- This was the second installment of our Steps to Christ reading challenge. In this session I sat down with my dear friend Elise Harboldt to discuss a thrilling and beautiful chapter 1.
Steps to Christ was written by prolific author Ellen White in 1892. It is one of the most translated books ever, having been translated into more than 100 languages. It is also one of the top five most influential books in my life personally, and is a book I've read through more times than any other.

Hello pastor I was only able to watch one chapter and 1/2 if not 1/4 of the supplemental session forming a biblical self concept and then one of my fears showed up… starting things and quickly losing consistency and even when the motivation is there. I used to wonder how you are consistent every day for over months and years and only challenged by external circumstances but now I get the point in-fact I see the point and I can tell God is leading you and giving you this consistently and confidence. God opened my eye in prayer and my thought for the first time made sense I could see the vail lifted it’s a reality I can’t deny It’s now clear I know it’s God I see now how he has led you. everything around me is getting clear and I can see my sins that I didn’t even notice I committed… I now can’t believe how I blind I was to my sin. Looking to Jesus I see the transformation happening in me. And my view of all people around me just changed. I want to share my testimony so much but I feel it’s a shock some of my friends yet I’m allowing God to led for the first time my Bible makes total sense. The excitement has been with me from Thursday 9-2-2023 till now four days after. I want to sing praises to God. I know my life is now taking a drastic change but its God leading…..

With roses. So Jesus always provides something good, where there may be pain!❤️

My word was sorrow. Jesus was a man of sorrow. Because of His love for us I feel that seeing the state we are in on this earth makes His heart sorrowful.
YES, YES, YES, everyday life as worship!!!! AMEN!!! I can't tell you how often, I feel blessed just having a shower or indoor plumbing. For fresh air and living in the mountains. How can we miss God's blessings? We aren't "mindful" of them enough.
Praying my daughter and two friends will watch this with me. Such a powerful true picture of God, the love we all desire.
So thankful for these RUclips videos. I can't attend the live on IG because of the time here on the east coast and just so happy I can join in here. Love these devotionals. So thankful to you Pastor Asscherick for sharing this with us. My word is Character because God's character is Love and His love is revealed through all the good things He gives us even though we do not deserve them.

Hi Polly. That is what I love about watching these on RUclips, you can watch anytime. When DAwithDA first started I didn’t know about it and started a couple of weeks late but binged them and got caught up quick. DAwithDA was so good and so was OTwithDA. I have learned soooo much! Thank you , this is one of many blessings Jesus has opened my life to. Thank you pastor David. I am amazed at how you Elise are very understandable with such learning you have. Both of you are examples of the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus. My word is Revealing or this chapter. As far as my mission statement it would be share the Gospel at all times, when necessary use words.

It is hard to "love" humans, the best book I've ever read OUTSIDE of scripture and EGW, on getting closer to people is, "Feeling Good Together" by Dr. David Burns. He is not "Christian" but was raised by a minister and he is very spiritual. I've worked with him for a couple years and I think he listens to the Holy Spirit because what he writes goes against "worldly psychology" and is inline with scripture. Anyway, I'm excited about the practical tools he offers. As someone on the Autistic spectrum, the practical tips has helped me so much dealing with people, by God's grace, I'm now a clinical counsellor. To God be the GLORY!!!
