    Sir I am currently in 4th yr of medical school 2 months away from professional exams, can I still start preparation for usmle in my internship ?
    Moreover I don't have much to add to my CV what should I do ?
    And one more doubt regarding electives, do electives need to be completed in internship or they can be completed after my internship ?
    Kindly guide me through this....

      yes you can start preparing for usmle during internship also you should do electives in usa preferably 4 months after your internship after giving step one to increase your chances in match

    Does it effects the chances of getting interviews and matching process,if an Indian medical graduate takes 8 to 9 yrs to complete his ug and had just pass marks with 2 to 3 attempts in many of his ug subjects,even though he gets good scores in step1 and step2 Dr.Madaan..
    Please clarify once..

    Sorry but for a residency interview 'introducing yourself' part that is a way long conversation and bores out the interviewer. One should not make it longer than a minute. They are not there to know about your cat name you can make the talk short and concise so the interviewer would not lose attention.
