I recently purchased my new iPhone 15 Pro Max about 2 weeks ago and it was manufactured in July 2024. I look forward to using it for a long time and I am glad to see that I get the longevity from the Apple Intelligence amongst other things. I appreciate long-term reviews as it gives me an idea of how a phone will work over time, including what pros and cons to expect.
Aweosme your in for a treat for the longer term. This phone holds up well in all areas, I recommend a case, though, as the back can crack easily if hit on the right corner
@@nickackermanchannel I have the Tech 21 Evo Check with Flexshock. It helps with the grip tremendously. Has even survived my baby girl slapping the phone out of my hand as I was showing her a cartoon on PBS Kids, landing onto a tile floor just yesterday, LOL.

I was showing my baby girl a show on PBS Kids app and in her excitement she slapped it out of my hand, which the phone landed on tile from chair height. Survived the fall and we kept watching lol. The cameras are great. I have a couple of my favorite new photos ever, which I used the 5x camera and added portrait in post.
Love mine, super smooth and the battery is still awesome. Just went to Disney World and was able to use the tap feature on my phone and watch instead of using the cards or expensive additional Disney bands. I am looking forward to the 16 Pro Max tho, I made the leap a decade ago to purchase my phone in full and being able to trade it in each year and pay $400-$500 for a new one is nice.
@@CrisCheese_ Nah, something doesn't add up b/c WA autocorrect is just on it. Signal will rewrite entire sentences leaving your original text illegible to the recipient. And iMessage will do the same, and that's off a Mac keyboard b/c I run a Mac for computing but Samsung/Android for a phone & use Gboard on the phone. Have contemplated returning to iPhone for the ecosystem & ease of content creation but I just find Samsung superior to Apple for handsets. And like another commenter on here, I find Gboard superior to iPhone's keyboard.
The battery size isn’t going to be a huge improvement though by the looks of it. Maybe another 40 minutes of extra battery life…My regular 15 Pro barely gets 5-6 hours of screen on time with a few features turned off like Always On Display and Background Refresh.
I’m don’t think so, the 16 Pro Max has always been and always will be the star of the show with the new features coming to the Pro Max first, not everyone prefers the smaller iPhone Pro models and i include myself in that, the regular pro model iPhones are too small for me, bigger is always better for me, longer battery life, more screen real estate.
The upgrades on the 15 Pro Max are enough and up-to-date compared to future generation iPhones. Type C, Titanium, Action button, Dynamic island. Totally worth it!
I’m at 95% with 259 charge cycles. I do let my battery drain down to 10% or less sometimes 😂. But phone is still holding strong. And I got it at launch too!
My battery routine is... I turn low battery mode when in work. Then i turn back 120hz when i use during breaks. And 120hz when i use all along in the house
I bought my iPhone 15 Pro Max on launch day, and it has been the second worst phone I've ever owned. The battery life is worse than that of my previous 12 Pro Max; it’s a complete disaster - I have to charge it twice a day. I even took it to Apple, and they said the phone was in perfect condition. The device feels much more fragile, and it also gets very hot, even though I don’t use it for gaming. The only things I like about it are the 120Hz screen and the maximum brightness. I find the Dynamic Island more irritating than the notch; when watching videos or movies in a 21:9 format, it is far more distracting.
The stainless steel on the iPhone 12PM has been nearly flawless for me after the last 4 years. It held its smoothness even after countless hikes, trail runs, and several drops on gravel paths (in its case/screen protector of course). I thought it was great despite it picking up fingerprints quite easily. I wonder how yours acquired so many scratches? Would you wash the case regularly to clean away any debris?
Nick You need to also reveiw Vivo phones like top tier Vivo x100 series speedtest and so on We hope in future you add that smartphone also. Thanks also your hardwork for each video
Thank you for your feedback, however I don't have interest in covering phones that are officially aren't for sale in the US which is my primary market.
To be honest if i were you i would keep the 14 pro if its still working perfectly fine, or if you need a bigger space then consider upgrading, go for the 15 or 16 Pro Max, or unless if you want to wait a little longer why not go for the 17. I upgraded from a Samsung A13 which ive had from 2022 and just recently to a 15 Pro Max and i think it was a wise decision for me.

