See this is why the Cleveland show didn't last long
That is the cheapest most horrible animation framing I've ever seen come from a company, holy shit it was like I'm watching an animatic, they really only used 1-5-10 frames and said fuck in-betweens.
King of the hill is the blueprint for a great good times reboot keep grounded but still funny and they could be a family making money but living in New York which is expensive for everyday people they dropped the ball smh
I'm still confused how someone pitched this idea and wasn't attacked on the spot..... only reason I looked at any was because my barber turned it on. Its an animated minstrel show. Im even more shocked at the actors who agreed to work on this trash 🗑️......its as funny as watching a funeral
Bc for whatever reason people especially in corporate especially think it's funny to rib on black people as if they're not people somehow. but say anything about it and then HR calls you for threatening an employee. It's why Code switching still exists because in a lot places bc some of these people think they feel entitled to rib on black people because of perceived superiority. Stuff like "Atleast I'm not black," or "pretty smart for a black person." I've heard it and these people will look at you googly eyed when you tell them kindly that might be offensive. Theres a large portion of America conditioned to view black folks as sub human beings Because it prevents them from questioning their overlords exploitation of the masses as a whole including the racists.
When I animated on cartoons we first had to submit the key poses for our scenes, and after that was approved we'd move onto the animation phase. This show literally looks like they never did animation after the keys were finished. I don't know if it was because of deadlines or what because it looks too lazy to be a stylistic choice. The story seems bad for various reasons, but I'm convinced no one will remember this show in 10 years and we can pretend it never happened.
I’m mostly Hispanic, my grandma is black. And I feel so bad for her that she had to see this shit.
Here before 100 subs, you’re gonna blow up man.
Hangin in a chow line !
Wow…….I am blown away by the total disrespect 🤢🤢🤢🤢
What a horrible disgrace!
I give this show a 3/10. The worse thing a show can be is BORING. Even if it's overtly offensive, if it's interesting, at least it's done it's job. Tis show doesn't even deserve a 4AM slot on adult swim on Sunday.
All 3 points afr for the voice actors and maybe the music. That's it. The rest is *NOT* a good time. 👎🏾
the animation looks like they REALLY didnt want this reboot to look like family guy but ended up having the same stiff, soulless look. with a fresh coat of "le modern indie animatione"
Steph Curry is trolling us in some kind of blacklove experiment
In the series finale of the original Good Times, the Evans family leave the ghetto and everyone goes their separate ways. So how did the new generation of the Evans family end up back in the ghetto?
Me and my mom tried to watch the Netflix series… we couldn’t even make it past the first minute or two after seeing a singing cockroach in the shower.
I absolutely hate it to my soul and I was really hoping that Netflix was pulling a late april fools prank 💀
Lol ngl that's one of the most memorable episodes in King of The Hill
Seth MacFarlane is probably the reason for the baby and we still have pool halls in Sweden but they are often part of a restaurant/bar
This shows perpetuate stereotypes of today just like good times of the 70s
except, this one had none of the message, substance nor the great peformances that the original had.
8:18 I think the main reason they put him as a cab driver is for possibility of character growth
Because he can stay as a cab driver and then one episode he realizes that Uber drivers are actually making more money so he started doing Uber, but then he realizes that Uber drivers don’t have the same protections as a cab driver so she was back to driving cabs
Orville Season 5 better be on par with DS9's Season 4 and onwards to make me forget that producer credit...
First the Cleopatra documentary, now this.
Incredible video, continue to make more! ❤
The way you speak in your videos is so natural and pleasant. I like this very much
I just downvoted on Netflix I think every African should down vote this terrible show until it’s removed from Netflix ‼️‼️‼️‼️
As a white guy, I can tell these jokes were quite literally written by a white guy. It's a shame too because there are some funny animated shows about black characters, like Boondocks or Black Dynamite. They make jokes that everyone can get, and they don't use stereotypes with white guy humor. If anything, they make fun of the stereotypes presented.
This show however? Seems a bit racist to be honest.
Racist jokes can be funny.
Really good content man, keep it up. Excited to be able to brag about how I found you before you got big in class couple years ago
I’m laughing at how stupid this show sounds
Only good to come out of this show was your review of it. Keep up the good work, I'll definitely be looking forward to your future projects. 👍
Dude how old are you that you’ve never been to a pool hall? They literally have them everywhere, bars, pubs.
Please watch the remaining episodes so i don't have to. I haven't watched it yet but it doesn't seem to be a show that's for us or by us. There is no way of realisticly seeing a grandchild of James moving into the same projects in the same unit after he pushed his own kids to do better in life. I have known generations of people to live in the projects and are comfortable with that but just watching these clips of the show, it doesn't look enjoyable for me.
It's atrocious and the opposite of funny
The show was pretty bad from what Ive seen so far so watching the rest is a tall ask lol if the video hits 100k Ill watch the rest
😂😂 I'm finished..I said in another review that the ancestors are already punishing Steph for this by taking him out if the championship
"No more basketball for you lightskin" 😂
11:03 fantastic point
Thanks for suffering through 4 entire episodes of this bullsh*t show to make this review. I couldn't make it past the trailer. It sounds as bad as we all thought it would be. Shame on the writers of this trash.
i liked it tbh
i think we should look past it and let it be its own show not some we used to watch as kids
Showing love for the thumbnail G😂 My eyes would burn after watching that bs too
Gone are the days of a normal and unique show without the race and stereotypical bullshit.
This feels more dated than the 70s sitcom with it's Dubya era edginess
The Background Art looks great, at least.
Even the title is racist, Good Times Black Again....Like Netflix and the show runners are taking the piss
99% of the writers and creators of the show are black, it literally makes no sense why it’s so racist and full of negative stereotypes
People still hustle in pool halls let’s be real
They canceled Bone to make this??!!!
Love your take bro!!!! I write African and Diaspora SyFy. We need to write our own.
Can you refer me your work so I can support a black business friend?
Thank you for the support! More videos coming soon. Yeah if you can send me some of your work!
Just getting edited out soon.
This just feels like a worse version of Everybody Hates Chris
The fact that this was green lit tells me they have a room full of white writers and a couple of washed up tokens on this project.
Can say as an animation enthusiast, artsyle and animation is incredibly off-putting. You can definitely tell Seth MacFarlane was involved.
It feels like someone made this series, then some studio executives re-wrote some parts and renamed it to give it brand recognition. Just soulless.
