (less than 1/8")
What does one of those babies cost?? Maybe I missed it...🤔
Depends where your from. I don't like adding prices as it varies from country to country
