+Hulk shouldve saw how he carried a game this morning, he wa playig genji and had a zenyata lucio on his team, he literally carried 1v5 for the whole game and was playing vs some lvl 120+ guys, shit was crazy

tbh his Mercy pocket heals him 24/7 of every game. 90% of the games I see with him playing Genji he always has a Mercy with him, so it helps a ton.
No it's not 90%. 90% of the time he goes back to Mercy or to healthpack after savage. 10% of the time he has Mercy in the air, mostly on Pubs. He's a flanker, flanker doesnt have pocket healing.

Genji's movement also allows him to be difficult to hit and impossible to chase, allowing him to disrupt tanks like Reinhardt as well. Deflect also can be very valuable in a ton of ways.
He can be hard to chase, but winston can definitely do it.

You always have a pocket healer it makes this so much easier
yeah good healers compliment good tanks and dps but if your dps and tanks are bad u get shit on as a support so many good players don't play support because they can't enjoy the game being a healer focused down by a reaper who can walk past your whole team strait for you, kill you, and walk away alive.
if you're playing support just look for who's on fire on your team and pocket them. That'll do more than trying to chase around people that charge in and die right away

not necessarily. He's playing at a extremely high level with mostly pre-made teams. So chances are he's facing other high-level premade teams. Pocket medic is a legit strategy and the other team probably has one too.

Hey, I just want to say thanks for making your videos. I started maining Genji about 2 days ago, and after 12 hours played, I've improved way more than I thought I would. I'm working on that right click->melee->swift strike combo now. Seriously dude you are awesome at Genji.

I see movement like this almost every day, It's not uncommon for a genji to be good. Seagull is good I won't lie but I've seen some randoms that are not being pocketed that are doing 10x the work.

It's not a one shot kill, if you mean you don't get those. It never is, unless your opponent has taken damage, takes at least two shot and can go up to 5 if killing roadhog

as a soldier main in tf2, I'm a little confused why he said it's not that aim intensive... if you are playing the class right (landing directs) you are constantly predicting where your target iss going, and trying to land air shots. it's not the same as a hitscan class that needs to get headshots all the time, but I'd still say it's pretty aim intensive in it's own way. I'm still learning ways to improve at least x)

I know there is some sort of combo you can do with genji to get the most dps with animation cancel. Can someone please describe how it works?
Right click > Melee> Swift Strike.
The classic genji combo is more of a burst combo, not a dps combo, used to quickly finish off low health targets at close range.
It goes like this: rightclick (cone shuriken) -> melee attack (default v) -> dash (shift).
you just press those commands in quick succession

You can say w/e you want about him having a good mercy to help him, but bottom of the line is this guy is insane with Genji even w/o the constant healing and damage buff from Mercy.

Whenever I swift strike someone, I find it disorienting because I'm now behind them and I have to turn around and try to reacquire them. :(
That's why you should mainly use that when they are low health or to get away.

I'm so glad to encounter the mistakes/wtf moments in your video that I know from playing Genji myself, like loosing sight of target due to my own acrobatics (0:22) or not working alternative fire (2:23) :-D
Still while I sometimes come close to your level of playing it's crazy that you play at this level consistently and can switch so many heroes without any issue :)
But I know what would help, where can I tame my own Mercy? :-D Also I would love to play with you as a double Genji to see the sort of mayhem we could cause behind the enemy lines :-)

YO seagull, I use pharahs rockets to jump similarly to how you use the concussive blast and then use the jump boost. Even just shooting the ground with the normal shot + tapping hover works just like her jump jets.

that's the basic Genji combo, it's pretty fundamental to high level Genji play

Yea here's a tip, having a main in overwatch is useless. In fact, I'd even go as far as to say having a main in overwatch actually hurts your team. Switching heros to counter enemy team is what this game is about.
i keep reading that, only in certain situations do i find that to be true. if you just play more creatively there's no need to switch.
Please stop spreading this misinformation. It's perfectly fine to have a main. Switching heroes is situational at best. Switching play-styles is far more useful as long as you're versatile with your hero
It is not misinformation. You can have several comfort picks, but maining a character is just not very wise on your part and is extremely selfish in a team environment. This is not a MOBA where characters can rely on always outplaying others. This game is very rock, paper, scissors and if you are playing Genji vs a team that has 2 tanks, fucking switch because you are wasting your time and in effect, your team's. Seagull likes to say if you go three lives without making a large impact, switch it up.
Every comment is either "omg the enemy mccree was surefour" or "why was there two genji on seagull's team?"
