For real. I saw this title in my recommended and my first thought was "if you need a video to convince you why a 1 year old top-of-the-line phone is worth keeping..." Consumerism is absolutely crazy these days. I'm a little guilty of indulging in it myself, since I tend to upgrade around the 3 year mark (curse you carrier trade-in promotions), but these things can easily last more than a few years. I won't lie, nowadays I wish I had gone with the 12 mini instead of the 12 pro because I would have really liked that form factor and I would've had no inclination whatsoever to upgrade to the 15 series (please Apple bring the mini back, I beg you)
I have really enjoyed my 15 Pro so far. I've had it since January and my battery health is still at 100% and I love the camera and screen. I have to admit, the battery life isn't that much better than the 13 mini I upgraded from, but I get through a full day no problem - even if only just barely. I'll probably hang on to the 15 Pro for another year or two.
Am watching this video 4 days after i upgraded from my 13 pro, for first impression, the phone has a lot of changes but my most loved among all is the weight just love the way the titanium frames significantly reduces the weights it just made my 13 pro feel like a rock when holding it 😂
Incredible battery life after more than a year of owning this phone. Great speed 95% of the time depending on internet connection. Only issue I have is the flash for the camera at night tends to white wash the image instead of focusing. It’s like they wanted the flash to be on for less time to take faster pictures but the camera doesn’t focus fast enough. But most pictures during the day are amazing. Not to mention iOS 18 is coming out soon with Apple intelligence coming to the 15 Pro models which is awesome. Can’t really complain at all.
Going to be getting myself a 15 Pro. There’s not much of a drop in price, but I’m also hoping to upgrade my iPad Mini if Apple actually give us a new version. Thanks for the content.

I am on the 14 pro max and debating keeping it another year and waiting for the 17. The 16 is tempting, but not enough of a change to push me over the edge.
My wife's 15 Pro is going pretty great. Super smooth device overall. She got it in January and last I checked her battery health was still 100% and she charge limits it to 80% each night. I'm just glad she's not dealing with awful battery life anymore like she had with her 12 Pro. As for me, my 13 Pro is my trusty device that I refuse to let go.
Honestly my 15PM has been so good to me that it’s kind of boring lol. But that’s good because it means I don’t have to worry about it you feel me? No hiccups regardless of what I throw at it, battery still lasts me a day and a half at 92 percent health and 414 cycles. USB-C helps with that too because I can charge damn near anywhere if I need to. Cameras are great - in fact I basically run my optical shops social media account straight from it. USB-C (finally) and the weight reduction have been great to have. I’m happy with it overall. Can’t wait to see the what the 17 line brings.
I used optimized charging, going up to 100%, charging wired, just sometimes wireless, especially MagSafe battery pack and after 200 cycles it dropped to 99%.
Have my 16 Pro Black Ti 256gb coming Friday, upgrading from 14 Pro. I’m really happy with the slight size bump, 6.3” should be perfect - the Max is just too unwieldy IME
I think the biggest change in 16 Pro compared to 15 Pro is different, better process called N3E used to manufacture the processor. Thanks to this processor is more energy efficient, battery life should be better (it could also impact thermal environment of battery in some way, positively of course, so that degradation of battery is not happening that fast) side note: I checked once 16 Pro in shop, and to be honest I didn't even notice the new camera button... I think it would not be really useful for me.
I seriously consider buying 15pro max instead of 16pro max. I believe 15 pro max size has perfect size and do not have camera control button which is unnecessary. Additionaly it is about 150$ cheaper though.
KE, I agree completely about the possibility of the features of the new camera control being implemented through software. What's confusing to me is, so this new control can allow us to quickly change f stop or shutter speed. Does that mean those controls will be built into the stock camera app even if you are not accessing them through the camera control? I would love to be able to change those. I do trust the camera to take the best picture possible under most circumstances, but if I know i am shooting a fast moving subject on a bright day (i.e. my kid playing an outdoor sport), I can crank up the shutter speed. Or if I want nature background blur for a closer subject, I can crank open the aperture rather than relying solely on Apple's edge detection in portrait mode. I have a 15 pro max, and I have upgraded year over year in the past, but I don't feel compelled to do so this year, especially because it is about time I replace my Mac (when the M4 Macs are released) and Apple Watch (which I ordered the larger Watch 10), and those upgrades are going to be much more meaningful to me personally than the slight improvements the 16 pro offers over the 15 pro/pro max. I understand Apple holding features back for the new products, and I can't complain too much about that since it it a smart move on their part -- it's just that f stop and shutter speed are such basic camera controls that they really should be brought to the stock app to previous phones as well.....
The only complaint I have about mine is the fact that the battery is already at 88%. I'm really hoping that the 16 gives the battery life and health that the 13 pro provided.
