PASTOR ASSCHERICK, My wife just said something that BLEW MY MIND!!! She said, “If one of the big reasons for Lucifer’s discord and revolt in Heaven was the Nature of Christ (whether Jesus was really God or just an angel like him) then it makes perfect sense that he would make that such an area of confusion and contention here among the Church!”
My mind immediately went to the sometimes very contentious topic among SDAs concerning the Human nature of Christ, and also some of the Anti-Trinitarian movements that attempt to UnDeify Christ. Like, “Anything but God! Whatever He (Jesus) is, He’s anything but God!” FANTASTIC STUDY!! We’re a little late starting, but we will be continuing to follow along..
So basically Jesus loves his creation so much and finds it so beautiful that he takes their form to more fully connect to them. Beautiful

God always has been a part of His creation, (He condescends), first as an God -Angel (Arch Angel Michael - the Captain of the Lord of Hosts) then as Jesus, the God - man where He became "a little lower than an Angel". Psalm 8. Note, Father God dwells in unapproachable light. He becomes a part of His creation thru Michael/Jesus.
David's prophecy seminar " how not to get the mark of the beast" was instrumental in me and my relationship with God..thanks. I'll continue to watch.

I'm sorry to comment so late. I did not know you done these kind of classes. I found a whole bunch of them. I know the Lord lead me to these. He is helping me to go deeper in my relationship with him.
This was my 1st one in Patriarchs and Prophets. One day I would like to get the nice books and journals.

I love this chapter! I had a little challenge with what you said about Jesus coming to be like an angel. On page 38 in Types and symbols first paragraph, it mentions that there was not a change in the position or authority of Christ. It was because of Satan's accusations that made it necessary for God to set it straight who Jesus really was. He had always been who He was. Some of the angels were deceived. Correct me of I am wrong. I feel if Christ was looking like an angel but was not, that it would have been an excuse for Satan. I do think that belief is speculative, not necessarily true.
I would have ignored this who thing, but this has been a debate my husband and I have had for years. He believes Jesus came down to be like the angels too. Other than that, I really enjoyed studying this chapter.
Remember that in the passages of the fall of a Lucifer, Jesus is referred to as Michael the arc angel. So yes, in Him coming down to dwell with the angels, He took on their form. Likewise in coming to dwell with us, He became a man. Neither changes who He is or his position. But it’s the essence of Emmanuel, God with us.
At least that’s how I have understood it.

It is fascinating to see that the whole chapter is talking about - God the Father and His Son - there is only two persons mention there.
The man kind was made in the image of God, and ‘mankind’ is made from male and female - two persons, as well.
The nature of the Son of God was not understood by angels and Lucifer, because he took the form of the angels; to communicate with created beings.
The Son is ‘expressed image of the Fathers person’, (Heb 1:3) and He is one with Him, a ‘candle burning on both sides’ so to speak.
He is “the ONLY being that could enter into all the councils and purposes of God”…
This is the picture the Ark of the Covenant is painting as well. God our Father, sitting on the throne; and two equal-looking Cherubisms, on both sides. The Son of God/Michael, descended to the form of an Angel, to communicate with the created beings; and Lucifer, created being, wanted to ascend to the level of the other two.
Lucifer wanted to be the part of the ‘council’ of the other Two. (Zec 6: 13)
Jesus said: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”. “God is Spirit”. (John 17:3; 4:24). Hallelujah. “Hear of Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD”. (Deu 6:4; Mark 12:29)

Hi Pastor David, I would like to know why the Holy Spirit was not mentioned in this Chapter if He is a member of the Godhead?
Hi David. I was going through patriarchs and prophets I think the first or second chapter. Maybe you can help me clarify something. When satan and his angels fell it says if they were to ask forgiveness and stop rebelling they could have their positions they had before. My question is it didn't say Jesus had to redeem them before restoration happened. Its just a thought that keeps coming to mind and not sure where to find the answer
I'm not sure if this helps, but check out page 41. It might answer your question.
To me it appears the angels were still debating. No actions were made against God, just arguments. That's probably why there was still hope for them to repent and the "door of hope" still open to them.
Once they rejected "the pleadings of divine love and mercy" into an "active revolt" that was it. So that condition of reinstating their position was before they decided to actively go against God and "assert their liberty by force."
@@icyflames007 Lucifer in the same chapter said they had gone too far to return, So they would have had to of taken some action down the wrong path. What was the difference between mounting a rebellion and being able to return vs adam and eve taking the fruit. Both were rebellion in one way of form but what I am saying is what was the redeeming act God would have had to take for those angels vs men. it just doesn't seem from the limited info we have that there was any accept calling them back to unity.
@@Real143Studio "Lucifer told them they had gone too far to return." He did tell them that but how do we know he's telling the truth? What if he's lying to them? And if the truth is that they hadn't gone too far, could it not have simply been a matter of repenting in their case.

