I love that about it’s okay to think you don’t know anything. Honestly that’s how I feel. We had so much info into one. We did take our comprehensive didactic that was basically everything from the past year and passed that so I’m happy with that. But I finish didactic year in 9 days and start clinicals the 19th of August. I’m very nervous but also very excited.
Yeah! I was expecting my first few preceptors to just throw everything at me and want me to run with it, but they understood that this was basically my first time doing real hands-on medicine. It’s always nice to let them know what rotation you’re on. Saying you’re on your 2nd vs 9th gives them a very good idea of how confident you probably feel haha.
The thought of getting into your groove and studying less because you feel more comfortable with the material... ahh I can dream lol. Second semester of didactic coming up.. looking forward to rotations!!!
love your channel! your way of presenting useful Infos, your way of talking! Really inspiring! Thanks for the effort to make these amazing videos! Greetings from Germany.
Hey thanks! I love Germany. I’m actually half German myself. I visited Munich back in 2012. I’d really like to go back sometime! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
Day with a PA cool! Will keep supporting your channel! I guess you must have took some notes on your busy PA days to collect interesting ideas for the channel. Your videos are very sincere and direct to the point, and i also like the length. (
I guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
Do you find yourself advising lifestyle changes more or prescribing meds more? I started out wanting to go into nutrition, so healthy lifestyle is very important to me and my # 1 is lifestyle change as nutrition
Quick question for you. If I get light headed after seeing someone's ankle completely shattered after a motorcycle accident, is A) PA school not for me, or B) I'll get used to it.
That can be traumatic! I’d say it’s normal and maybe emergency medicine isn’t for you? We had some students who passed out at the sight of their first cadaver haha. Doesn’t mean you don’t belong!
Got into a great school but it doesn’t have electives, is that a make or break? Also have another choice with electives, confused what to do. Your thoughts please??
Hey man! I've been watching your channel for some time now and have learned a lot when it comes to the aspect of "the life of a PA student". I am a high school senior planning on taking the same route you are. The college I plan on going to has a physical therapy degree and I thought this would be perfect to help me get into PA school. Is this the right thing to do? I hate biology and would rather not major in it. Also, what steps should I take as of now in order to prepare myself for the future?
Hey! Is it like a bridge program where you start as a freshman and you’re “grandfathered in”? A degree in PT is a doctoral degree, so this isn’t the route for you unless it’s some kind of pre-PT degree?
Yeah, I think that’ll be a good major then. You may be asked in an interview why you didn’t pursue PT school first since that’s kind of your major, so just be prepared for that!
Writing? Throughout school, there isn’t a whole lot of writing. A majority of your grades come from exams. During your clinical year, you’ll begin documenting more, but it’s not really writing.
If you got the easy answers in multiple choice questions, you would follow AHA guidelines and recommend to follow up in one week with lifestyle modifications and BP log. Not that deep man

How was it?? I am almost done with didactic and nervous

This comment made no sense, I forgot to proof it lol I hope you understand what I’m trying to ask
99% of the time I only Rx nsaids when it comes to meds, otherwise a lot of PT
Such excellent advice , thank you!
Really great, thank you for sharing

@@DaywithaPA yes its a pre-PT program. I would prefer to to pre-PT over pre med so I have more options if I dont make it to med school/PA school.

@@DaywithaPA Thank you! Love your videos they keep me motivated!
💪💪
my first rotation is my elective rotation LOL
Did you get paid for your clinical rotations? if so, what was the rate?
Funny joke 😂. You don’t get paid. You pay to be there.

If your preceptor was running an hour late, are you able to see patients without them?
Not likely, unless they’re awesome and trust you a whole lot
Not a good idea, if you can snag another doctor who's nice I would just shadow them while you waited
You have a very nice house!
You are beautfuil too😅
Thanks! It’s one of our family members houses. We are crashing here until we can move in to our home!
