These estimates are really helpful. Looking at these prices at first glance can be intimidating, but there are a lot of mitigating factors. And at the end, it's always worth it.
Thank you ver much ! Very helpful like the usual. If you could make a video about gap years in the CV, rhei definitions, at which point of the USMLE journey are they a red flag. Is it when applying for the programs? at the interviews? Any tips for someone who has gap years? Thank you so much
Dr Malik congratulations iam thankful and grateful for everything UR doing I wanna ask about how I get research position that helps me for OBGYN residency can you guide me 🙏
Sir, as you've told that we're not supposed to pay for being in any research work...is it true? And can you say some names of universities providing free research scopes to img? And also which are paying to the research workers? Please sir, let me know. Being from a below middle class family, it's very important to know all these for me???
Can you talk a little about visas? Should I get a 180 day at a time visit R B1/B2 tourist visa or work within the USA with a H1b visa while doing my USMLEs? I saw that the pass rate for taking it within the USA is 10% higher, the average scores for IMGs were not shown but are presumed to be lower overall compared to USA residing graduates. I would hope to work within the USA and actively speak English for a few months prior to taking my USMLEs to have an equal opportunity to get the same number of points. Any advice?
Hi, I will be graduate from medical school from turkey in 4 months. I know I am too late to prepare for USMLE. What advice can you give to me? Should I match with a residency in my country first? What road should I follow? I think you should make a video about people like me because when I watch USMLE preparing video and hear in 3rd grade give step 1 , 5th grade give step 2 etc. I am closing the video because I said to my self you are too late.. so briefly my question is, What road should people ,who are in their late years or who has already graduated, follow in order to match with a residency in U.S.?
Try to delay getting the MD degree if you can because you must get into residency in the US within 2 years post graduation. Start learning hard and pass step 1 and step 2 CK and afterward get the MD diploma.
Age does not matter too much if you are doing things related to your specialty. If you do research after you finish your medical school directly, this should not be an issue.
Dr is it okay if we do clinical rotation in Cleveland clinic branch in another country and research at Mayo Clinic branch in another country (I’m specifically talking about the branch in (UAE 🇦🇪 ) can that build up my cv and I can match with it to USA or no It all have to be in the USA ? I thought of that since the cost of going to America itself is going to be expensive. I really hope u read my message 🤲🏻🤲🏻 and make a video explaining this point kindly please doctor
Hi Malke If I need to contact you but Iam not social media guy ( acounts deactivated) . Is there another way to contact you through an email??is the matcharesident email a direct email to you ?? Regards
Sir as an IMG is it better to go to caribbean islands and then go to US for resiency or stay in own country complete med school and then give USMLE steps and do electives and apply for residency. Which path has more chances to match easily ? BTW i am from India.

How to apply for a research work where I may be paid by the university? and required eligibility criteria....??? Please sir
Your video is always informative and amazing! Thanks for sharing man! God bless you! 🙏
Very good and detailed video. But can I ask if how long typically research lasts?
Varies a lot based on each applicant
Is it better to do research after you have already done the steps?
Why not to make research while studying in college? Is it not acceptable?
It is better to do it while you are in the US
Is one month of clinical experience in a top rated hospital like the UAB will be enough?.. since it coasts over 5K$

I did two years of research before I applied

@@MalkeAsaad so it took you 2 years after finishing med school in syria to match into plastic surgery?
what if you're poor??
Since many people are not from rich backgrounds like urself.
Hello. Can an IMG from Ukraine have a good chance to be matched?. I am a 4th year medical student studying in Ukraine.
Yes why not
Dr Malke, excuse my question, how old were you at the time of matching to plastics (I'm just after a competitive specialty like plastics) TIA
Age does not matter too much if you are doing things related to your specialty. If you do research after you finish your medical school directly, this should not be an issue.
