God leads me to pray first and to get even closer to Him through Christ. It's still difficult to look at the world but God's promises are what keeps me grounded. We all need God and my daily prayer is for every heart to be overcome by the revelation of Christ's love and our need for God in our lives. Some of us have known God for a long time but we need a refreshing revelation that God's faithfulness is still faithful. I am so thankful for Jesus! Blessings to all brothers and sisters in Christ and for those who don't believe, please give Jesus a chance before you throw away the possibility of God in your life. Amen!
This is very comforting to me because as a former coach for host team LC. MWC I really falt like I was letting God done. My husband and I were Life group leaders and we found Ourselves shutting that down as well. We started going to the Edmond campus and just trying to refuel so to speak. I know that the church doesn't exist for us because we are the church and we exist for the world. But I really feel right now that I need the church. Just pray that we can find those things that refuel us so that we can continue to fight the good fight. ❤
Felt I was taken for granted because the mission to go on during the pandemic was more important than people. I quit that organization. Thank you for reminding me that people had to go through a lot this pandemic. I should give myself a pat on the back. Now its time to refill

Craig, first of all let me tell you thank for the gift of leadership that you are to so many young leaders! My name is Graeme, and I serve as an associate pastor in a United Methodist Church in the Tulsa Metro. I personally can’t wait for the drop of new podcasts from your leadership channel, and check frequently to see if their are bonus episodes 😂 suppose I should subscribe to know when 😂 When listening to this months leadership episode, I felt prompted to respond to thank you for addressing the tough questions of leadership, and share the hope I have for leading out a crisis. When the Pandemic began, there was a challenge to who I was as a leader. What was my purpose? What was my calling? How would I fulfill that role while social distancing, sheltering in place, shutting the church doors, and responding to crisis. There was a deep inward dive into the core of my soul, and how would I pivot to lead in new capacities. This deep internal dive, prepared me to help lead our team, and invest where our organization needed my leadership most. I pivoted my focus and responsibilities to 40% pastoral care, 40% leadership development, and the remaining 20% to the other tasks which might require my attention. A majority of this focus was on our team, and how could I help them adapt, change, and pivot the ever changing landscape of the local church and ministry during a pandemic. It has been over two years now since I shifted my focus and leadership. I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is what I was created for. Though leading through a crisis was challenging, and leading out of it at times seems overwhelming. I believe there are endless opportunities to breathe the fresh wind of the Spirit of God, and see Jesus use the local church to be a beacon of hope… a light out of the crisis. To be this light out of this crisis it will require stepping into new opportunities that are foreign and unknown… but if we choose to step into these opportunities. I firmly believe we will be the light in our communities, our cities, our states, our nations, our world. Opportunities of Leading out of Crisis Leading out of crisis gives us the opportunity to “actually” depend on God’s presence and power in our leadership over our own finite skills. Leading out of crisis gives us opportunities to learn new technical ways automate our leadership. Leading out of crisis gives us opportunities to reinvent ourselves, our teams, and our organizations. Leading out of crisis gives us opportunities to empower, mobilize, and lead a new generation of leaders who are not bound to the phrase “that’s how we have always done it”. To empower a generation to help establish the church in the hearts and minds of future generations through creative and new expressions. Leading out of crisis opens up opportunities to take unlimited risks that would not have taken place in the crisis, or before the crisis, for fear of rocking the boat.
