Went from an IPhone XR to the 15 pro max in Blue titanium. Obviously when comparing the 120 hz refresh rate to the 60 hz, the 15 feels way smoother and just more seamless and it’s just a way more powerful phone but that XR served me very well. One thing I liked about the XR more is that it never overheated whereas the 15 pro max has overheated multiple times

Yes it still happens. I have a 15 pro max blue titanium. It’s just the nature of having a partially titanium frame. Titanium doesn’t dicipate hotter than normal air that well when compared to an aluminum or stainless steel frame
this by far my fav iphone.... battery cycle count 146 still 100 capacity... runs smooth heating i havent much experience i didnt play games on my phone only social media email.....
@@crufayi Keep low power mode on at all times, turn off 120hz, turn off background app refresh, and keep your phone on dark mode. The battery will last 12-13 vs 7-8 hrs it’s insane. It also keeps the phone from even getting remotely warm. I have the iPhone 15 promax 100% battery with 130 cycle counts, 7 months old.
@ booo!! battery life is way more important, your eyes adjust, and iOS 18 makes 60hz a bit smoother lol but I get it, I’ve completely turned it off and haven’t looked back, it’s almost a 2 day phone now with moderate use. Good luck, keep a charger on you! 😂

I think Apple's updates are not the same like it was years before.. they are a lot more buggy! I'm enjoying my iPhone 15 Pro Max though.. maybe different batches.. I use the S24 plus and the Pixel 8 as well.. a lot of people around me with the iPhone 16 Pro are complaining about the recent updates with their phones though..
I can't even use Apple Intelligence. Simply switching Apple Intelligence on in settings makes my phone heat up uncomfortably already, making me unwilling to use Apple Intelligence features because I know heat just shreds battery life and health. Extremely frustrating. iPhone 15 Pro Max user here by the way.

I love how everyone is obsessed with the 13 mini but for the most part no one bought it! I’ve never seen a phone so beloved IN THEORY. The idea of the mini, having a smaller phone, it feels really good to pretend to want, that you can be a person that has a mini, but in practice no one actually wanted to own a mini phone. Simple as that. 😂
I just ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max after a decade of Samsung phones. The S10+ and S22+ left me extremely disappointed in the $1000+ phone category. Both the S10+ and S22+ have been the slowest, buggiest, and most frustrating phone experiences I have ever had since the launch of both. Both phones constantly run very hot, with my S10+ especially overheating while using wireless Android Auto in my car. Hopefully my experience is better with Apple.
My 15PM just turned one year old and I fully agree with the battery life, it’s great and I have no problem with it for a full day usage, it’s just it won’t last through a full day on occasional heavy days, and the heat really annoys me over time which I initially thought I wouldn’t care. Also my battery percentage was 94% 1 week before it turned 1 year old and dropped 3% in two days 🙄
After you drop off of 100% battery health, the number really tanks quick after that. It’s been a thing with iPhones for years…my IPhone XR I had before getting this 15 pro max went down in health pretty quick after it dropped from 100%
iPhone 15 Pro/Max is peak iPhone imo currently. The 16 Pro/Max adds nothing useful. This gets USBC which was a major feature. If they add TouchID back or reverse wireless charging then it would be a notable feature. You can pick up these phones for a good discount and lose noting really from the latest phone.
15 pro max is the best iphone for another year making the purchase much more valuable. Saying the 16s are incremental upgrades is an overstatement. Camera control seems gimmick and AI is a joke. 15pros get the same benefits with little to no sacrifice. That may mean the 17s are the actual incremental upgrades we'll see and the 18s are when the current holders would even consider. However, many just holds on to the phones these days because everything is just that good. Hopefully, apple brings something to the table worth talking about but I doubt you'll see any of the new software til 2027.

I’m a hobbyist photographer as well so 120hz or not I still get the proRAW feature, all of the pro camera features that allows this to be a back up to my dslr without draining the battery tremendously, I still get the processing power, I still get the larger screen, I still get the console level retracing and game play abilities, it’s still a pro phone, different features matter to different ppl. The hype around 120hz is honestly overblown lmao the battery drain is not worth “ooo smooth scroll for Twitter” I’m not broke, money isn’t everything. I can turn off a feature without feeling like I have to squeeze every penny to get my money’s worth lol the features I use are what actually matters. Frame rate is really towards the very bottom of those pro features I care about. Stop being a dork. Lol

Touch ID on the home button is one really beautiful feature. Makes logging in your phone so fast
One of the features I enjoy on my Samsung phone is the fingerprint sensor is behind the screen. One of the few good things I have on this phone.

The first use date on my phone is December 2023 and mines at around the same as yours…93% health after 302 battery cycles
