Fun Fact: In 2016, Honda used this song in a dialogue-free commercial for the 2016 Civic. In the spot, the car emerges from the head of an engineer and goes for a joyride, ending with the tagline, "Direct From Our Imagination."

So for some background, Empire Of The Sun is an Australian musical duo, consisting of Luke Steele (Of the band The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (of PNAU), the song came out in 2008 and was fairly popular outside of the USA, big down here in Aus. It got a resurgence in the US two times, once when it featured in a car commercial I believe it was, and the second when Wiz Khalifa remixed it into a song called The Thrill that he made in 2009, that didn’t officially release until 2020.
If you want to check out more, they recently (like within the last couple weeks) put out a new song called Changes-really harkens to that 80s tone you were describing in the video.

#2 No don't EVER stop making guesses at the genre! When I requested "I Don't Know" by Dredg and Hollywood guessed it was going to be black metal while Smokey guessed metalcore, it gave me the widest grin!
You guys should REALLY react to their song "We Are The People". It's my favorite of theirs and just so good!
Empire of the Sun are amazing, I was BIG into EDM and heard the Kaskade remix, decided to hear the original and bruh so glad I did. Yep very Happy music, this Australian Duo are so underrated.

Changes is their Newest Single and instantly made want to listen all their music, I'll probably check out Two Vines this weekend. Smokey and Hollywood it'll be worth to continue checking them out, they'll definitely leave you feeling better than whatever you were feeling prior. And this coming from someone who Listens to solely to J-Metal, J-Pop, Virtual Idol Music, Vocaloid, and EDM(mostly house and techno)...so yeah.... enjoy the EOTS RabbitHole!!!!

I heard this song somewhere in the late 2000's and wondered who and when it was from. So I researched it on Google and it took me some time to find it. It's been on a playlist of mine since. Great song. Very chill.

You guys should listen to “Electric Feel” by MGMT
There are dozens and dozens of great remixes of this song. A lot of these songs form the early 2010 became more famous from remixes from artist like The Twelves, Two door Cinema Club, RAC and lots of others.
Weird I just realized that the pure remix producer has vanished..which kind of sucks
Unrelated: I dare you to react to Andy Kaufman stand-up. Try the clip called "Dadaist comedy genius, 1977". He was weird as hell but truly original.
Lush is probably the word. Have to say that the video looks like of stoned wonder. In several of their videos they project sort of sci-fi foreign planet feel.
I also would never expect you guys to cover these guys. I discovered them via Tame Impala going down a RUclips hole. They are a fun band to play along to; I don't care what instrument you play. Freaking harp players can rock out to them lol.

They are way better than MGMT..Listen to songs like DNA, Awakening, and There's No Need, nothing close to MGMT...Empire are world apart and very distinct.