Because the 15 Pro's battery is smaller than the 15 Pro Max's, with all variables the same, including SOT, the smaller Pro battery health will degrade about 33% faster. Assuming you are using a Pro, the Pro Max would still be at around 92% health. For heavy users, I recommend the Pro Max despite it not being your perfect size. If you can stop charging at 80%, that will double the health, so 88% would be 94% on the Pro. You may have to charge more often, but it is worth it to keep the maximum SOT for the whole year, and even more useful if you keep it for 2-5 years.
same bro im on exactly 88% too, i dont play games on my phone I genuinely use it for just social media and chatting apps, i use only apple chargers too and keep it above 30% and its still at 88%
I have a 15 pro. This year has been the most underwhelming release I can remember…I have zero desire to trade my phone in until they do a major redesign. Ridiculous that the 16 pro literally looks almost identical to a 12 pro.
Looks the similar but I came from the 12 pro max to th 16 pm and it looks ancient in comparison especially with the notch and thicker bezels. Also the upgrades are night and day in many ways, there’s literally hardly anything they could do to redesign besides going back to the round edges or changing the camera set up lol what kind of major redesign do phones need these days? They’re at their peak yall are just bored of it.

I got this a week back instead of the 16 pro coz they are literally the same phones.. but it’s 300$ cheaper here and that’s a lot just for a button and maybe an hr or 2 extra battery time.. I have a charger handy mostly so I am okay with a little less screen time.. It’s a great phone and 16 pro is like so similar that you can’t justify putting in extra 300 for it..!
The iPhone 16 Pro and the base iPhone 16 get significant upgrades, which probably explains the pre-order metrics: sales of the base models have substantially increased, while Pro Max orders have dropped 12%. I certainly recommend buyers pay the extra for the 16 Pro over the 15 Pro, based on the c.20% improvement in battery life alone. Add in the new 48mp ultrawide and 5X zoom, as well as the camera button, and the cameras get a big update. Faster wired (45-watt) and wireless charging are also available. WiFi 7 and the latest Bluetooth are available. Stronger glass. Very snappy N3E chip. New cooling. The latest X850 modem, explicitly made for 5G (as on the S24U), has better efficiency. The new OLED panels last longer and use less energy. 120FPS recording. I am sure there are more that I have missed. If you can, choose to pay more for the 16 Pro model than the 15 Pro.
If only iPhone 16 Pro had major updates, maybe larger sensor for the telephoto camera & upgraded to 48 MP as well & latest smart HDR, & improvement in lowlight, & minimized over-sharpening in photos & brighter sustain brightness in bright environment without dimming & option for not using HDR effect in photos in default setting, I would probably upgrade. But for now the 15 pro is good enough
The 15 Pro is definitely better than the 16 regular. I’m a 15 Pro Max user, I’m kind happy Apple didn’t give the 16 regulars ProMotion and 10Gbps port, otherwise that will be a huge middle finger to the users of previous Pro models.
I guess we have the same problem. Wifi signals suck and carrier signals also suck. My android phones always have full signals. Never had full bars on the iPhone.
@@theorgazoid4918 really? Then why does my android phone still have a wifi signal that I can use when my iPhone can't even find a wifi signal to latch on to. Carrier signals I can understand coz my iPhone came from the US and I live in Asia. But wifi?
96%??? Mine is 89% (342 cycle count ) after a year and I'm not a heavy game user... tiktok maybe but thats about it. I also do that 80% optimize thing also.
Huh 235 cycles and 100% battery health. Been charging up to 80% in exception for a week. I don’t use MagSafe just 7.5w wireless charger. Maybe heat degrades it faster?
Yes, looking at Apple's website, it is clear that heat will degrade the battery faster and that charging only to 80% will double the life of your battery. Take simple precautions, and your battery will last. It is like anything: You look after it, and it will look after you. Creators upgrade every year, so it is not as important, but those watching should understand that doing some housekeeping will negate battery health degradation.
Question: I have a 15 pro, and only problem or coplain I have is where taking photos in the "RAW Max" setting, from the photos app, the photos look great, however whenever uploading them to another app (even with optimized uploading/import settings.) However, whenever I export photos / upload them to social media, the photos seem similar, but have a decently noticeable difference, in terms of imagine smoothing, quality, but mainly in my case, the photos that i upload in Raw Max become very grainy or poorly textured. This has been a huge problem for me, as the only reason i upgraded (outside of needing a new battery for my 12) was for the photo quality, increased Megapixels, etc.