Still rocking my 15 PM decided to upgrade to the black AWU 2 instead. I remember when I had the 13 Pro feeling upset about the titanium finish. Thinking the stainless steel looked more premium. I wanted a bigger IPhone and usb c tho. After having the 15PM in black for some time. I love this phone and it looks sick! I rock it with a screen protector and no case. The only thing is I’m worried about scratches more since I didn’t get natural but I like black tech so I’ll deal with it 🤷🏽♀️Might get a D Brand skin. This is the best IPhone I ever had. The screen is amazing. Battery life is great. Still at 100% after 158 cycles, with a mix of wired and MagSafe charging. I have the 80% limit set. Just a great overall phone. I’ll be keeping it for awhile.
I brought my iPhone 15 Pro Max brand new on day one Sept 2023, my battery life is now at 84% capacity with 410 cycles, I’m still thinking either getting the 16 or just keeping my phone and getting a new battery
I have not been able to receive all my messages. Any advice on how to fix this? I’m wondering if something went wrong in the transferring process from my old phone to the new one. I’ve had this problem for a while now. Sometimes I won’t get messages when sent to me at all and sometimes I’ll get them much later than the person actually sent it.
@@mrq8829 Use your phone as much as you need to lol. Use any charging brick you want. Doesn't matter if it's Apple or non-Apple. Same with cable. You don't have to worry about charging your iPhone with a 20w+ brick either, as the phone will charge at its max charging speeds (in the case of iPhone, 20w).
As always very helpful review! Top smartphone, with some dissapointments. Battery not sth I was enthusiased at max 2 days with all battery saving preferences with much of the usage being on wifi with bluetooth on. Extremely dissapointing was that the back side with a spigen cover lost its colours on the back right edge side. Finally sth I am expecting to be corrected with new IOS major SW Release is the vibration which again is not very strong. Finally as u mentioned there are occassions where it crashes the app. In overall 8out 10 in my opinion given the price tag.

What really drained my battery life is updating to iOS 18 beta I was at 100% battery life with 90 charging cycles went down to 97% in a week now I'm still at 97% battery life with 180 charging cycles after almost 1 year
My iPhone 15 pro max’s battery went down to 90% in less than one year ( still 1 month left to complete 1 year ) of my use what can I do , can I get free exchange of my iPhone or any battery replacement !? Anyone knows it or do I need to buy a new battery
My last android phone was a Samsung Galaxy S4, I haven’t thought about getting another android since. But unfortunately, my 14 Pro Max gives me headaches. I think it’s the oled screen, so my favorite phone right now is my trusty iPhone SE 3 with an iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case. I hope there’s an alternative to oled or they figure out the pwn issue, or I won’t be upgrading for a while.
As far as apps go, 1st party apps will ALWAYS perform better on Apple devices. That’s exactly how they want it to be to encourage users to stick within the garden. The same can be said for note taking apps and the Apple Pencil on iPads. The Apple Pencil interacts much better within Notes than other 3rd party apps, and it’s by design. Nothing wrong with that, their device their rules, but it’s definitely not an accident.
@@zsoltszekely309214 Pro is way better than 15. 15 is literally the 14 Pro but with Usb C and without the third camera and 120Hz. I’d rather have 120Hz and telephoto camera than just usb C
Less? I have way over 100 cycles, this is my primary iPhone for the whole year, I took a few breaks to test the plus and pro. I also try hard to not not cycle this device.

In my experience, atleast regarding google drive, it works better on my iphone. When i download any image or video it downloads directly to my gallery in ios. But the same thing i do on my android, it will sometimes not show up in the gallery but the file manager. It is frustrating as my work is primarily from my phone and my android is the work phone as i thought it would work better with google apps. Idk if it is the os skin issue or what but it is annoying, i find ios more reliable in this regard.
Nick what’s going on with a pixel fold pro 9 video? I’m tired of all these last gen iPhone videos. Still love your videos but I would rather see some comparison of a fold 2 vs oneplus open vs Samsung galaxy fold 6… even better, would love to see some real foldable comparison like the vivo C fold 3 pro vs Honor 3, etc, etc. I’ve been watching a lot of videos of these global foldable phones from China and they are literally wiping the floor when it comes to how technologically advance they are compare to Google fold 2, Samsung, etc.

I’ve had 2 iPhone 15 pro Max, they both skip during videos, super annoying, overheat in the car and quit functioning correctly. Do not buy iPhone, the value for the price has gone WAY down
trust me this is cheap, we pay almost double in India even though most global units are now being made in India we get no discount at all and regardless, no iPhone is worth that much it essentially does the same as a mid range Android lol.
You are mistaken, pro and pro max models aren’t assembled in India. Only the base models are. That’s why you see base iPhones being priced fairly in India.
Also made and assembled are 2 entirely different things. India lacks the capability to ‘make’ iPhones in the sense of manufacturing them. All it’s capable of is assembling the already manufactured iPhone internal components into an iPhone. That’s why iPhones are still pricey since the internal components are heavily taxed.

I think Apple's control over their eco system is too restrictive. No apple watch with a Samsung phone or visa versa. And Samsung is guilty of this to as of recent. But that's Apple's deal. Nothing but apple products with Apple's products. I can use a one plus watch with a pixel, Samsung etc. A pixel watch with a Samsung etc. All that is what makes me gravitate to my S24+ or 24 Ultra. My 15PM sits in the night stand.
Yeah you are definitely not their target customer then which is okay and I get your point the universality of using different products, but there is also a point where when everything is tightly controlled it just works and very smooth and easy, makes life with tech easier sometimes even if less open
@@krskadavethe Apple ecosystem is better integrated because of it only being compatible with only Apple devices and that’s one of many reasons why nobody can match the Apple ecosystem, you’re not the target audience for Apple, but I personally prefer everything being consistent and cohesive and only Apple does that for me.

