I remember this game. It was good. It had its problems, but it was... Crazy. It just worked. You can't expect a game to provide the kind of satisfaction that OW did on release forever, but man... It was juice for the brain in so many ways.

No instant replay this time; I'll probably be dropping the idea since I'm not too fond of it. From your end, it seemed like a small minority hated it, a few more liked it, and the vast majority was indifferent to it.

+Dark Metal Shooter it was for genji. Seagull said he is no longer viable in high level competitive play and wasn't very thrilled with some of the nerfs so I'm giving respects to Genji. It was great while it lasted
TheGodAmongstMankind So it wasn't really good for low level players, and now it's worse for them. Also, it'll be unusable on high level players. Then what the f*ck is the reason for this nerf?
+Dark Metal Shooter blame Reddit. Although all he needed was an ult cost increase and maybe a reduction in ult time but instead they hit him too hard. He lost a lot of his mobility so now he feels clunky to play, he lost his right click melee dash combo so now his damage output isn't as good.

Genji need a slight nerf to his ult, but they nerfed him in completely the wrong way.

The ult itself is slightly shorter, but people are saying the ult is what was wrong with Genji. The nerfs he got mainly affect him, not his ult.
Other complaints that Genji had such a high skillcap, that mastering genji was better than mastering any other hero in the game. This lead to genjiplayers with 80-90% winrate which isn't balanced. In the higher ranks people are reported saying: 'It just comes down to who has a better genji on their team'. The other nerfs to Genji make him weaker in high level play, but not that much weaker in lower level play (except ult duration)

I used too hate genji when I started in the open beta, I thought he was low risk, high reward and easy. However, since playing him for myself I learned that he's actually both challenging and fun, and I believe that good genji players should Be rewarded. I also learned how to play against him and try to shut someone down. All the people crying for nerfs are just shit kids that can't learn how to play, and blizzard listen for some reason, now us genji players have to suffer. FeelsBadMan

The sound of Genji being electrocuted might be the best sound in the game.
Though I must say, the sound of the blizzard developers tying him down to a chair and breaking his kneecaps with baseball bats is pretty nice too.

+Daragh de Vere His ultimate duration was reduced to 6 seconds from 8 seconds, and you can no longer swift strike to cancel a melee, so the shotgun tech is no longer usable.
He is viable, seagulls main complaints are 1. the movement-nerf only affects 60/70+ genji, 2. the movement-nerf does one terrible thing, it makes genji less fun too play and thats never a good sign.
Genji don't need any nerf. It's seagull who need one.

Yup he agrees with the ult nerf which was needed, and he said although the animation/combo nerf was unneeded he can understand why they did it. But he is most upset about the triple jump, since that was one of the few things that defined the skill of different Genjis. So to Seagull they are basically nerfing the skill cap of the hero for higher ranks which makes no sense.
Like all they had to do was nerf the ult duration and slightly the range, and bam 99% of reddit would shut up since that is literally all they complain about, Genji's ult.

Lets get into it. PTR got released, (updated), recently, and Genji is getting nerfed hard since people were complaining so much. *That said*, Genji will still be a decent character and is certainly not trash tier or anything.
Ultimate duration reduced to six seconds.
Genji can no longer triple jump using wall climb.
Swift strike no longer animation cancels melee. (So his big combo is gone, and now replaced by just fan + dash.
Tell me if I missed anything important please.

Of course. It's just disappointing to see that the only reason this nerf was brought upon him was the sudden uproar in the community despite the fact that Genji only excelled at high level play with teams. All you had to do at low level is pick Harambe, but they probably were too stubborn and just wanted to stick on one character.
The combo nerf is probably the worst part about that, the jumping I feel is a slight inconvenience, maybe limiting some of his mobility on some maps. The ultimate... Kinda needed a nerf XD
there's no decency in a flaccid ult. it needs multiple strikes to be useful.
Yeah I think they kinda went a bit too far. I can agree with the ult since it had the potential for a reliable team wipe by itself which was pretty insane, but add the rest in and it could really hurt the character.

Yeah, people I get paired with are sometimes below 40 while I am 128, it is so unfair for them. Like I felt so bad for them when I destroyed them with reaper, I hope they fix this issue

Well Seagull was like he was never a Genji main but a Shamada main. Aka, he is becoming a Hanzo main now with that 30% projectile buff along with the old hitbox returning.

You obviousley dont play Genji at all, Mcree got a nerf buff also so it is different. The Nerf made him ALOT worse now, see Segulls Ult at 17:50? The last 2 seconds (which they took off) he got all his kills. The Nerf made him almost useless
Degenerate Bleach is it "not op anymore" the same as "useless" for you? 8 seconds was so much you could pretty much run around the map with dragonblade, which was stupid af considering it has no direct counters.

And do we really want to talk about mc cree? after the nerf he was USELESS, he was pretty much a one trick pony that did his job much worse than 76, he got buffed to opness (for people with near aimbot skills anyway) for pretty much 10 days, then he got nerfed again, and they made it so fan the hammer can at least be used against tracer.

Seagull is known as the "hanzo kid" I look forward to his Hanzo play following the next patch.
Though his Genji play is enjoyable, watching him dominate with an under-rated character is even more so.

After seing some of the comments, i got a question. Has anyone actually seen genji's nerfs? Cause the only thing that can actually be considered a nerf is the 6 seconds ultimate instead of 8 seconds.