The battery is very small on the 15 Pro and I would not recommend that phone to power users. Get the Pro Max if you are a heavy user, as it is the battery champ versus S24U and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
@@chirag6283 I went with the 16 Pro max this time and the battery life has been excellent. Looking at all the phone comparisons it seems like the 15 Pro was the worst iPhone in years for battery life.

looking forward to the camera button on the iphonen16 . Are bulk mirrorless or dslrs still relevant for the average photographer
I think that apple did too little this year and that it'll show in the sales numbers.
Wow super nice video
The 15 Pro is definitely better than the 16 regular. I’m a 15 Pro Max user, I’m kind happy Apple didn’t give the 16 regulars ProMotion and 10Gbps port, otherwise that will be a huge middle finger to the users of previous Pro models.
Bro, how can u only charged to 80% ??? Can your phone last a whole day long without charging again ?
I guess we have the same problem. Wifi signals suck and carrier signals also suck. My android phones always have full signals. Never had full bars on the iPhone.
Bars don’t tell the full story. One bar on iPhone could be 2 bars on a Samsung.
@@theorgazoid4918 really? Then why does my android phone still have a wifi signal that I can use when my iPhone can't even find a wifi signal to latch on to. Carrier signals I can understand coz my iPhone came from the US and I live in Asia. But wifi?
@@victorlu2313 must be faulty
From where you get that wallpapers?
The only thing I don’t like about my 15 pro max is the battery. Down to 88 percent. After 6 months. Ugh😢
This dude looks and sounds like he could be Linus from Tech Tips cooler brother 😂. I have the IPhone 15PM as well. I feel no need to upgrade 💯
I'm actually his dad
@@KyleErickson 😂😂🤣🤣😭😭
Iphone 15 pro is a great device, even over the iphone 16 pro!
So what would be a better option for recording now? Blackmagic or Final cut video app?
I'm getting the 16 pro and hopefully the battery life is good. Also do ya'll like the colour white?
Question: I have a 15 pro, and only problem or coplain I have is where taking photos in the "RAW Max" setting, from the photos app, the photos look great, however whenever uploading them to another app (even with optimized uploading/import settings.)
However, whenever I export photos / upload them to social media, the photos seem similar, but have a decently noticeable difference, in terms of imagine smoothing, quality, but mainly in my case, the photos that i upload in Raw Max become very grainy or poorly textured. This has been a huge problem for me, as the only reason i upgraded (outside of needing a new battery for my 12) was for the photo quality, increased Megapixels, etc.
I just got mine
why does yours have a sim slot? where did you buy it from?
Thank you
I think 16 pro is too big,
I plan to use my 15 Pro 2 years, I love it.
I’m upgrading my 15 Pro because of one reason. The battery life is terrible.
Same here😂
Same here too
The battery is very small on the 15 Pro and I would not recommend that phone to power users. Get the Pro Max if you are a heavy user, as it is the battery champ versus S24U and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
how much is the battery life? Is it sufficient for a normal user?
@@chirag6283 I went with the 16 Pro max this time and the battery life has been excellent. Looking at all the phone comparisons it seems like the 15 Pro was the worst iPhone in years for battery life.
On 15 pro only upgraded from 12 pro max cause I dropped it and it smashed
Does it have the camera button 🙂
Where do u find these people posting there battery health pics I have a 15 pro and wanna compare
iPhone 15 pro max is worth it❤
i'm on gen2 SE 256GB .. i'm going for the 16 pro-max. Since i'm already on 256Gb and using 50% on a phone with a awful camera i'm thinking of jumping to 1TB instead of 512GB.. i'm thinking if i plan to keep it at least 5yr the hell with that extra 200 euro..i'm going to transfer all my data from current phone to the new. So i'm going to loose at least 128Gb..
imagine upgrading a flagship phone every year.
What is the wallpaper of the iPhone in the thumbnail ?
"still Worth Keeping", "still doing it's job", you guys are crazy, this is 1 year old model, why wouldn't it doing good? Until yesterday I was rocking with my XR and I was just fine, until my wife bought me 15 Pro.
Modem is trash. Wifi is great. In my experience with it.
Unfortunately I have to keep upgrading I am 85% battery capacity on my pro max.
Has anyone switched from an Android to Apple and experienced the bad wifi connectivity issue? I used to have far better connection when I was using a Oneplus7 Pro previously.
Not only wifi. Carrier signal is also pretty bad.
Pls shot Day in life with apple watch 10
You truly got your money's worth from this phone, didn't you? You probably made like five hundred videos off of it. It was definitely worth keeping for you lol. That said, good video. Thank you.
Where can i get that wallpaper plz?

88% battery health with 330 charge cycles, i sold my 12 pro max with 610 charge cycles and 94% battery life, horrible battery experience with this phone personally.
How u checked the charging cycles ?