I use Google keyboard. Iphone has a terrible keyboard.

I think the 16 Pro well steal the show over the pro max this year 6.3 inches could be the perfect phone especially if battery life is improved

100% Battery health 151 charge cycles. Never used wireless charging and never let battery drop below 50. Best iPhone I ever owned!

hi, just started using 15 pro max want some suggestions on how to make the battery stay 100 for as long as possible like for a year ?
Use for only one hour a day
Recommended to charge to 80% max and charge at 20-30%, if not immediately unplug once it's 100%

My last android phone was a Samsung Galaxy S4, I haven’t thought about getting another android since.
But unfortunately, my 14 Pro Max gives me headaches. I think it’s the oled screen, so my favorite phone right now is my trusty iPhone SE 3 with an iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case.
I hope there’s an alternative to oled or they figure out the pwn issue, or I won’t be upgrading for a while.
Gonna upgrade from 13pro max to 16pro max 🙏 waited 3 years now

As far as apps go, 1st party apps will ALWAYS perform better on Apple devices. That’s exactly how they want it to be to encourage users to stick within the garden. The same can be said for note taking apps and the Apple Pencil on iPads. The Apple Pencil interacts much better within Notes than other 3rd party apps, and it’s by design. Nothing wrong with that, their device their rules, but it’s definitely not an accident.

@@zsoltszekely309214 Pro is way better than 15. 15 is literally the 14 Pro but with Usb C and without the third camera and 120Hz. I’d rather have 120Hz and telephoto camera than just usb C

Less? I have way over 100 cycles, this is my primary iPhone for the whole year, I took a few breaks to test the plus and pro. I also try hard to not not cycle this device.

They need to improve the swipe to text android is miles ahead I don’t need to be as accurate on my android while swiping to text as I do on my iPhone.
In my experience, atleast regarding google drive, it works better on my iphone. When i download any image or video it downloads directly to my gallery in ios. But the same thing i do on my android, it will sometimes not show up in the gallery but the file manager. It is frustrating as my work is primarily from my phone and my android is the work phone as i thought it would work better with google apps. Idk if it is the os skin issue or what but it is annoying, i find ios more reliable in this regard.

Nick what’s going on with a pixel fold pro 9 video? I’m tired of all these last gen iPhone videos. Still love your videos but I would rather see some comparison of a fold 2 vs oneplus open vs Samsung galaxy fold 6… even better, would love to see some real foldable comparison like the vivo C fold 3 pro vs Honor 3, etc, etc. I’ve been watching a lot of videos of these global foldable phones from China and they are literally wiping the floor when it comes to how technologically advance they are compare to Google fold 2, Samsung, etc.

trust me this is cheap, we pay almost double in India even though most global units are now being made in India we get no discount at all and regardless, no iPhone is worth that much it essentially does the same as a mid range Android lol.

You are mistaken, pro and pro max models aren’t assembled in India. Only the base models are. That’s why you see base iPhones being priced fairly in India.
Also made and assembled are 2 entirely different things. India lacks the capability to ‘make’ iPhones in the sense of manufacturing them. All it’s capable of is assembling the already manufactured iPhone internal components into an iPhone. That’s why iPhones are still pricey since the internal components are heavily taxed.

My IPhone 15 Pro Max has 99 cycles of battery and is still great just drop to 99% of battery health but the phone is still a beast.
My iPhone 15 pro max has 184 cycles and is still at 100%

iPhone 15 pro max had it since launch. 259 charge cycles and battery health is 95%. Best phone I have ever owned.
When my 15 pro max hit 259 cycles I will come back and update you. Right now it’s at 200 cycles and 100%

I think Apple's control over their eco system is too restrictive. No apple watch with a Samsung phone or visa versa. And Samsung is guilty of this to as of recent. But that's Apple's deal. Nothing but apple products with Apple's products. I can use a one plus watch with a pixel, Samsung etc. A pixel watch with a Samsung etc. All that is what makes me gravitate to my S24+ or 24 Ultra. My 15PM sits in the night stand.
Yeah you are definitely not their target customer then which is okay and I get your point the universality of using different products, but there is also a point where when everything is tightly controlled it just works and very smooth and easy, makes life with tech easier sometimes even if less open

@@krskadavethe Apple ecosystem is better integrated because of it only being compatible with only Apple devices and that’s one of many reasons why nobody can match the Apple ecosystem, you’re not the target audience for Apple, but I personally prefer everything being consistent and cohesive and only Apple does that for me.