Hebrews chapter 1 God calls the host together.
Be careful and reject any hint of thought that could lead to pantheism (around 47:35). I am NOT saying you are teaching pantheism, but that thought could lead to it. Otherwise, very good commentary!
"God is love." 1 John 4:16. His nature, His law, is love. It ever has been; it ever will be. "The high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity," whose "ways are everlasting," changeth not. With Him "is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Isaiah 57:15; Habakkuk 3:6; James 1:17. {PP 33.1}
Every manifestation of creative power is an expression of infinite love. The sovereignty of God involves fullness of blessing to all created beings.
Please note in the 1st paragraph - this is talking about 1 person - God Himself and not 3
The 3rd para- The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in His work of beneficence. He had an associate--a co-worker who could appreciate His purposes and could share His joy in giving happiness to created beings. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:1, 2. Christ, the Word, the only begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father--one in nature, in character, in purpose--the only being that could enter into all the counsels and purposes of God. "His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6. His "goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." Micah 5:2. AND THE SON OF GOD DECLARES CONCERNING HIMSELF: "THE LORD POSSESSED ME IN THE BEGINNING OF HIS WAY, BEFORE HIS WORK OF OLD. I WAS SET UP FROM EVERLASTING . . . . WHEN HE APPOINTED THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH: THEN I WAS BY HIM, AS ONE BROUGHT UP WITH HIM: AND I WAS DAILY HIS DELIGHT, REJOICING ALWAYS BEFORE HIM ." Proverbs 8:22-30. {PP 34.1}
Please note David left out this whole section about Jesus being from the father!
If you continue to read the chpt.- you will see that Satan was Jealous of Christ, being the literal son of God, and the position the father gave him. Before complete rebellion would start see where she says- "the King of the universe summoned the heavenly hosts before Him, that in their presence He might set forth the true position of His Son and show the relation He sustained to all created beings. The Son of God shared the Father's throne, and the glory of the eternal, self-existent One encircled both. About the throne gathered the holy angels, a vast, unnumbered throng--"ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands" (Revelation 5:11.), the most exalted angels, as ministers and subjects, rejoicing in the light that fell upon them from the presence of the Deity. Before the assembled inhabitants of heaven, the King declared that none but Christ, the Only Begotten of God, could fully enter into His purposes, and to Him it was committed to execute the mighty counsels of His will. The Son of God had wrought the Father's will in the creation of all the hosts of heaven; and to Him, as well as to God, their homage and allegiance were due. Christ was still to exercise divine power, in the creation of the earth and its inhabitants. But in all this He would not seek power or exaltation for Himself contrary to God's plan, but would exalt the Father's glory and execute His purposes of beneficence and love. {PP 36.2}
Noticed again she state the king of the universe, the self-existing one, etc... PLEASE PEOPLE- READ FOR YOURSELF!!!! THIS CHPT. TALK NOTHING OF A TRINITY. THE ONLY TIME IT CAME CLOSE TO MENTION 3 IS WHEN SHE SAYS LUCIFER- THE 3RD HIGHEST IN HEAVEN.
THE WAR STARTED OUT WITH THE POSITION GOD GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON - BECAUSE THAT IS HIS SON- AND LUCIFER DID NOT WANT TO GIVE HOMAGE TO HIM. THIS IS WHAT LED TO HIS REBELLION AND FURTHER PUSHED HIM TO GO AGAINST THE LAW OF GOD.

I fail to see a trinity in patriarchs and prophets chapter one except through eisegesis
