    It is so great to hear the last point because I am not a great test taker. I stress before, during, and after exams. If I don't do well I get discouraged but I know my patient contact will be better. I'm hoping to get into PA school this fall or maybe the beginning of 2022. I'm finishing up all my CASPA information. I'm waiting on letters of recommendation from doctors and PAs. My personal statement is just about done. Thank you for your videos.

    Wow. You just made me feel at ease! I'm in my junior year and already looking into CASPA so I can work on my applications! Unfortunately I have to retake my A&P since I took it 10 years ago. But I just found out some schools like in Texas don't care about how long ago the classes were taken. However, as I'm waiting to get into a program, I'll take A&P again just in case I don't get in the programs in Texas! Do you or does anyone else know if there are other schools that don't have a "time" restriction for the prerequisites??

    Grades do matter. Several of the residency/fellowship programs I applied to had a min GPA of 3.0, and having a strong GPA is definitely viewed favorably for many of the adcoms (at least I've been told this). It would make sense to favor strong GPAs, because the majority of residency programs lump you in with physician residency programs, who undoubtedly value book smarts and textbook knowledge.

    I’m 20 & JUST decided I wanted to be a PA Im not in college so I understand I have start all over & get a bachelors degree first since I’m just figuring out my career path. I’m currently CNA & in the process of getting my MA certification bc I feel as if that would be better for clinical hours in the long run & also having a stable job during the whole becoming a PA journey. do you think I should stick to being a CNA while going through college & PA school or get my MA certification (1 year) & then apply to a college to get my bachelors degree & do PA school?

    • @Ml_-ir7eg
      @Ml_-ir7eg 3 года назад +2

      Not everyone thinks like that. I’m choosing PA school over medical school and I have great stats/application. I’m not even applying to medical school. The main motivation over medical school is to finish quicker to be able to start a family and the ability to switch specialities if I want.
